I haven't done any of the Archiver's events, although I've shopped there plenty of times when things are going on (looks like marathon scrap sessions usually). What's sad is I haven't even done the free make and take events they have there, and I'm really only 10 minutes away!
Dang! Free make-n-takes?!

Hey barbaralyn-
It is nice to hear about the stamping places in Milwaukee. My daughter lives in West Allis and I go fairly often to visit her there. The only scrapbook store I have been to around there is the Scrapbook Superstore. I will have to venture out to some of these other one's the next time I am there. Elaine
Appleton Scrapbook and Stamping Memories Closing - Big Sale
If anyone will be in the Appleton area over the next few weeks, you may want to check out the sale at Scrapbook and Stamping Memories. They have apprently lost their lease. Got an email today. Everything is at least 20% off. Some 50% off or more. Of course, discounts will get bigger as time goes on.
Sorry to see them go, but I must admit I didn't spend much money there. They have a huge collection of wood mounted stamps which is what I loved.
I don't think so. I think one of the paper companies has warehouse sales but I don't know which one or when. If I find out I'll post it here.
CTI Paper in Neenah had a sale in Oct. It was on the weekend after our Appleton get-together. The Paper Cut in Appleton has a warehouse paper sale in the summer. I'm on their mailing lists so will post when I get any dates.

Thank you! CTI was the one I was trying to think of. What kind of stuff are they selling at the warehouse sale?
CTI had envelopes, printed vellum, colored cardstock in 12x12 & 8 1/2 x 11, some fancy papers, end cuts of cardstocks, printed vellums, duo colored cardstock (ex. lt. brown on one side, dk. brown on the other. Larger sheets of specialty paper. Reasonable prices and nice people---no shopping carts---bring large shopping bags.
Thank you
B&D cardstock was a small company from around Appleton I think. I saw there booth at the Greenheck Stamp Expo last summer and I bought several unmounted stamps.
I really like them.
I cannot find a website either for them.
Does anyone know a local place to get pointed flap envelopes (I'm in West Allis)? I'm doing my 2nd annual Year of Cards in April (only 2 spots left I'm so happy) and have had trouble finding reasonably priced pointed flap envies. I need 280 (40 people * 7) of them and don't want to break my budget.
I'm making the thing where you seal the flap of one envie to another envie and then put your cards in it (if that makes sense). I need to use A6 envies so the A2 cards with envies fit inside.
If I can avoid a shipping charge that would be great.
TIA for your help and I hope you're all staying warm! When I opened the door to wait for DD's bus this morning the glass storm door frosted over in less than a minute! Whew!

I was just at Walmart in WI Rapids and they have a larger size envelope than the standard A2 we normally use. I should have wrote down the size for you. I would check and see if your Walmart there has them. Elaine

Actually B&D cardstock is a wholesale company from stevens point. that is why they are only at expo's they dont' sell thier stuff other than wholesale to companies, unless they go the expo's and sell the stuff. the best thing to do is the next expo they are at talk to them about being able to order outside of the expo and see what they say.

I'm just so happy to see all the stampers from the great state of WISCONSIN. I was born in Madison and have always lived within 20 miles. Except right now, I am in Florida until April. (that must mean I am very old, I guess) I love attending classes about stamping or scrapbooking.

Thats right near my FAVORITE RAPIDS store LIGHTHOUSE BOOKS & GIFTS!
I LOVE the stamps they carry!

Thank you. Since Cedar Creek is not doing the February show I am praying they will be at the big one at Greenheck. They were not at this show last year.
If anyone is in SE Wisconsin the next three days--Polka Dots in Mukwonago is having their rummage sale this weekend--Friday through Sunday. I went last time and they had their entire crop room full of items people were selling--stamps, paper, supplies, storage, ink, etc. Here is a link to their website:
An update--I emailed them to see when the last day would be at the store. The reply I got from Scott is that they are not sure they are closing the store. They did lose the lease at this location, but are looking for another place to open another one. This location will be open through the end of February, so stop in to see them and save some money AND encourage them to find another place to open.

I was in Wisconsin Rapids this summer for a nursing thing! I did not know about this store! Ah!
A friend of mine didn't know either and they have a cabin in Rapids. I told her about it and now she always goes there.
With the name of the store most people would never know. The are originally a christian book and gift store. But since then they also got into the stamping business so both are housed in this store.
They have OODLES of stamps and supplies. Their prices are also very reasonable.
They always come to the Greenheck and I love spending money with them.
Its usually the third Saturday in June. I am going to the Stamp Shoppe on Saturday so i will ask the owner as she is a sponsor of this show.
I will post it. Also the first so many tickets bought ahead of time also get s you a great goodie bag!!! I picked up some tickets last year for a few gals from Madison that wanted to come. I bought them ahead of time and mailed them to them for this show.
I "might" need you to get me one this year! ;););)

I did talk to the owner of the stamp shop today. She said the weekend chosen is the 3rd Saturday of June. They will finalize everything and get info out and info on the sale of the advance tickets. They are doing the same thing this year - We buy the tickets in advance and they are a bit cheaper and the first few hundred will receive a great goodie bag again at the registration tables.
Hey, Here's an idea ~ we can have a get together to pick up the advance tickets and then all get together for lunch or something when the event time comes! Just a thought food is always better when you are surrounded by friends. Plus not that we need a reason to get together it's just great to have a plan to meet up with each other.
Seriously, Tina I would love an advance ticket for this.
