Stamps...mostly in a tote box and of course the one want is always at the bottom...
Cardstock...some precut filed in a shoebox...most is in postage flat-rate boxes hiding under my bed...
Ribbon...oh just about everywhere...some rolls in a file cabinet drawer...some scrap pieces in ziplock baggies stashed in tiny places
Adhesive...usually in a box with miscellaneous (do I get bonus points for spelling that correctly) stuff...sometimes in my daughter's room with her scrapping stuff...
Patterned paper...under the bed keep company with the boxes of cardstock...hard to tell which is which...no light....
Border punches...don't have any yet...other punches in the above mentioned miscellaneous box...
O
X
Glitter...mostly in the form of stickles...in a padded envelope in a drawer...got them off the bay and they seem to like the padded envelope so I keep them in there...
Ink pads...some are organized in an old CD shelf...most are in a little cubby...also hard to reach the one I want...usually in the back on the bottom...
Versa mark...I do have one of these mixed in with all the other ink pads...
Envelopes...I keep a few in the (you guessed it) miscellaneous box...the bigger stash is somewhere in the back of my closet...I think...
A
Workbox...it's that beautiful piece of furniture in my living room that all my friends are envious of...I'll be sure and let them all know where they can get one of their very own...
A
Y
Next month all my supplies will be happy in their now SCRAPBOX home...all in their own little container...easily accessible...and all enjoying the closeness of being together...

oo I'll play:
Stamps- crammed one on top of each other in a upright shelf supposed to be for the bathroom
Cardstock- in a roll out file folder box that I always trip over
Ribbon- smushed in an empty vase...you can't pull out one without it all coming out; AND on a dowel hanging from my baker's rack...except they've all unrolled onto the floor!
Adhesives- eek, usualy hiding under 'stuff' on my table
Patterned Paper- scrapbook paper tupperware thingies, two organizers stacked on top of each other jammed in the closet
Border punches- on a baker's rack...my jumbo roller wheel fell on my head yesterday! lol
Glitter- on my table in a lipstick tube organizer...it actually works really well
Ink pads- on the top of my bakers rack, again crammed in the closet
Envelopes- still the box from the Office supply store
Acrylic blocks...I don't know, I can't find them!
My current SU! sets are stored on an upright shelf intended to be for DVD's. My retired SU! sets are either in a cardboard box in the corner of my dining room, or inside one of the lower shelves in my DR hutch. My CTMH stamp sets are in a container that sits on the shelf beside my current CS. My other clear stamps are in the boxes that index dividers come in, and I keep them on on the same shelf in my DR as my retired SU! sets.
My current SU! cardstock is stored in a box that is just the right size & is on a shelf beside my kitchen cabinets. The retired CS or CS from other companies is in a plastic 3-drawer cab thingy on top of that shelf where the current CS is.
My ribbon is actually stored by colors in SU! clamshells; they are stored in the bottom drawer of a plastic shelf thingy.
Adhesives are in a little drawer that has stuff in front of it. DSP is kept in three 12x12 plastic boxes from Michaels. Border punches are in yet another drawer that is kept on that same shelf as my CS.
My current SU! ink pads are in a DVD box <gasp!> they are stored on end, not laying flat. My acrylic blocks are in a plastic rubbermaid dish which is kept in the top drawer of one of those plastic drawer thingies.
Yeah, my dining room area is rather messy from my stamping supplies. And that's even after I gathered up a whole bunch of stuff to sell at a crafting rummage sale!
Definitely points for creativity! Love the scavenger hunt idea, I am one of the fortunate ones who have a section of the basement to myself, but even having storage, amazingly enough it is still a scavenger hunt, especially when you don't put things back where they belong or know you have it but can't quite remember what you did with it. My SU sets are stacked, numbered and catalogued, its the best way I know to keep track of what type of stamps I have, I just open the binder and can look through the images. Its the best thing I even did when I first started stamping.
S...stamps
C...cardstock - in hanging file folders in a filing cabinet - works great for 8.5 X 11 or smaller...still working on 12X12 storage

