Default New Classic Ink Pads LABELS

I just got some of the new Classic ink pads. What are you using to label the cases? Why did they stop marking the outside of the cases?

I used a label maker. It was time consuming but I like things neat! Other friends have just used sharpie!

I wrote on mine with a Sharpie.

They stopped marking the ends because SU! is going international. That means that they have to have the labels in more than one language according to labeling laws and it was impossible to fit the color names on the ends when they had to include French, Spanish and German for the names...that's why they changed it.

My wonderful demo, Eleonor showed us that the "word window" punch from page 218 fits perfectly onto the new stamp pads.
Here is a picture of it and the word document. All you do is print the list on a label page and then punch out with the word window punch.
This is the first time I've added an attachment to my post, so I hope it works.

Thanks so much for the labels. I have been using sharpies, but I printed out your labels, plus sets for my stamping friends. Now all I need is the word window punch. I'm hoping I can still fit an SS, EE, etc. on each label. I don't really have the families memorized.

You are very welcome. It makes your stamp pads look neat and organized

I think the dots will tell you the family--
Close to Cocoa has 2 dots, so that's EE, but that's the only new label pad I have.

I'm sure someone can supply the remainder of the code.

WOW! I hadn't even noticed this special coding! Thank you sooo much for sharing! I'm not sure about the neutrals... but my black classic pad has no dots... so I'm guessing for those, but the others are listed below... in the same order as they appear in the IB&C...
  • Neutrals
  • Bold Brights .
  • Earth Elements . .
  • Rich Regals . . .
  • Soft Subtles . . . .
Hoping this helps.

Linda

I I have actually made labels for my stamp pads. The color names are printed in bold, black ink on a clear label and then cut to fit the end of the stamp pad. I also made them for my spectrum pads and staz-on pads. You can see them and purchase them here:
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtlwsao318QQhtZ-1

These labels have really worked out great for my stamp pads!!

I'm bumping this to the top- we just discovered this dot system that SU uses last night at our "stamp club" and thought we would see if anyone else noticed. Someone might be able to use this info!

I know this is a couple years after this post started, but Stampin' Up! is now selling the labels for you to use on the ends of the stamp pads, paper boxes etc to label anything. I don't know what they look like, if they're plain or if they've got the color on them, but thought you'd like to know they now exist.

They're on Page 193, lower right-hand corner. $3.95 for 66 labels I believe. I'm sure that's expensive for labels, but not sure if they're a perfect fit or anything, I'd almost like to order them since I'm curious!
