I'm so happy to see you girls starting to plan your carpooling. I would do the same thing, way to be green !! I can't wait to meet everyone either. I'm happy we got up to 20, that is such a perfect number.
I will have a count by tonite. If the one person I am waiting for does not get her regis and count by me today, I will still let you all know. Talk to you soon.
Hi all I am happy to report that the registration for the 1st Hartford Shoebox Swap is now closed. The numbers we have are as follows:
Shoebox: 24 - this means please cut for 23 cards, premake 10 cards of the same design before you come and then you will be making 14 cards the day of the shoebox. This number does include your card so the 24th card can be yours and used for the sample display.
Anything But a Card: 17 - this means you will be making 17 of anything (including yours) and will then be getting 17 of anything in return.
Notebook Challenge: 11 - this means you will be making 11 standard size composition notebooks (including yours) and then get 11 in return.
Lottery item: 18 - this means you will be making or putting something together that is altered or made specially by you. Again, this item(s) should total $10. Then you will get someone elses altered item(s) in return.
6x6: 6 - this means you will be making 6 pages (including yours) and receiving 6 in return.
12x12: 7 - (same as 6x6)
If anyone has any questions about any of these things please don't hesitate to contact one of us. We will help you through. I hope that all my descriptions have not confused anyone and are clear enough. I am also emailing or pming you the new spreadsheet in hope that I have everything is marked correctly. If you notice something that is not correct please contact me asap so I can get it fixed. Or if there is something that you changed your mind in, please let me know by Friday. This will be important for everything except the lottery. I hope that everyone has a fun creating their masterpieces and we look forward to seeing all of you creative ideas. Talk to you soon and have a great time.
Tamara

Heads up I think I sent the wrong amount for the ABAC it should be 17 and I think my email attachment says 14. Sorry. Worked too hard too late. Sometimes working 16 hours in 1 days is too much lol.
Rec'd two regis. today. They are from Sue and Angie. Thanks ladies. Any other regis. I am missing I will let you know as soon as I get them.
RobynO - You are so welcome. I have had fun putting this together and seeing that we now have a nice group of ladies attending. Can't wait to see you all. Now I just have to get busy.
Robyn,
Me 2! I actually sat down and got one of my sample cards done and almost all of my ABAC done. Now just waiting for the in color papers to come in that I ordered and then I will get to finishing my card. It's coming fast and working 2 jobs makes it a little more challenging to get done so now every chance I have to work on anything I do. So hope everyone is having fun planning their cards. See you all soon!
I have been trying to gather my notebooks so I can start my challenge. I was looking at some flyers and have noticed that with school supplies on sale, there is a sale on composition notebooks. This is the notebook I am using and have found them for as cheap as 50 cents, which is half off of most places. This sale price is at Target and Kmart. So if any of you need notebooks yet and have these stores near you check it out. Hope you are all doing well with your items and hopefully not too busy. Talk to you soon.
Yes Donna, take a look at post #123 on this page and all of the numbers are there and explaining what is precut and what is premade. If you have any ?s please let me know.
I know Mel, I have so much to do and so little time. Got my notebooks stated but not done, ABAC started but not done, and 1 card idea and lottery not even started. Oh boy !!! I better get to work. But as I said before I will NOT pull an all nighter again. I have some vacation this week so I will be getting busy after I am done with work today. It has come fast but I know it will be fun. I hope the rest of you are doing ok (or at least better than I am). I know Diane is, she is cooking away at some of the things needed behind the scenes and doing better than I would. WTG Di!! If any of you need anything please let me know.
got my 10 premade shoebox items almost done and materials for the rest are being gathered. still trying to think of something for the lottery, what are others doing?
question: do we need to supply tape/adhesive for our project or do we bring our own to use on each project? i have atg gun. thanks!

Uggh! I missed post whatever that told us how many things to make. I thought I was doing really well, but now I need to premake 10 cards, make 3 more ABC swaps and finish my lottery item this week. It's a good thing I checked in today!!!!
If you really wanted to do it let us know. But we would need to know by today. We do have possible availability, but it doesnt give you much time its Saturday already. LOL Let us know.
