Hi everyone. I was thinking about buying some of the jet max/recollections cubes and was wondering which configurations you find are the most useful. They have 2 drawer, 3 drawer, 4 drawer, open, and so many others that I wouldn't even know where to start. The only thing that I won't be storing in them is paper. If you have any advice for me, I would be very grateful. Thanks, Angel

It really depends on what you need to store. I find the 3-drawer size is handy for stickles, re-inkers (put little dots of color on the caps so you can find the one you want easily), buttons, etc. the 2-drawer ones are handy for rolls of felt, adhesives, etc. The 4-drawer ones are good for anything you store in CD cases-they hold a lot. I even stand up my wood-mounted background stamps in them and write the name of it on the end of the block with a Sharpie. Hope this helps!
Sizzix dies like Top Note and the Tim Holtz reindeer (you know, the chunky ones) fit in the 4-drawer cubes, too - and most embossing folders. I have the Cuttlebug ones standing up in the drawer, with the larger ones on their sides next to them (I don't have a lot of large ones - yet). I also divided one of the drawers in the 3-drawer and put my cardstock scraps in it, divided into color groups (blues, greens, pinks/reds, etc.) I made a "basket" out of fabric that hangs on the rails of the cube designed for 12" paper, and I put things in there that are bulky but lightweight - light box, heat gun, crimpers, stamp press, etc.
I don't use the dividers that come with the cubes as I found I can get just a little more storage without them.
It really gets down to what you have to store. I have some of mine in a cockpit configuration so they surround my stamping desk. Another benefit is how easy it is to change the configuration to suit my current needs.
I just moved into my new craft room last year and am using these for the majority of my tool and supply storage. Most of my stamps and paper are on regular shelves, but everything else goes in these. I just started with a variety and built from there as I discovered what worked well for each type of supply. I found I liked to have a few open cubes where I can put baskets for odds and ends. This was before I was finished (you can see the stack of unopened boxes along the left wall....) but gives you an idea.

Is there a emoticon for "green with envy"? Lovely.

You should take new pictures - I'd love to see the final project!
Beautiful room.
