Default Looking for marker & refill storage ideas

So right now I have the Stamp N Storage ink pad holder that holds 60 pads. I was thinking of asking for the Stamp N Storage combo holder that also holds the markers/refills but I'm deciding on that or asking for gift cards so I can order some stamp sets from Simon Says Stamps. I have such a huge wish list from them. Not sure what I want to do......arrrgghh!!!

So if I decided NOT to get the combo holder, what is a good alternative way to store my Stampin Up markers & ink refills? Is there anything at Michaels or ACmoore that will work?

Stampin up stamp cases the ones that look like dvd cases hold the markers beautifully, there is even an insert you can print off that shows the colour group. The reinkers fit in several different types of cases, my girlfriend holds hers in the new wood mount cases. Works like a charm.

I hope this was helpful.

Thanks for the idea. Clever!!! I might have to try this but adapt the inserts to match the markers and refills that I do have. I have most of those colors, but not all.

In case you do the DVD case thing (which isn't what I do but neat idea), organizemore.com has a shelf unit for them. Nice people, small business. They also have ink pad/refill/marker organizers.

I just have an ink pad organizer from them - am partial to white shelving, and keep reinkers in a clear box in the closet, since I rarely need those, but want ink pads at my fingertips.

Tell us organizing addicts what you decide to do!

BTW, I keep small distress ink cubes in the Tim Holtz tin boxes stacked on top of the unit, each tin box labeled corresponding to Tim's color chart. I also use those boxes for small cube inks like Hero Arts Shadow inks and other companies' small inks.
