Hello! I am absolutely thrilled that I am a finalist in this wonderful contest!! I love Splitcoaststampers and I love the Scrapbox! I did want to let everyone know that when I entered this contest I was not going to tell you all what is happening in my personal life. I did not want to play the woe is me. I did on the other hand need to be truthful and tell you why I do need this Scrapbox. I found it freeing to share my story even though it is still such a secret. We feel as if we are hiding and I found this a great release. I hope that when you are choosing your Winner, you consider me. I will answer any and all queations you may have. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!
Hello! My name is Carrie and I am addicted to Rubber Stamping! I need some help with my area because nothing is right at my finger tips. I have to dig in bins upon bins that are stored under my tables. My area is in my unfinished basement (and it smells like a basement)! It is freezing down there! How can my projects turn out the way they should look when I am shaking. So, my goal is to have a work area upstairs so that I can be readily available for my family and not have to go downstairs at bedtime. I need some sleep too. I would love to purchase this beautiful piece of furniture, but some very unfortunate events have happened to my family in the past couple of years. I lost my job so money is tight and we are struggling to pay unexpected medical bills for both of our children. Due to our situation, I turn to my paper crafting and stamping to help with my stress. I am very lucky that I do have an area dedicated to my art as I am sure that many people do not. I would love and cherish this precious gift.
Update......
So as I mentioned, I am stressed. I thought that I might open up a little regarding my stress and where it is coming from. I have two daughters one is mentally ill and the other has health problems (she has chronic aspiration). I lost my job 6 months ago because I asked for a few days off here and there to get my girls to their appointments. people don't usually talk about mental illness. It has affected every aspect of our lives. Just like many families who have a loved one who is mantally ill we try to keep it quiet. Very close friends and family know what is going on and just how horrible it has been others know something is up. It has been really tough and I am trying to hold it all together but it is hard. Papercrafting is my out, it makes me happy. I need to be upstairs to monitor my children. Because I am in the basement it limits my crafting time to very little. I need to be upstairs with my girls. I spend my days worrying about my children, running from appointment to appointment and unable to find a job. This is why I am asking you to consider me. It would help me destress and get a part of me back.
Please get me out of my basement!

I think a real Good Heater would help you. You have some real nice crafty items I see in your pictures you have done. Put up a small shelf to take care of the book pile and it looks like you have a nice area...you need time alone to yourself with that stress.
So go get that Heater and Stamp away...I think I need it more than you too. I don't have a table/desk or a chair. I need to put that Scrapbox in my BIG EMPTY SPACE in my Bedroom.I am in the closet and need to come out.

So I had a dreamlast night. A beautiful dream about me and the Scrapbox. I could hear my family in the background. I was warm and toasty, I could smell fresh baked apple pie. There were no spiders or dangerous corners. I was stress free and everything was right with the world!!! Oh how I dream of that Scrapbox!

What?!?! dampness!? Oh no you cannot put the Scrapbox in that basement, the wood would get warped and not do well. I will have to take it, my closet gets so hot in the summer that I need it more than you. And it will get well taken care of in my space in my bedroom.
The Scrapbox will not be put in the basement!! I am trying to get out of the basement and closer to my family! It will be put in my living room! I DO NEED IT MORE!

Well I took a good look at your pictures again. EEEk! No wonder you have nightmares and it's scary down there. Get those Halloween - Jack o Lanterns off that cabinet and you'll be fine!
Hmmm You do have a nice desk and cabinet you can move upstairs into the living room. You really can't use the Scrapbox because when it is opened and you work on it - it will block your view. What if your family is watching TV and they ask "Mom did you see that"...and they may be upset if you miss those exciting parts.
You even have a nice stereo I see on that shelf.
No I Need it because I don't have a desk and all i hear in my closet is not music..but the sink on the other side of the wall and the toilet flushing(my bathroom is next to the closet).
What??? I can't seem to hear you?????? I am down here on the dungeon!
Okay in2stamps, I will give you my table and the stereo to put in your closet!!! The Scrapbox is the only thing that will fit in the area designated for it. And only a beautiful piece of furniture would be allowed in the living room, not a table and an old stereo!
I think we both need it!!! But, seeing as how I ma buried in medical debt and unable to find a job, I NEED IT A LITTLE MORE!

Yea well you are so kind..But you see that's the problem the only thing that will fit in my space is the Scrapbox. I need the feature of the fold in table and closing doors. The space is in front of my bedroom dresser so I can't have anything block the drawers and believe me the Scrapbox won't...I measured every inch to make sure.
So you keep that table and you will keep your view of the TV and have that family time with the family so they could wave to you from across the room and you WILL see them. ;)
I can't WAIT to get my Scrapbox from Splitcoaststampers Giveaway. YAY!!!
But here is another fact that I will be facing. I live out in the country and unfortunately mice find their way into the basement. Have you seen Willard????
I know that the judges wouldn't want my supplies subjected to the dampness and the creatures that lurk in the dark dingy smelly basement. They will also want to see the smile on my children's faces when The Scrapbox brings my family Peace, Harmony and Joy...... I can almost hear the Angels trumpeting! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

So I am just checking in. There are a lot of entries and a lot of people who deserve to win. I really do think that this would make a positive impact on my life. Things have been out of control for a long time here. I have surprised myself that I shared the information in my firts post with all of Splitcoast, but I really do need this beautiful Scrapbox. Oh but my area is in a basement....the basement also leaks when it rains too much or when the snow melts. The heat has been fixed, but up until now there was little to no heat in the stamping room. I do have a window, which is ground level and the dog lays outside the window and looks in if I have the blinds open.
We all need a WorkBox......chant with me.....WE ALL NEED A WORKBOX.....lol.
Okay so I went downstairs and it is FREEZING! The kids are in bed and then I got to thinking about the Scrapbox. How useful it would be in my life and how it would bring my stress level down. There are a ton of stories and a ton of people who have entered this contest who do deserve it. I do think that I deserve it as well. My daughter's mental illness is horrible. We are going to have to live with this for the rest of our lives and her medication does not help. Her illness prevents our family from being social, going out, having people over. Paper Crafting is all I have as an out. I need to be upstairs to make sure she is not hurting herself. We live in fear. I can't believe I am opening up like this, but I really need this Scrapbox. I do. Please please consider me.

Just daydreaming about the day they will be delivering my Scrapbox. Will it come Fed Ex, UPS or a Freight Service? It won't matter, I will shower the driver with fresh baked cookies and a beverage of his/her choice! It will be a Glorious day, the planets will all be in line and all will be right with the world. I even think there will be Peace on Earth and Harmony for all!!!
