Default remove stamps from wood mount

How do you remove your stamps from wood mounted blocks? I want to thin out my storage space. Is there a special technique? Do the stamps work as well when put on a clear block for stamping? HELP

Do a search on the forums. This topic comes up A LOT. Here's one. Me? I (carefully) rip the rubber off, microwave for 10 seconds, and peel off the rest of the glue. Then I mount on thin EZ Mount and store in a binder. I get the EZ mount from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. Good luck!

most of my rubber removed rather easily from the foam then I attached to EzMount and store in CD cases. I purchase my EzMount at Stamp by Step...they seem to have the best price and if I needed DVD sized containers, I also purchased those through them.

good luck! it is such a space saver! I love my unmounted stamps!

I had a couple of stamps I wanted removed from the mounting, but they were super sticky and microwaving them didn't work. I ended up having to soak them in 100% acetone. It works well, just be aware that you need to use gloves if you're actually sticking your hands in it.
