I didn't take a picture, but I went into my craft room on the 27th of December....I don't think a bomb would have made quite as big a mess .
I rolled up my sleeves and got a recycling bag and swept the floor, cleared my craft desk from all the little off cuts and those extremely annoying backing pieces from 3 D foam (man are they determined to stay where they are!). Put away stamps, ribbon, glue, knives, rulers, pencils, paper, glitter, embellishments, and I found my 2ft by 2ft crafting mat on my desk .
I still have a bit more tidying up to do, but the majority is back where it belongs.
I was able to go down to my craft room yesterday, and make an engagement card and a birthday card and not have to move any leftover Christmas detritus to make room which made me a very happy camper!
I clicked on this link thinking I was going to learn some easy way to use MATH with my CRAFTS! LOL
I guess I still had Lydia's magical "dividing a page in thirds" tip on my mind. She shared that tip in this fuse tool video:
As for my mess ... Nope.:oops:I'm too embarrassed to post a picture. Especially since I made only a handful of cards and still have a DISASTER on my craft table.:oops:
In my defense, my disaster area includes my Black Friday order, dies from a generous SCS friend, stacks of ink pads from an in-person friend (all that need to be indexed before I put them away) as well as my Christmas card mess.
You missed my mess by a day! I went into my craft room yesterday to make a card and spent the next 3 hours putting things away! Not done yet, but I've made a significant dent. I might even take a break and make a card today.

I was keeping my room clean right up until the week before Christmas. I had 4 unplanned houseguests for 5 days and they took up all the time I had planned to finish up some gifts and keep it clean. Now that they are gone I can put down my new floor mat and put everything away to start the new year with a clean room. :p
I don't have a camera and even if I did I wouldn't now how to post a photo - BUT all these photos make me feel a whole lot better since my craft room looks exactly like these! Hopefully I'll find time this week to clean up, put away, and index all the new goodies that have arrived. I'm late with Christmas thanks you notes so some Christmas paper, dies, and stamps are still out. Cannot think about Valentine's until all this is put away.

Here's my mess and I even cleaned it up some. This has been the worst holiday stamping year ever. Well actually I've had a hard time keeping my desk clear this past year. I don't know what's wrong with me!

Look what I'm working on!!!! So excited! I've been wanting to do this forever. The mood has to hit me just right. Then I need to dive in and clean/ organize.
I've wanted to pull out my table and put up the other leaf. I did that too, making more work area!

I should refinish this table but it's always full of stuff! Plus I need it to create cards on! It was our kitchen table all the time I was growing up, so it's very near and dear to my heart. It originally was my grandmother's table. I have four chairs that match. I don't know....in my room it doesn't look quite so rough!

Oh I wouldn't refinish it either....it is the love & use that table has had that gives it its charm! I bet there were some fabulous meals shared on that table with loving conversations that now 'seep' into your cards as you make them!

Look it's a mess again! Hahahaha!
I'm working on this calendar for my desk at work. It's only been two hours since I cleaned off my table. The floor is still a mess.
One of the few things I remember from physics class is all things tend toward disorder. We are fighting physics! Thanks for the sweet words about my table!

I too spent 3 hours last week-end cleaning up-took me 20 minutes to just vacuum the room! Must have been thousands of paper and ribbon snip-its, adhesive dot backs, and well... lots of glitter! Had a lovely mug of my "fancy" tea when I was done, and just sat back in my crafting chair to enjoy the "I found my room" moment.

I love a good "I found my room!" moment!

Sorry no pic at the moment but my craft area is always in a state of disarray!
I do scrap at least once a month at a crop night so packing and unpacking the bag is always an issue, My daughter crafts with me and so her stuff is all around, oh and I let my photos get so out of hand the last few years that I'm in serious need of attacking those into some order.
Christmas brought it's own set of challenges with cards, photo gifts, etc.
Thank you for this thread as you feel my pain and I will get right in there with you to get cleaned and straightened up for the New Year!
Heading back to school in 2016 (online) and work full time but refuse to give up my once a month scrapping. I need it for my sanity. An organized space will allow me to do that!