OMG girls!!!! I can't believe it's only a couple days away. I have been busy with other things this week but did find some time to get some things going. I have notebooks done. woohoo!! And worked on my cards today and have everything precut and ready to put together. ABAC just needs a little touch yet and that will be done. I still have my "WOW" or lottery to do yet but that I hope isn't a big deal to do. So I am getting there plus doing some of the final preparation for Sat. I hope all of you are doing good, which it sounds like. Keep up the good work.
rmnett: I hope you have decided to join us. There is a way to work you in.
uberadam: You should bring your own adhesive for doing each project. This way there is enough to do all the cards. I will plan to have a few extra glue runners or something there in case someone runs out.
I will see you all soon and if anyone has any last minute questions please let me know. Hopefully tomorrow I will be sending everyone a private email with some private information so please keep your eyes open in the evening hours or check your email on Wed. morn, Thanks.
I worked for a few hours last night and am almost ready to go!! I will have my daughter package things up today!
Also for the garage sale is a price and my initials enough to have on my things?
I can not wait until Saturday! I need some me time if you know what I mean!
Donna
Yes, your initials and price should be enough. Buyers just need something to go by for when they make a purchase. So they can find you by your initials, you are the only one with those initials. If they are wanting to buy something they will find you.
I can't wait either! Just hope everything comes together. I have doing some thinking about things now that this last weekend is behind me and I am starting to confuse myself. Well it is what it is and I know we will have alot of fun. I know what you mean by needing some "me" time. I will totally agree with you.
I have a question - Are we suppose to wrap our lottery gift??
I just finished all my cards, my ABC is done and my lottery gift is done (and turned out *so* cool... both my daughters want it!). Now I just have to make sure I have all the parts packed for my shoebox swap. When I was a demo, I would invariably leave something very important home!!
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to look for some rummage sale stuff... This will be fun!
BTW, I've never been to a shoebox swap before, how do you know if you get a premade card or if you get to make it??
Its up to you if you wanna wrap it. If you dont it goes out for showing. So its up to you if you want it to be a suprise. The list of make and takes will be handed out when you arrive. If you have any more questions dont be afraid to ask.
See you all soon and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
One other thing to keep in mind is there will be a door prize for each first place winner in each optional swap including lottery. The voting will take place before the lottery items are givin away, so if you would like your item to be voted on I would recommend that it is not wrapped but you can wrap it if you would like.
I have left things at home before so I will tell you it has happened before lol. I am happy for you that you have everything done. I am still working on my things. Running out of time tho lol. Talk to you soon
I can not wait for Saturday. I have the cards done and an idea for the ABAC-I have a sample made. I also have my lottery done and ready to go-I think I will "wrap" mine in clear plastic.
That's good to know about the prizes... although with all the talent here, I'm not thinking that's going to happen! However it's always worth a shot, so I think I'll leave mine unwrapped. Oh - oh wait! I have an idea....!! (Never a good thing... usually means more time spent.... )
Tricia, don't be surprised if you would make top pick, I'm sure you have lots of talent too. The last shoebox I was to was hosted by Melv and the first notebook I ever made took 1st place. Don't sell yourself short. I'm sure whatever that idea was, was a good one but I know what you mean by more time spent... haha....
oh btw!!! I sent an email to everyone tonite so please make sure you check your email. This was sent to the email you submitted with your registration.
My hubby keeps "forgetting" that I have plans this weekend, but I'm not budging. This is going to be GREAT!!!!! I have my garage sale items ready, my ABAC items done, Notebook designed, stamped and cut, just need to glue a couple things. I'm so cheating on my card! Brake out the auto card machine then just stamp and glue...whew. That only leaves the lottery for me.
See everyone on Saturday!!!! YA!!
Mel
I'm sorry you can't make it either Carrie, but nice thing is I already set your date aside in Oct so I will see you then.
Mel- Good thing for hubby but they ALWAYS seem to forget when WE have plans. Isn't that something how that works. I am starting to get behind since I was busy with my other job and planning and trying to get cards done. I hope to bust butt tonite so all is done with only little things to be done Fri. NO ALL NIGHTERS!!! lol
This is going to be fun!!!
I also forgot to tell everyone in the private email I sent the other night that even tho set up starts at 10 am, we will be there between 8 and 8:30 am so if anyone comes early, no problem.
Again, if anyone needs anything please let us know and you should all have cell phone numbers for Tiff and I in the email I sent.
Thanks a bunch!!!!
SEE YOU ALL IN 2 DAYS!!!!!
TAMARA
Hey everyone! I am really looking forward to Saturday! Sorry in advance that I will probably be a bit slow making my cards. I had eye surgery on July 29th, and I am still recovering. Can't miss a swap though!
