Ok, ladies, much thanks to Sarah, as much of this notebook is from her, but I've been busy today and have all my stamps incorporated in here. Again, I think a few in there are tagged digital, but use it at your pleasure.

Thanks to Sarah and a gal over at Stampin Connection, I was able to complete my punch notebook pretty quickly. Well, here is mine. I hope you're able to get my files from dropbox. It's all new to me. I tested it, it seems to be ok. If you can't please PM me and I can just email you the file directly.
Thanks
Amy
Thanks ladies. It seems this is yet another new technology I should learn.
Absolutely. I just stumbled onto this program this weekend, and woo hoo, I'm almost done getting all my stuff documented. I now just need to go in to clean it up to my liking. Thank you to all the ladies who have shared with me.
Does anyone have a dies/and/or nestabilities notebook they'd be willing to share? Most of my stuff are nestabilities, just building my SU framelits collection. I'm hoping someone out there has nestabilities with all the dimensions in their notes!!!
Thanks in advance. If you're willing to share, I'll send you my email.

Is there anyway to switch a shared notebook so it can be edited? It won't let me do anything or ' check' the ones I have. It just says it a read only note. HELP!
Yes. To be able to edit a notebook that has been shared,
first open the shared notebook
Then select all the notes in that notebook
File, then export as a .enex file (save it to your desktop or somewhere you can find it easily)
Then open your Evernote
File import (find your previously saved exported file)
You should now be able to edit your copy of the shared notebook

Amy, I tried to get your punch file from dropbox (I created an account there), but when I open it, it just looks like jibberish. What am I doing wrong?

Ok. Thank you. I will have to study this a little more to figure everything out. Is Dropbox the best way to save a file and then import it, or is it possible to add a shared notebook straight to Evernote on my phone?

I could not import on my phone...I'll do some more research later to see if I can find if there is a way.

Wilma, if it helps, I will gladly share the file with you directly (not use drop box) and then give you step by step instructions. The only other think I would need to know, when you download a file on your computer (can't help you with your phone) do you know where your files "rest"? Desktop? Then we can go from there. File sharing is so wonderful, it takes so much work out of the getting set up....so I want you to be sure you're able to do this.

PM me your email and we'll go from there. I already PM'd you with some instructions.
I got it to work...unfortunately, I have used all my data for the "monthly" cycle. Only 10 days until it resets........but what a LLLLLOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG 10 days it will be! Can't wait to see what you have done compared to what I have done.
Thanks!

I was at my quota also, but I had to wait a WHOLE MONTH since mine had just been reset!! So I bit the bullet and went premium!! I'll go back to a free account once I finish entering my stash. I've almost finished my non SU embossing folders.....I'll share them when I'm done.
Since I keep mine in portable containers, I just brought a container into the living room, and started entering them while my family watched tv. One more container to go (yes, I have an embossing folder addiction) and I'm done with them.
I'm getting a SU order today, but I've already added my stamp sets, punch and DSP in this order into Evernote!!! Yeah me!!!

I have just discovered evernote and am loving it! I knew I'd find lots of ideas here on SCS. It is awesome to find shared notebooks! I am lost though ... i managed to save to my computer.. but I can't figure out how to import it into evernote?

To import files into Evernote....
Click on file, import, Evernote Export Files, then find the file (from wherever you saved it to) It should import the notebook into your notebooks and then you'll be able to modify the notebook.
Sarah,
When you import something into Evernote, does it take as much room as if you had uploaded everything on your own? For example: Would your stamp collection, which is 50 mb on your computer, end up being 50 mb on mine?
Make sense????????

No. Ain't gonna. Can't make me. Broke. Still, I keep trying to come up with new ways to use it...
Stay strong!! LOL!! I'm just the type that once I start, if I don't finish, I'll never finish!! And I figure that it shouldn't take me too many months to get most of my stash entered....then the upkeep should be minimal and within the "free" budget!
I did my my DSP and I love it. I don't have much but it's all in my evernote. I would share but I haven't any idea how to do that. PM me and let me know what to do and I will share. I also have all my stamp set in and I am working on my dies and punches. Ribbon will be next.

