I'm looking for some sort of COVERED container that has individual slots that hold daubers. I've seed some in the past but I have no idea where to look now. Thanks!
I bought one at a stamping convention in Ocean City Maryland last summer. I think it was around $6, if memory serves me correctly. I haven't seen any since, but you can try your LSS, or places like Michael's Joann's, etc. Also try Inky Antics, an online website. Or even try Google. Good luck!
Could a cross stitching box work for storage? The other place you might try is a fishing shop or dept of Walmart. They have the boxes for all the bait/tackle stuff.
I got a nut/bolt drawer storage unit at Lowe's for less than $20. It has 30 small drawers and 9 larger drawers. The small drawers are perfect to hold a re-inker, sponge and dauber for each ink color. I stamped an image on a piece of paper with each ink color and put it on each drawer front. I use the larger drawers for embossing powders, glitters, etc.
I just use photoboxes. They're $2 or less at any craft store or Target/Walmart. I store my inks and daubers in there, sorted by color. That way when I pull the ink pad out my dauber is right there with the pad. Works for me.
I store all of mine in an empty SU background clam box. I have 50 daubers in there and the fit great. The box is not divided, but that doesn't bother me. I have each of the daubers labeled with a SU color.
I have these little white round tins with see through lids ( that were probably intended to be altered found them in a chain store called ben franklins) at any rate they are the right height for daubers and the daubers i have are from some of those you know those pigment pads that have 12 colors on one pad? ( I use these to daub through brass stencils mainly) so these round tins will hold 12 daubers so i have three of these filled to the colors on the pads.
they are in an iris cart drawer with su reinker bottles
I was going to order one of these, but the shipping is more then the item. Shipping for one was almost $7. I'm going to check around and see if anybody else wants any, perhaps it will be a bit cheaper if we buy several of them.

I use ziploc baggies. haha I put the dauber and sponge that has same color in together and then just write the color on the baggie. They are tossed in a drawer. Not very pretty but it works for me. ;)
I'm a bit of an organization freak, but don't have enough daubers or use them often enough to worry about storage other than a little ziplock bag. But if I did, I would use a divided plastic box. Michaels & JoAnn have them, usually near the jewelry making area. Here is one I saw at Joann's:
