I had a fabulous weekend stamping! I'm feeling really grateful for the time. It's been two years since I've really been able to just focus on 'playing with stamps' and it was wonderful! I even took pictures and might get up the nerve to start a gallery!!!

If you need help, give a jingle (by which I mean a PM). I'll pack up the laptop and we can go somewhere with wi-fi. And food, preferably.
PS: Wicked and visit were good. I keep forgetting to go back into PMs.
I went to MN for the weekend, packed for the cold and coould have gotten by with t-shirts. Spent family time with daughters, siblings, and friends. Absolutely wonderful!

I had family for the whole weekend. They came to help me with TONS of leaves, close up my gazebo, and haul wood for the fire place. We make it a family thing and had a lot of fun and food. Haven't stamped in over a week and can't wait to get back to it. Hope to see you all in Jan. but will wait to see what the weather brings. lady_di
Yes, I think so! (I'd have to scroll back a page or two, but I'm pretty sure there's one or stampers who've posted and are in your area. ) And McFarland isn't too far from Edgerton. Hope you can come to Gina's!

With you Lady Di, I can imagine it was a lot of fun. And what a great way to bring family together. Have fun stamping

Where is everyone - it sure is quiet out here! I spent the weekend at home (for a change) and got to finish up some projects that were partly done - now I'm starting a few new ones! Time to get out the holiday stuff and start the creative juices flowing! The weather has been so nice, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone is outdoors enjoying it. My foot has pretty well recovered from the surgery I had in September so I managed to get in 3.5 miles yesterday at Pike Lake State Park - my body is telling me today that I was right - it was ALL uphill. At 50+, a person probably shouldn't hike that much after being off of the trails for 2 months! Oh well, it was a good reason for me to stay put in my stamping room all day today!
Holy Schmoly, woman! Sounds like a lot of fun, but yi yo ... you just had foot surgery, remember?! How's that foot now?

Hi Guys--I got an email back from Jessica--she has had some laptop issues.
She said as of right now, she will try to be sure to be open on Saturday, January 29th--YEAH!!!! The hours are 10:00-1:00 now and I would think they would remain the same. I am sure there will be a card kit available to make card samples--I will get more info as the date gets closer.
So, 10:00 at Gina K's Store in McFarland, on Saturday, January 29th! Get it on your calendar.
Jean--can you recommend a place to meet that morning for breakfast in the area at maybe 9:00--does Spartan Pizza serve breakfast on the weekends yet? Or someplace else? Then, if some of us want to come early, we can get a list together and get a large table. And, if some want to meet to eat after playing and shopping at the store, we can also go someplace afterwards. I know that last time there was a gathering there, people went to Culver's.

Ahhh, the foot will be fine, I'm not going to let it keep me down! I hiked a few miles on Saturday then last night I went outdoors just to move my car but it was so nice out that I stuck my head inside and told my son I was going out walking. His response was "Mom, didn't you just say that your foot AND your whole body was aching?" As I told him, I weighed the hurts in one hand and the beautiful Sunday night weather in the other and guess which won? Yup - I went walking!!! Heck, today was Monday and I spent 10 hours in a chair looking at a computer so I think I made it up to my foot. It's happy now & so am I! (Couldn't be happier unless I were stamping!)
Here is the list of those planning on coming to McFarland on Saturday, January 29th.
If you are thinking of coming, please post in the thread and I will update this post with your name. As this post gets buried, I will copy and paste later in the thread.

Hey Barb - Please put me on the list for all 3! Thanks to you & JeanieBean for organizing this!
I'm not the organizer. The kudos goes all to Barb!
Hey all, Martha (tigerlily) & I are heading out to CA tomorrow. Her DS was in a bad motorcycle accident and is in critical condition. Please think good thoughts our way as we travel and please keep Martha & her son in your thoughts as they get through this.

I would love to go to Gina K's too! I need to check my calender and see what is going on! Hopefully nothing, except a trip to Madison, that is!!!;)

Hey, my stamper friend held a swap and had everyone bring an extra and different card than the one they set up at their station. She then pulled a name and someone won that wonderful set of cards.....Is there an interest in that for Jan. 29th as a fun ending of our day out? Or a variation of that? Or another fun idea?

If you're suggesting a card swap, with making one card for everyone (and then the extra for a drawing) I must confess that I don't really want to feel the "pressure" of making cards for everyone for an entire swap. I barely find time to make one card these days, much less 10.
But a little gift swap might be fun after the holidays are all over.
Maybe something along the lines of bringing a wrapped gift, draw numbers for turns to pick a gift, then take turns opening and showing off. (We could do it white elephant style, with stealing from each other, but that can be time consuming [and sometimes just really annoying], and I'm thinking that by late afternoon in January, we may all be anxious to hit the road.)
We could do it with a small store bought item ($5-ish), or if we wanted to do handmade maybe a set of four cards all wrapped up nice and neat, or maybe a little 6x6 papercrafting kit of some kind. A kit would be a fun way to recycle some supplies, without spending much money.
I like a couple of the ideas--a box of 4 or 5 cards to swap would be my first choice. Or a couple of card kits to swap (6x6 paper, some images and some embelishments.
Whatever the group wants to do is fine from me.............................
