I don't have this system in my crafting room, but I am thinking about BUILDING it. I stumbled across an awesome blog {Knock off Wood} by a woman in Alaska who develops {free} plans for some of the most popular items from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, etc. Here's a direct link to one of her posts about the Bedford desk - http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/201...ith.html#links.
Browse around before you buy. You might be able to make something that fits your craft space better. Ana, from Knock off Wood, even has tips on having your local home store cut the wood to size for you so you don't have to worry about bring out the big power tools (a bonus if you don't currently own a table saw!)

i have it, two desks actually that i got at an outlet store for under $500. it was banged up on one side, which you don't see in my room.... they put their furniture on sale occasionally at the outlet and i got a really good deal....
i do like it but its a bear to keep clean... i have the white and have given up.... i would recommend the table top liners that are available but are pricey.

that really is a very cool site thanks for sharing
That really is the coolest site ever I am so glad that you found it
Ok, this site was the greatest. I don't need a desk at this time, but what an awesome place for me to go to when I need to build something! I have built some things in my craft room and the home improvement store did cut my wood to my exact specs and the project came out beautiful and useful.

I love spending as much time as possible in my Color Studio
I love the Bedford desk. Very, very pretty; however, for the price and for the lack of storage space, I love my Scrap 'n Cube much better. Solid wood, and stores a TON!

Thanks for that amazing link! I do have a friend who is a woodworker, so I will get him to make them for me-maybe with a bit deeper of a desk and drawers big enough to hold 12 x 12 papers! Heavenly.
i find great 12x12 filing cabinets. from oriental trading company.
had my dh glue them together. along w/ the screws.
he made my whole room for me.
12x12 was my last storage issue.
i don't know how to put a link here
but my room can be seen on daiane617's gallery
i think she has 5-8 photos