I'm not sure....Ive sent my notebooks to several people, so they may be able to answer that if they have downloaded my notebooks....
Ladies (&Gents) Here is my Embossing Folders. You'll see I don't have a huge collection, better to wait for Sarah's ;)
But here are mine none the less.
I bit the bullet and paid for the upgrade for 30 days. I hope to get the bulk of it done before my month is over, then maintaining after that should not be a problem. So you'll see lots of me in the coming month.
hugs
Amy
FYI, I just sent an email to the "powers that be" here at SCS to see if it possible that they add the evernote file extension .enex to the list of valid extensions so we can just put the files here and not have to private email (unless you still prefer that) or use another resource (dropbox). We'll see what they say.
Carry On.

I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, but my guess would be yes. Downloading someone elses notebook WILL tap into your memory allotment. That is how I got myself into trouble ;) and just got the extra memory for one month. (you can buy it and then cancel right away so you won't be charged for another month, but you are allowed 30 days at the increased memory KWIM?) This is good when you are getting all set up. Ongoing, you should be able to stay within the 60mb limit.
SO, be mindful of the memory issue as you load up everyone's notebooks. I'd just stick to one large inventory, rather than a little collection here and a little collection there - there are sure to be duplicates that you don't want to eat up your memory. AND, when you delete them off your evernote, it does NOT reduce your memory. Maybe as a standard, we should think about when naming our files, incorporate the number of notes in the name so we know if our files are beneficial to someone. (e.g. Sarah's embossing folder notebook sounds much larger than mine which has 25 notes (embossing folders) in it, thus her's would be larger memory, but more comprehensive thus being more useful to copy)
Just thinking out loud here.

For some reason i cant find anything that says "file" to click on! maybe it's because I am using the on line version rather than downloading it - didn't want to add it to my work PC. I'll have to download it at home and see if I can figure it out there. I have it on my ipad, but don't see anyway there either.... I must just be missing something obvious!
I've been using Evernote for a little while. It just plain kicks butt. It has saved me more than once from purchasing something I already had. It's on my computer, my laptop, my iPad and my phone. It syncs with all of them so it's always current. It's really awesome. I have notebooks for my ink pads, Copics, dies, stamps, Stickles, embossing folders, paper pads, punches, and tools. I also created one for my favorite cards ideas for inspiration. Give it a try. You all won't regret it!
OK...I think I have finally finished my non-SU embossing folders (and a few of the dies)...here's the link to the dropbox file. If you'd prefer me to email the link directly to you, just PM me your email address and I'll be happy to email you the notebook!! There are 86 notes...most are embossing folders, although there are a few of the smaller cuttlebug dies.
I heard ppl uploading their favorite card designs for a certain set. I have a notebook called "stamps" and each note is a stamp set. How can I upload pictures for each note without creating another note? Make sense? Boy, for an English major I certainly haven't had mastery over the English language lately! Bear with me.

Ladies, it's late, but I just realized I was not uploading my notebooks correctly - sigh. When you open my notebooks, you'll see only one note. grrrr. I got it figured out, and I will correct tomorrow. - See I told you I was new to this. I just finished my DSP (I wanted to get my digital stuff in there and those can be tricky to find the pictures of) Anyhoo, I will correct all my above links (and I'll put a date in the name so you know it's the updated version) sheesh!
Thanks
Amy
Here are my DSP broken up into mangable files. I have about 75 notes, each upload is about 15 notes (approx) I hope they help you.
Amy P DSP#1 DSP#2 DSP#3 DSP#4 DSP#5 DSP#6
When I open your links in Dropbox it's scrambled you words, etc.
Dana, are you downloading the file, then from your evernote, you need to import that file. You don't click to "open" the file. Know what I mean? Let me know if that was your problem, and youhave it figured out????
THanks
Amy P
woo hoo ladies. I just heard from the higher powers
They just added the evernote extension to valid files. So if any of you have lots of memory left in your account, I'm going to test it with a small file. You should be able to just click on this and it will download to your own computer. Then you can import from your own evernote. Do I have that right??? It basically should remove the need to email directly, or use drop box.
Here we go, and some brave soul try it for me
Thanks
Amy
Just ran across this thread. I have a couple questions.
1.) Where do I find this program so that I can download it to my computer?
2.) What program is used to create your files? Everytime I try to click on one to see it, my computer says it does not know which program the file was created in.

On a MAC, iPhone or iPad, just go to the App store and search Evernote...
Not sure about an Android phone, but I'm sure you just go to where ever you get your apps from and search Evernote and it should come up....
Once you download the program, you can save the files that are being shared and then import them into your own Evernote program. The great thing is that it will automatically sync to all your devices that have the program...enter it once...see the same notes and notebooks everywhere!!!