P...patterned paper - same as cardstock

LOL P Papers are located on top of a maibox shelving unit that wont fit the paper.. LOL B Border punches are stored anywhere I can find a place to put them, over flowing shoe holders. O Oodles of ribbon I have taken off the spools and stuck into large clear snack containers, but they are so knotted I can find any ends... X xtra carrying bags are stuffed in between the file cabinet and table.
G Glitter and glue can be stored where I can find them.. I Ink pads are in a holder my hubby build t but I have run out of room they are scattered all over too. I have reordered a couple of colors cause I couldnt find them. V very limited space now, then I could have friends over to stamp in my room.. Yippee E envelopes in the box how I get them located in dining room. A acrylic blocks are something I dont buy... W wealth of possibilities that I could turn my room into. A A new name for my Craft Room instead of Crap Room!! Y Yellow walls could now be painted a pretty green..
thought I'd add a few "letter" suggestions, and maybe "play" along too...
S...stamps - in stampin' up plastic boxes, which are then either in a plastic milk crate... on the craft table... on the floor... I think there are a few on the bookcase... oh and a few in my craft bag and "take-to-the-farmers'/craft-market" box...
C...cardstock - 12x12 plain sorted by color in a wire storage system, the rest in piles on the floor... patterned paper sorted (kinda) by theme in plastic drawers
R...ribbon - don't even want to go there... most are on their original spools, and then crammed on end into those plastic shoeboxes... without a lid
A...adhesives - there's some in the dining room... of that, I know for sure. The rest... umm... I think there's a drawer for them... but it always seems to be empty!
P...patterned paper - see cardstock
B...border punches - on the desk, in a plastic drawer, there's one sitting next to my laptop here in the living room...
O... Oh Boy - starting to think I need the scrapbox for my room...
X...XYRON - can't live without mine! It stays out on my work table - both the 150 and the 550!
G...glitter - in one of my plastic drawers
I...ink pads - I use those Stampin' spots - they're all in S/U plastic containers, and stacked in a larger plastic tote box. The standard size pads are in the top drawer of my plastic storage unit... above the punches and patterned paper!
V...VELLUM - stored in it's original packaging in my file drawer - with my 8.5x11 and 8x8 plain cardstock
E...envelopes - white ones are in their box in a drawer (plastic storage)... clear envelopes are on two or three different work tables...
A...acrylic blocks - the few I have are with the acrylic stamps - again in a plastic storage drawer (I really only have two of these, 6 drawers each!)
W...WHAT ELSE...umm...
A...ARGH... I really do have a mess in there!
Y...YARN - wait, that's a whole different hobby... but the yarn for my crocheting projects have taken over the master bedroom!
S - stuff, stuff, stuff - stuff everywhere you look
C - cats, I have enough cats to get into everything (4)
R - ratty, ratty rug with fishing hooks left over from my son
A- adhesives, at least 10 different kinds because you never want to be without
P - Paper, I'm addicted to paper - what more need I say
B- boxes of photos that will never be scrapped now that I'm into stamping
O- Office supplies that have no home of their own
X XRays and MRIs (I'm not fibbing here) 16 years of back trouble with 10 surgeries creates a lot of film and this is where it's ended up
G- Glitter, which actually has a home in a snap-together storage box
I- Ink, of course, which has homes all over, none of which I can remember
V- Versamark - regular, fine, champagne, frost - each one in a different place
E- Embellishments, some in boxes, some in tins, some in a basket waiting for a home
A-Alcohol Ink - I don't use it much, but I know I have it somewhere
W- Wasted items that I've bought 3 or 3 off because I forgot what I had
A- Achoo! The cat hair mixed in with my supplies is getting to me!
Y- Yes, it's tru, my supplies are a mess and I could really use a SCRAPBOX!
Ta-da!

Reason: HIT SENT BEFORE FINISHED
Nice poetry but let's talk scrapping ... I'm so disorganized I can't form thought enough to write a poem ... the organizer would help me compartmentalize my life so I would have some free thoughts dedicated to frivilous pursuits such as poetry writing...<wink>
My stuff is organized in too many places...I do not have a craft room....I need the scrapbox so all my supplies can be consolidated to one area...I spend most of my crafting time gathering/hunting for supplies and afterwards putting everything back where it was....With this wonderful unit, everything would be together and easily accessible...oh what a dream...
Sorry, I thought we were just supposed to write funny thingsabout our stuff (though what I said is true) Here is where my stuff is stored:
S - Stamps are stored sort of by category in two Iris carts and a basked on my desk
C - cardstock is in a rolling unit that has hanging folders that takes up the middle of my room
R - ribbon is on spools in the closet, bobbins in two artbin containers and on 3 rings hanging from my shelves by my desk
A - adhesives are on my desk in a basket, tape runners in a container of their own, hermafix refills in a set of drawers and in my crop bag, left overs are in another small set of drawers across the room
P - Patterned paper also hangs in folders, unless it's special, then it's in vertical files on a dresser in my scraproom. Some is actually in page kits ready to go to the next crop
B - Border punches are either sitting on my desk or hanging on a peg board near by
O - Office Supplies - or I could call them envelopes and other things needed for swaps, are in the same iris cart as my stamps
X - And I really do have XRays and MRI's stored behind the shelves that hold all my photo boxes. (my Xyron sits on the desk, refills in a drawer)
G - Glitter lives in a snap-together case on the shelves near me desk, except the Halloween colors, which are in with my Halloween stuff
I - Ink Pads. The large ones are in the iris carts with my stamps, the sets of Colorbox Cat's Eye and my Versamark Fine and Dazzle are on my desk
V - Very cluttered, very messy, not enough space for everything
E - envelopes are with their matching cards in photo boxes in the closet, strays have a box of their own
A - Acrylic blocks are in a basket on my desk with my clear stamps
W - Wasted items - stuff I bought but just doesn't fit in any category - sits in a box on the other desk
A -All the semi-started albums that have pages to go before they're done are on the far side of the room in book shelves.
Y - Yes, it's still true, I could definitely use some organizing help!
