Default Expedit anyone?

I am thinking about buying the biggest Expedit cube/shelf (6 x 6 feet). The cubes are 13 inches - which is so close to the height of my albums, I am not sure they will fit. Does anyone know if the We R Memory Keepers leather 12x12 scrapbooks will fit in them?

Also, if you have an Expedit, how does it work for you?

Thanks!!!
Wendy

I know my hubby has been considering getting one for his office. As he needs more storage space because he works in there so much.

Can't go wrong with Expedit. I've got CM albums and big 3 ring binders that fit just fine. I have 5 of the Expedit units that are 2x4 cubes and love the versatility. I thought of getting a couple of the large ones but am so glad I got this size. I have some on their sides as short shelves and some standing tall. I've set them up as play tables for the kids before (2 shelves together on their sides). Enjoy your new shelves and organization project.

I have a 5x4 Expedit and a 4x2 one with the desk attachment. I have Lever arch files in some cubes, loads of room! 12x12 pads stand up just fine, with a good claerance at the top too. Best craft storage I ever bought. Also, you can get drawer packs for them from Ikea, 2 drawers to a pack. Nice, sturdy drawers, and the sides of them are the same depth all the way round. You know how some drawers have a deep front, then really shallow sides? Not these.

How many CM albums ( with say, 2 packs of pages each) can you fit in a cube?

The cube openings are 13x13 inches. Measure your albums and it's easy enough to do the math. If you're like me, thickness may vary from album to album.

Would purchasing 2 of the 2 by 4 units, and the desk top allow you to make a piece of furniture that you could stand to work at, similar to the common configuration you see on Pinterest? I am not sure if my explanation is clear. What I am hoping to have is two book shelves with a work surface/top connecting them. Would this work with these units?

I plan on doing the same thing, Annie. My craft room doubles as a guest room and I need something I can set up and take down.

I've been looking at these wall units also. Just moved into a new house and am trying to decide how to set up my craft room. I like the clean lines on these and looks as though they can house lots of things.
