I'm doing the same - I designed my card a couple of weeks ago but had to go to Las Vegas for work for a few days and haven't gotten back to working on them since. I had a terrible drive home from a holiday party last night, I don't know how much snow is here in inches but the wind and blowing looks and sounds awful! I can see Hwy 60 from my house and cars seem to be traveling fine - - I don't see any need for me to go anywhere today, though! It's time to finish up those Christmas cards!
Good Morning from a snowy and very windy SE Wisconsin--we got some snow, but not as much as other parts of the midwest. They still say we are under a blizzard warning--more for the wind, than the amount of snow. A perfect day to stay inside, swap out the Winter Whipper Snapper/Penny Black cards swap, make Christmas 38 treat bags for the Ronald McDonald House, watch the Packer game and address Christmas cards.
I woke up this morning to find the holiday tree I'd put out on my baby balcony (3rd floor) had been knocked over and is now frozen to the floor.:-(
Wickedly windy here. (I don't think we got a ton of snow here, either.)
Alli, hoping next Sat is wayyyy nicer than this one. What a fantabulous Christmas gift!

Nope. It's a little out of my budget, and I couldn't get off 12/30 anyways (which is the date most of the charter flights are leaving). I'll be down at the avenue cheering them on with a few of the locals ;)
making cookies and a pot of chicken soup. Finished my Christmas cards yesterday. Talked with family/friends in MN and some are happy to have 4 wheel drive, some will be digging out til Monday, and I'm happy to deal with some nasty blowing winds here in MIL.

We got 9 1/2" of the white stuff! SUV is stuck halfway up this bluff-side driveway!!! The truck got up and down okay. Did venture out to new house today and to Wal-Mart to get more glue runners and a red ultra fine tip Sharpee to address my cards.
Roads really quite good. VERY windy and frefrefreeeeeezing! Saw one lady go into Wal-Mart with just a sweater on and no gloves or boots....I had ugg like boots, down coat, wool sweater and gloves and I was just fine.

Job Update: A head hunting company contacted me about a position (they found my resume on careerbuilders.com. I have been talking with them about it and it is sounding promising. There are several things that I have to consider. I'm not going to say anything more until I finish with all the interviews and then I'll update everyone.
Prayer that I make the right decision.

Had a relaxing Christmas. DS and DIL visited Sun and we had a good visit.
Negotiations on job still going on. One of the people we are trying to deal with apparently tool this week off. They wanted to have the opening filled by the end of the year. Hard to do if the main decision maker OS unavailable. Will just have to be patient.

Robyn - Good luck with everything, I know first hand that sometimes employers make it difficult for the candidates to get in but hang in there - it's usually worth the effort! I know things are opening up more than a few months ago so if this one doesn't work out, keep pushing forward, your opportunity is out there and you'll know it when you find it!
I wish a Happy & Safe New Year to everyone - I'm going to a Thai party early in the evening and will be back home for some quiet yoga & meditation alone long before midnight!
The hiring manager took vacation this week so I am waiting for next week. There will be a conference call between the manager, the recruiter, and myself. I will either be offered the job during the call or not. After much praying, thinking and checking out details, I feel it is a good opportunity and I feel really good about it, and if offered will accept. I'll let everyone know as soon as the decision is made.

Phone call this morning let me know that the Lord has other plans for me that I need to keep searching for. I did not get the position that would have taken me out of state for 8 months, so I will still be around to get together with my friends. (Reason...they want someone who has more recent experience in the position.)
