Default Island Help please

If you have an island in your craft room - what are the dimensions of the island? Also, how large is your crafting room? I have a 10x12 room which I'm considering an island, but also have a daybed in that room which takes up almost a full wall. Logic, would say ditch the day bed - but I really like it and would like to keep if at possible. I just need more work counter space for tools, Cricut, sewing machinge, Big Shot, Clip it UP, etc as well as work space. Thanks!

Would it be possible to build, or have someone build, a tabletop that folds down over the bed so you have more countertop space without sacrificing the bed? When you need the bed, you could just lift the tabletop. Kind of like the opposite of a murphy bed

I have an island, actually two long tables back to back. One is a table top supported by two bookcases, one at each end, it is about 30" x 72". the other is 23" x 59". I also have a piece that was sold as a kitchen island, it is higher and has some drawers and compartments, and I use it for a die cutting station, it is 24" x 54". I am having difficulty figuring how to rearrange the room so I have more space for it, it is really crowded on one side. My room is about 14' x 19' so I have a good area. But I also have a sewing desk, office desk, and 5 large windows that make it difficult to configure.

I have a quilting cart that folds up into a 3x3 but opens up to 3x5 approximately. It is also on wheels that lock so it's mobile enough to put into a corner. I've used it during a party as a pub table with a couple of stools and a table cloth.

What about a portable rolling island. You can push it up against a wall when not in use. You can also use it in the kitchen or dinning room if you have several people at your house for different occasions.

You can put coasters under the wheels, so that it doesn't move when in use.

I HAD an island. I grew tired of walking around it all the time. Pushed it against a wall and I love the room now. To each their own, I guess

you girls gave me an idea. I have a big really expensive well made quilting table that folds skinny narrow. both of the sides fold down and it is on wheels. I snagged it at a thrift shop for $40 (they had started it out at $100 two months earlier) anyway I am now going to turn it into an island when I want to use it and then roll it back to the wall when I don't. I even have some bar stools that will work with it. thanks for the inspiration.
