Default Alex Cabinet Question

I can't seem to get an answer from Ikea. Do Alex drawers open all the way or do they only open part-way? I want to buy some for my punches, but not if they don't open all the way. Thanks.

They don't open fully, almost but not quite. You can fit a SU case sideways in the area that doesn't open.

If you assemble them as per the directions, they will not open all the way. It's a safety thing so they don't fall out. But if you choose not to put in the peg that stops the drawer from pulling out, they will pull all the way open. You just need to be careful not to pull too far or they'll fall on the floor.

Thanks. Almost but not quite might meet the criteria. Now to go get some.

I have 3 Alex units and love them! And as a matter of fact I use two of the drawers for storing punches.

I have two of these and absolutely LOVE them! I have the pegs in mine and they open almost completely. No trouble getting things in and out.

Thumbs up

I have 3 of these and use them exclusively for stamp storage. My only regret is not buying them sooner! I love these carts!

Do you have the taller 9 drawer set or the shorter and wider 6 drawer set on casters?

I have the 6 drawer on casters. I use it for DP paper packs, punches, embellishments, projects in progress, etc.
