I'm in the "finishing" stages of a studio re-do. I'm looking to display some of my scrapbook pages in a way that does NOT involve frames or shelves or anything like that.
I was thinking of a clothesline and hanging my select pages up with clothespins on the line. OR maybe a long rod and hang the pages off the rod in some way.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done something like this. If so, what did you use? Photos would be fab! Thanks so much.
You know that is exactly what I want to do. I saw a beautiful scraproom with this, it involved either a curtain rod with clips or and Ikea line. I will have to ask my friend for a link because I think she uses one of those two methods.
Tracy here is the link to her room (it is posted at Two Peas) She used a curtain rod from Walmart. You are going to die when you see this room... my dream room...maybe someday. Make sure you look at all the pictures. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gall...crap-room/?c=t
Wow!!! Oh my gosh- what an amazing room! I'm drooling all over my keyboard here. LOL
Thanks so much for posting the link Michelle, I really appreciate it. I would have never thought to use a curtain rod. What a great idea. I think she's just using s-hooks through plastic page protectors to get the pages to hang off of the rod, right? That's what it looks like to me.
So many great ideas in this room. I'm definitely bookmarking this one! Thanks again!
I just bought 3 frames since they were on sale at Michaels. Was planning on doing 2 pages and framing them for my son, and the 3rd was going to be the start of decorating my room with framed pages.
After seeing this now I don't know what I want to do. This would be a great way to show off ones work, and use up those extra photos that I don't have in my scrapbook.

Tracy I think they are actually rings with clips on them but I could be wrong. I think either would do.
In her email to me she said: curtain rods from Walmart and the clips that hold the layouts are right next to the rods in the store.
So I just happened to be at walmart today and looked at the curtain rods, and you can get some that really extend a long way like over 80 inches for 15.00, and they are pretty, whitewashed, black iron, some with glass balls on the end, I however forgot to looks for the price on the clips:(
I think I am going to try it though, although I have most of my pages already in albums, but I am thinking I could display my cards that way (the ones that I receive as well as the ones that I make and haven't used, just slip them in a little clear resealable sleeve.

I bought decorative (faux) wrought iron curtain rods from Walmart and bought the decorative ring/clips to match. Slide the lo's in page protectors side ways so the holes are at the top and clipped them in place. I've hung them one under the other and rotate 6 layouts on them. It just really makes me happy to see the lo's. I always keep one up of my mom that I did after she suddenly passed away then I rotate others that make my heart sing! Hope you find just the right treatment for your layouts.

I keep looking at my room, trying to figure out where I could hang it. I took a bad fall 18 years ago off a ladder causing 3 neck surgeries (last on July 09). I would need to reach it without a ladder. There must be something, it's just such a wonderful idea!
