Default organizing cards

Hi everyone,

I am not sure if this was answered elsewhere but, I currently store my made cards in a plastic container {Not working out} I wanted to know how everyone else does theirs I looked into the whole photo box thing but, does that work well? I do sometimes make odd shaped, big, small and so on. Do you thing that will work for me? or do you have a better idea?

thoughts please!!

I store mine in a clear photobox. It has dividers for different occasions and accommodates most of the sizes I make. I store the long, narrow ones on the sides and my little 3 x 3's and gift tags are in a little clear photo holder in the back. It works pretty well when I actually manage to get my cards IN the box, instead of around it or on top of it, lol.

I store mine in a very large, shallow, flat basket. I can fit different sized cards in it, and I can easily see them. I like to arrange the cards by theme, so this works well for me. Plus, I think it looks kinda pretty.

There's room for two rows of cards in it. I used to have it facing out, but ran out of space, so I had to turn it sideways. It's not very full right now, because I just took a batch of cards to sell at the gift shop up town. If I could get rid of the stupid futon in my room, I could turn the basket around to the front.... and have tons more room.

I bought photo albums (make sure the pages have inserts big enough for your cards). I labeled each album by theme (birthday, anniversary, christmas, easter, vday, etc). When I need a card, I go to the specific album, flip through pages, and pick out a card. The cards stay "protected"...no smudges, no corners being smooshed, etc.

I use THESE boxes from IKEA - they fit an A2 card perfectly, and well as a standard square. The are just under 6" square, so they will accomodate most sizes that aren't huge. (I make A2 and 3x3 mostly). I have a ton of them, and the only problem I have right now is that I am using a shoe shelf to hold them, and the shelves are about a half inch too short, so I have to store them without the lids. I use these boxes because I can easily pick the boxes I need and pack them in the car for the market I do twice a week. They come in different colours, so you can even coordinate with your room! ;-) And at 4.99/2 (CAD) I thought they were pretty reasonable. Hope that helps!

online shopping? or see if someone who lives near one would pick them up and ship them to you? I am not sure if they're flat packed or not...been a while since I was in Ikea...but I do like that idea-one for each theme of cards since those boxes are reasonable....

Hi! They are pretty flat when packaged - they sandwich the folded boxes between the two lids, so each package is the size of a lid, and about 3" deep. It doesn't look like they are available online, but like the PP said, you could have someone send them to you. I don't live near an Ikea, but my parents do, so I usually have them bring me a few when they come out. Just make sure you specify that you are looking for the CD boxes - the Kassett line carries a multitude of different box sizes and styles, and some of them are quite large.
Have a good day!
Jo
