Awesome challenge, Stef--love FLW stainled glass. I used a picture of one of his windows to make a template on the computer then printed on transparency. Fun exercise!
I am just flipping over to today's IC as I've been working on some cards for the mini-VSN. This challenge takes me back to Pittsburgh when my brother came to visit me and we went to see Falling Water, a FLW designed home. It really doesn't have any of these spectacular windows but the stream flowed underneath and through the home. So neat. I will see what kind of card comes through my fingers today. Thanks for the challenge.
Well, I finally finished my FLW inspired card. Here's my Trees in Sunset. I'll be back to view & comment on what I know will be an awesome gallery. TFL
Hope you like it....it was fun to make although I didn't know earlier what I was going to do or if I was going to find anything I wanted to do. I'm not a fan of his work so I had to look at a lot of things before I found something that appealed to me. tfl
I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL which has the largest collection of FLW buildings in the world. He came to the campus and supervised the students constructing the buildings! (of course that was WAY before I was there LOL) Lots of memories of my 4 years there. My card was inspired by the inside of Annie Pfeiffer Chapel. I hope you can see how beautiful the chapel is with the sun shining in through the art glass.
My card: Inspired by Annie by casep at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks SmilynStef for the inspirations and the trip down Memory Lane.
Was anyone else humming So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright by Simon and Garfunkel as they made their card?
