Robyn,
What perfect timing! I was just coming to ask what you think about folk bringing 'garage/swap' type items. (I cannot believe how many duplicate spools of ribbon I have!)
Count me in and please put me down for sloppy joe/BBQ beef type sandwiches and a fruit salad/tray.
This will be fun!

Robyn, I fully expect the answer to this to be "no" but I'm going to ask anyway-- does the community center have wi-fi? (Have to get back to work to sort out my calendar, I think I will want to come but have to check, but I thought if it does and I can come, I'd bring my laptop so we can check in to SCS and do their challenges!)

Due to so many scheduling conflicts for Shoebox, the date is moving to February 12, 2011. Hopefully this will give many of the gals who couldn't attend in October an opportunity to come. I will be accepting registrations immediately.
If I have already received registration from you, I can either transfer your registration to the February date, mail your registration back, or if you choose, donate to NODCC if you cannot come.
I have left phone messages for everyone that has registered thus far. I apologize for the date change. But, hopefully I'll see you in February!
Carrie Ann
P.S. On the plus side, this gives us more time to collect donations.....raffle should be awesome!
Emily: The building does not have wi-fi. I have wireless for my computer and this week I want to see if I can connect to it from there. If so, I'll have my computer and printer set up. I'll let you know.
Hope more can make it. I'll hold this whether anyone comes or not.

I'm sorry, you guys, I won't be able to make it. :( That October weekend is going to be my only chance to get any cleaning done before my sister comes to visit the following week. (And considering I still have moving boxes in my living room from two years ago, you see why that will take a weekend.) I hope some more people can join you for a GREAT time.

Well ... french toast!
Not sure if 'have fun' is the right sentiment for your weekend, but it sounds like it'll be a 'good busy/good tired' sort of thing. Cheers to the week after, though!

Good Morning--just a quick question for those that check this thread--has anyone heard or seen melv lately? She signed up for a swap I am hosting that is due today and has not responded to the two PM's I have sent in the past few weeks. She has not been on SCS since 8-22, so I am a bit worried. Anyone have any idea if she is OK?
I got a PM from Mel this afternoon and she has been ill. Keep her in your thoughts.
Lordy! Thanks for the note.

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for being gone so long. Without going into too much detail my daughter and I both had a nasty virus. Once that was treated I had a new record high temp ~ 105.6 thought the thermometer was broke, didn't even know they went that high, it's digital! Any way I have a rare form of Endometriosis, (it grew when I was pregnant) and it is also on my left kidney. We have known about this for years but now it has decided to be a pain. Thank you everyone for all of the prayers and well wishes. We are still working on the building STAMPER'S PARADISE when I can (hubby is in there more often now). The heat is in and thermostat is working good. Now he is going to make more bookshelves and another cabinet. Hope to see many of you soon!
Mel
Happy SAT. Back from being MIA this past week. With the winds I turned off my computer and used my phone for emails. As a result, I was not responding much. We did lose power for 2 hours one day. BAck to stalking and stamping.

Thought I would put a quick post in this thread for our get-together in Madison on January 29th. Here is the link, if you want to check out what is happening that day and maybe come and join us.
hey I have a remember when question for those CURDS that did the Expo show in Madison. A group of us went to a scrapbook store afterwards and they were demoing large size backgrounds stamps. Anyone remember whose produce that was?
I didn't watch the demo, but they used the Mega Mount by Impression Obsession and Cover-a Card 5.75" x 5.75" background stamps. I have this and love it. Before this I had problems with big background stamps - not getting the center to appear or it was very faint. With this every part of the stamp shows up on the paper.

thanks yu guys for doing this, I use it often. Do you think you could throw on the stores/shops where people are shopping for stamping stuff. With the closing and all it be a nice go to for some who wouldlike to shop outside their immediate areas. Just a thought
For those Folks in Northeast WI there is a new little stamping place in Menasha. It's not a stamping store, although they do sell completed cards and a few other odds and ends. It is not devoted to one stamp company. Mostly it is a place to go and stamp. They have Make and Take Mondays - cards are $1.25 including envelope. They have other stamping events and Craft nights for everyone. Check out Stamp, Scrap and Yap!

Thanks for the info The CRACKER BOX PALACE IN JANESVILLE IS A
UNIQUE STORE, HAS LOT'S OF DIFFERENT STAMPS CHECK THEM OUT ON-LINE Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps
They have limited hours for those of us that work during the day, but worth taking an afternoon off for.
I agree with Sheri, Crackerbox Palace is awesome! I also love Whippersnappers near Brookfield Square (thank you barbaralynn for the heads up on that place). I've never been to PolkaDots and would love to check that place out.
I think Stamp, Scrap & Yap is onto something! lol!

If anyone is coming toward Milwaukee, Creative Pals is the name of the store and it is the home of Whipper Snapper stamps. They also have a few other lines and lots of paper, Copics, ribbon and other stamp supplies, etc. It is the shopping center with Kopp's and Brennans called Galleria West--a few miles west of Brookfield Square on Bluemound Road.
LOL! Yes! Creative Pals. Duh! (thwacks forehead) Would be good to have the correct name if you want to get there ... lol.
