You will be assigned a table in the morning and one in the afternoon. Bring all your supplies for your project to be completed (ink, paper, stamps, embellishments, etc.) Mandatory for all attendees.*Your project should not take longer than 10 minutes to completely assemble-stamp, cut, completely finish*

Card fronts NVR (no vendor restrictions)
Fancy Folds
Special Occasion
Spring/Summer
Masculine
Swap Etiquette -- Since we will all be swapping at least one item- NVR card fronts , SU only demo quality card fronts , Fancy Folds, Masculine, Spring Summer and Special Occasion , I found some good general guidelines on SCS. I hope everyone will take these guidelines seriously so that we all make and receive wonderful swaps!
These are also good guidelines to keep in mind for your shoebox project, except that you're providing materials to make a full card rather than just a front and you won't need a "recipe".
1) Quality work -- This isn't about the quantity of layers or embellishments (please do use at least one embellishment and two layers), or whether you are new at this or not. "Quality" means straight cuts with no crooked, fuzzy edges, tears, wrinkles, etc. (unless that is part of the design), attaching your layers straight (again, unless part of your design), stamping images clearly with fully inked stamps, etc. If you make a noticeable mistake while stamping your swaps, turn the cardstock over, or cover with another layer. Last of all, quality means to use cardstock that is a nice weight not some flimsy stuff that has the feel of construction paper.
2) The only swap requiring all current or retired Stampin' Up! products is the SU swap. All other swaps can use any quality stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. This is not the time to unload your cheap cardstock!
3) Would you like to receive your swap or make your shoebox project? Then it's PERFECT!
Please ask any questions you might have and someone will be sure to answer. We have all made a lot of great friends getting together at these gatherings so we hope youll join us at this one!
Resummarizing: Layers - at least two! Dig into those embellishments, give your fellow swappers a real treat! Put those punches to work! Have fun, try something different! Show some pride and put your name on the back!!

Reason: date change
You will do shoeboxes in both the morning and the afternoon.
Design a project like a card or simple non-card item. This should be a project that can be completed in 10-15 minutes start to finish, including stamping, cutting and finishing touches. Bring your project and all the supplies needed (pre-cut cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments etc.) for making it in some short of box (hence the term shoebox.) The shoebox project will be done in small groups with your tablemates.
We will have tables with 10 people per group. Dont panic you are only designing one project and will have enough supplies on hand for 20 people to do your project (some extra pieces never hurt). You will be assigned one table in the morning and one in the afternoon so by the end of the day you will have a pile of great projects to take home.
If you are coming with a group of friends and would like to be at different tables so you end up with even more ideas please let us know.
You will also need to bring 4 completed examples.
1. 1 as sample at your table
2. 1 for display board for all to enjoy (they will later be used as thank yous for our hostesses)
3. 1 to be divided up for some great door prizes
4. 1 to be donated to charity
Please use quality cardstocklighter weight papers are ok for layering

Well Ms. Lizz you are the FIRST to officially sign up!!!!! I am really hoping it will be a great event-no, I know it will. There are soooo many talented people in the area I can hardly wait to see all the wonderful ideas!!!
Recycle Invention night is over, all the posters done for Recycling week at school-now some time for my things!!! Yeah!!! Even was able to stop by Hobby Lobby today inbetween doctor appts. So much fun to pick up more supplies. Now to get to work when the boys go to bed.
I actually had some time to get some of my swaps done today without interruption. It is nice to have the kids in school and the hubby working giving me some time for ME
What a wonderful fall day here in WNY 74 degrees outside, sunshining, our little bit of heaven along the water. Hope everyone else is enjoying their day!!
Another beautiful day in WNY!! The leaves are changing colors and falling. Just love the crunch of the leaves under your feet when you walk. Kind of sad though that nobody has signed up to join us in Hamburg in March. Lots of lookers buy no takers-is there a problem with the date, location, etc?? Please let me know. Thanks
I know I'm usually on top of the dates but it might be helpful to have a list of all known dates of upcoming gatherings (and other stamping events). I'm thinking especially of Kris' event in Feb. 2011 so if the date can be changed it won't be in conflict again.
Gayla, since you "write them in ink" can you share all of them someplace (please and thank you).

I sent the church an email this morning asking about the possibility of changing the date to March 26th. I didn't see anything else posted for that date. Will check with them tomarrow for confimation and post any changes that are necessary.
It would be great to have a master posting of dates if it could be formulated somehow. Have a great night all
Please note date change. Due to a conflict with another gathering in the NY area, we have been able to change the date of the Stampin' Along the Lake Gathering to the 26th of March. Hope you will be able to attend. Have a great evening and LET'S GET STAMPIN'
Yeah!!!!All the Halloween parties are over!!!!! Church party was a big hit with all the kids regardless of age-a wonderful good old fashioned kind of fun, bobbing for apples, musical chairs , donuts on strings, pin the heart on Frankenstein and of course some crafts. Great time, great fun!!
