Default Finally! Distress Ink Blender Pad Storage.

I must be the last person in the paper crafting universe to figure this out:

Even though I've had this unit for a whole year:

I was still keeping my pads in two of these, a workable but annoying solution:

Duh!

Now they look like this, with the pads fitting in there so nicely:

I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out. A whole year.

Everyone else already has, I have no doubt.

Except maybe this - did you put a piece of clear packing tape across the top of the pad's cap, so your wet blender foam isn't resting against the paper? I did. But then, you probably don't have nine ink pads sitting on your desk at any given moment, with blender tools on top. ;-)

Thanks for posting this! I've been toying with various directions to go with ALL of my ink pads, and this has spooled me into some real, workable solutions. Amazing what one little idea can trigger, isn't it? The train of thought has boarded and is well on its way down the tracks - thanks again!

I tell you, Sue, I finished this up last night, and this morning I was working on a project and wanted to use my Distress Inks and it was SUCH a pleasure not to have to hunt for each pad. I just kept laughing at how long it took me to do this! So obvious! (I think I was hesitating to "deface" the pads with velcro stick-ons. What if it didn't work? Then all the pads would have a piece of velcro on top. So silly!)

Of course, you can see from my shot of the Distress Ink unit that I have plenty of homeless pads of various types stacked everywhere (almost thirty, not all of them can be seen in the photo)... I have ordered another unit from Organize More. How nice it will be to clear my desk of all those stacks of ink pads.

Anyway, glad my solution sparked something for you!

Eureka....I don't have this holder but, I do have the cassette rack and there is room in each slot to store the pad and the foam piece.

Are these pads concave a little on the bottom like the nick bantock ones? ( can't remember ) am at work... I have mine in a spinning cassette rack holder thing and I have to wedge them into it so I know there is no room on the lids... but, there may be space under the pads. ( will have to look)

I think that is really brilliant though, the Velcro... tfs!

Yes, there are lots of people who put the pads on the bottom, there's a space there. I tried it at one time myself, and I found that it prevented me from stacking my pads (I had no organizer unit at the time) so I went to the little plastic bags. Now I wouldn't want them on the bottom because I don't want to risk getting ink on the unit. And it's just so convenient having them on top, and I have the room to do it. But there's no reason you couldn't put them on the bottom if you haven't room at the top of your storage slots. Pretty sure the pads would still fit in your rack. I'll be interested to know if it works.
