Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Sometimes I post our IC and I wonder if the site will inspire all kinds of tastes and interests...I can be pretty 'theme driven' - LOL! However, this week I'm 100% sure there is something there for everyone! The beautiful site I have selected is greatBigcanvas.com. You can search the best sellers for the most commonly loved designs, and you can even search by 'color'! (I really appreciate great search options-smiles.) Like last week, since there is a huge collection of art I've uploaded 10, rather than 5, favorite images for anyone that might be overwhelmed by inspiration! I can't wait to play along with you tomorrow, and I have the afternoon blocked out for crafting, so please join us!
Challenge Goals: Don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it. Rather, take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by images from the great BIG canvas site. You just click on the image so it's details show on the screen, then copy and paste the URL of that page to your card/project description.
Use the keyword: IC483 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded ten of my favorites..… so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Talk about inspiration! I got lost in just the florals. Sadly it's a crazy busy weekend, but I have a few bookmarked for future reference, along with the National Geographic section which had such amazing photography. Thanks, Audrie. MIX110 Florals for Mother
What an awesome site, Audrie! I had to laugh when I saw the bears sitting on the log, viewing Turnagain Arm! I've driven by that area too many times to count, in the 53 years I've lived in Alaska! Here's mine.
Audrie- awesome site! I was inspired by the Shamrock Chinese Restaurant and used SU's Great Friend for my sentiment. Added an inked and embossed background, using Cuttlebug's Simply Charmed embossing folder- with shamrocks. Added some gold muted paper, burgundy red tag, and a batik fabric strip. Finished with a double ribbon tie. Here's Great Friend. TFL!

It's rare that I can participate with the inspiration challenges. However, this weekend is the vsn, and the tulip painting goes really well with Stacy's bulb challenge. Here's my card:
