Hi I still have the info on it but thanks for offering. I replied to that e-mail address she had on there but it would not go through. Couldn't find the post here either. Sounded like a fun time and was going to sign up a couple of us, I'm disappointed! ViVi's mommy r u out there somewhere???
You could PM her on SCS. I think her post may have been removed because she was trying to post regarding a business related function rather than a random SCS get together.
OK so it's all straightened out with the mods so I'm reposting my info here for my Stampin get together!
Stamp a Year of Cards with Fellow Splitcoaststampers
Saturday, June 6th, 2009
WHEN: Saturday June 6th, 2009 10am-4pm (Deadline to sign up May 1st 2009)
WHERE: Parkway Recreation Center
2930 S. Root River Parkway West Allis, WI 53227
WHAT: A "Year of Cards". Make cards for Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sympathy/Get Well, Thank you, Anniversary, Birthday, and a Baby card. The cards will come with envelopes and we will also make a mini-magazine file card holder. All supplies are provided and are Stampin Up only! These will be quality cards and will definitely be a step above simple cards. All skill levels will find these projects enjoyable! Never stamped before… don’t worry I’ll teach you everything you need to know to create fabulous projects with paper.
HOW MUCH: $25 you'll get a lunch and yummy treats to give you stampin power. This fee is for the location and lunch only. A charity raffle will also take place but participation is optional. All funds from the raffle go directly to the Colleen Giblin Foundation for the GLUT1 Family Support Conference.
WHY: All the fun of a shoebox without all the prep! Come and have fun and meet some other fun & crafty ladies. This will be a great opportunity to meet other SCS gals! Everyone will get a little gift bag just for coming!
If you'd like to do swaps let me know what interests you and I'll get a sign up going. I LOVE swaps too! We’ll be doing a double layout 6”x6” scrapbook page swap but if there are other swaps you’d like let me know!
There will be TONS of door prizes with the grand prize of a BIG SHOT STARTER KIT. You don't have to order the starter kit you'll literally take it home with you that day! You'll also get the chance to purchase additional entries for the starter kit but ONLY those at the event are eligible to win so your odds at winning will be GREAT!
The Paper Cut is having a warehouse sale again on July 11, 2009. You can get single sheets of card stock and vellum as well as packs of precut multi-color small and large squares. There may be some make and takes. Plus all their premade card sets etc. Discounts increase depending on how much you buy. Here's their website. You can get on their mailing list if you like.
We could have the Appleton thing on July 11th but I suppose lots of people are vacationing and many have replied positively about October.
Is anyone going to the rubber stamp and scrapbook expo in Waukesha on may 2nd & 3rd?
Also does anyone know what they mean by Wholesale Hours?
Can anyone buy at wholesale prices?
Thanks!
For those of you intersted in the Crafternoon in Milwaukee on June 6th just follow the link in my siggy. I just got the donation box from Stampin Up and it was AWESOME!!! I can't wait to finish the raffle baskets PLUS I have 15 stamp sets that will be door prizes!
Wholesale Hours are when businesses can stop in. I believe that you have to be a business owner to buy at Wholesale prices. (Large quantities of the same items.)

Ladies,
Several of us WI-ites have joined the Curds and try to get together once a month somewhere in the state.
Well, it's a loosely organized fun group of gals from all over the state (and truely all are welcome, even if they're not officially WI gals -- sort of like we can all be Irish on St. Pats, LOL!) and in time Ms. Robyn may indeed get us organized into a once-a-month group (she's an amazing organizer, can you tell? LOL!), but at least for right now it's a "who wants to have a gathering closer to your neck of the woods?" and "who knows about some stamp event in your area and maybe we can meet up?" and it's a "come if you can" kind of no-pressure sort of organization. If that sounds interesting and you'd enjoy matching some faces with SCSers, then drop in sometime to the CURDS thread and see what you think of our currently-motley crew. LOL!
(Mel, do you have some extra wooden cows?! LOL!)

I will be in West Allis too. Has anyone seen a list of attendees as I want to check that I am on the list. I posted on that thread, but it has not been answered. What do we need to bring along?
Glad to see some people from my home town coming down--I graduated from AF in 1971. Bring along some sandburs if they are out yet;););)
I don.t there is a list. At least I haven't seen one. So far as I know we don't have to bring anything. She furnishes everything. I might throw a couple things in my bag though such as scissors, etc. See you there.
(This post is for those of you attending who aren't subscribed to the event thread)
Hello ladies!
Sorry for the slow responses things are crazy crazy at my house!
Just a few details for Saturday:
Doors will open at 1000am so you early birds will have to wait I want to make sure everything is set up and beautiful before everyone comes in the room.
Raffle tickets will be available until the end of lunch break at noon.
Extra Big Shot raffle tickets will be $5 each. This raffle is separate from the charity raffle selections therefore it has a different price. Everyone gets one ticket for the Big Shot raffle as a part of attending.
The other raffle tickets are $2 each, 3 for $5 or $20 for a 6' long strip of tickets.
My goal is to do the raffles as soon as everyone is finished with their card making.
IF you have to leave early you can still win. Please let me know that you have to go and I'll bring your winnings home with me and we can coordinate a pick up time. If a friend of yours can stay until the end they can claim your prize but I must speak to each of you before. I'd hate to have a "Dishonest Dora" never give someone's prize to them.
What to bring:
I am supplying everything but only have a few adhesive holders. If a few nice gals would bring theirs to use (please put your name on it and I'll have a label maker available) that would be great! I have the refill for the Tombow holder but only have 4 holders.
I really appreciate your help I just couldn't justify spending over $6 each just for the holders for one event!
Paper snips or ribbon scissors are good to have so that you won't have to wait a turn if you don't want to wait.
90% of the pieces are pre-cut (and boy did I underestimate the time that would take ;) ) and the only thing you'll need to cut out are a few things that are paper pieced (like a flower and a cupcake).
Well back to cutting the last few pieces. I really hope you all like the cards I've designed (a couple were CASED from SCS but I have to look for the original card to make sure I give credit).
I will have a card recipe list available after the event (once I have more minutes to type it all out!) in case you want to recreate anything.
So if you have any questions please feel free to email directly ([email protected]), call me 414-541-8384 or post here.
Don't forget to bring $$ for the raffles! I'd love to win everything myself and I hope you will too!
Anyone going to the Northwoods Stamping and Scrapbook Event at the Greenheck Fieldhouse in Schofield, WI today? I am. Can't wait.
Awesome! I'm jealous! If you see any SCSers, tell "hi!"

I do not work for The Paper Cut
Thought I'd bump this up in case anyone is interested. There's more information on the sale now.
The Paper Cut is in Appleton. 234 W. Northland Ave. The sale is July 11th from 8am to 3pm. They are having a presale evening on July 10th where for $50.00 you can make 20 cards, have snacks and get first dibs on the sale. 25% off their packaged products and also some used stamps etc. You can also buy singles of their cardstock if I recall correctly.
I think I will probably go on Saturday either very early or very late. I hate crowds. ;)
I am in Wausau WI!
In November the Stamp expo will be at John Muir Middle school. I love going to this one as there are some awesome vendors there.
I will psot the link tonight when I get home.
