How many card kits do I make?
We now have 22 gals -- final count. 11 stampers per table. So... 11 card kits to go around the table. Maybe extras for mistakes
You will NOT be sitting at the same table with your project. be sure to put instructions into each kit.
TWO finished cards needed. You will need one finished sample to put in your “shoebox” and one finished sample for the Favorite Card display. Optional: make a few or several more kits to trade with other gals. Last year some of us were disappointed to not be able to make all 20 projects.
Are there any rules for my card kits?
Do your best work.
Good cardstock.
Easy techniques. Due to time constraints, think 10 to 20 minutes per card.
Do not bring heat guns. You could pre-emboss any items that need it.
Do not bring glitter. Use glitter glue or Stickles.
Envelopes are not required. You can include them if you like to match them to your card.
What do I bring?
Your own adhesives. (tape runner, glue stick, glue dots, pop-ups)
Scissors
The card kits in sandwich bags with instructions.
Optional: used stamps to sell

What Is a Shoebox Swap?
It's a lot of fun!
and here is what you would do...
...design a card or project
...stamp/cut/prepare enough matching pieces for 10 people
...put the pieces in sandwich bags (like little kits)
...put the bags in a shoebox (or basket or...)
...make two completed samples of your card
and here is what we do on the day...
... set our "shoeboxes" out on a table
... 11 people per table
... sit and pass the boxes around, assembling each kit as we go
... so, you will make 9 other cards.
also we...
...laugh a lot
...learn new ideas
...talk a lot
...laugh some more
I feel like a dummy but I've never done that before... Can someone help??
Just above the first message click on "Thread Tools." A short menu pops up. Click on "Subscribe to this Thread." Then you choose whether you want to get email every time someone posts here or daily or weekly reminders.
I forgot to mention the place. Duh!! Will go back and edit that now.
I'm subscribing. Never done anything like this - but it sounds like fun. I am in Lynden (hence my name - Lynden_jen!). I will check with my family and if I am able to go, I will be glad to help out, also!! Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday!
Martha, Martha, we've missed you over at the other thread!
Hope all is well. Take care.
Hi Rosella, how are you?
Hi Ruth, how are you? It will be good to see you again.
Not subscribing to much lately, but participating in some challenges.
Been cleaning/painting/planting and getting prepped to repaint the exterior of the house- a busy summer. Hope yours is going well!
Hi Garnet, put me down as a yes. I'll check with my cohorts, Debbie (purple7), Kristi, Julie H. and Kim and let you know about their attendance. Thanks for organizing this. I really enjoyed last year's event. Karen
Please add me to the list! I just checked the WA/OR Shoebox and I can't make that one so definitely want to check this one out! I'm in North Marysville and would be happy to carpool with anyone from this area. It would give us an excuse (like we need one) to visit Stampadoodle in Bellingham (I hear its awesome!!). Robin Reinig
