I have not had Cold Stone since the end of June with MTV. I love Cold Stone. Will anyone tell if I have it?? LOL. Our trainer still stays in touch with us and asks if we are still on target. This week I will say, some what, after Cold Stone. I am right there with all of you. I have to go look at my sets so I can tell you which ones I want to sell.

I have been working on my Yankee swap gift... hope you like it! Both of my projects are designed, just have to get cutting and stamping now! I will post a materials list when I am at home. If not tonight, then tomorrow of course!
Sorry I've been away for a while. I can not come to the swap..I wish I could. It sounds like a lot of fun and sorry Rochelle for not getting back to your pm sooner...have a great night and Happy Halloween!
-For anyone looking for salad, soup, or sandwiches, there is a Panera Bread in the strip mall across the street from Cold Stone and 5 Guys.
-Also, I would be interested in getting lists of any sets people are selling or trading.
-I saw someone say they were "making" their Yankee Swap. I am planning to purchase something. I hope that is not an issue.
-Someone mentioned their project required us to bring weatherstripping and punches? I am only planning on bringing the basic kit for any assembly plus everything anyone would need to assemble my own projects. I am assuming everyone is providing what ever anyone needs to assemble their own projects. Am I correct in my assumptions? I can't really afford to purchase a bunch of supplies.
Does the Yankee Gift swap have to be something hand-made? If so, YIKES!, I'd better get busy. I was planning on purchasing some items.
Well I hope not 'coz I bought a gift for the swap at my LSS today (since I still have to make design # 2 and have prepwork still for #1 and need to make more swaps and I really want to get a gift ... I bought one. Plus I am mostly a cardmaker so to make something would be a stretch of my talent!)

- Panera Bread sounds like a nice treat ... and it's close to Cold Stone!
- I mentioned that I used weatherstripping in my project. It is a less expensive alternative to foam tape. Using pop-up glue dots will also work. Adhesives of various types are usually considered part of a basic tool kit. I am happy to bring what I have but am not sure there is enough for 13 projects.
- I purchased my Yankee swap (believing it's okay, which I still believe but have not verified with Rochelle) so if it isn't we can separate purchased from made and have two gift swaps. So in the end it'll be fine!
Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose and Old Olive
Stamp Set(s):
Season of Joy (from the current mini catalog)
Adhesives:
Except for something to give one panel dimension, any type you like will be fine. I used weatherstripping (a very inexpensive alternative to 3M foam tape) and will bring whatever I have left but I'm not sure it will be enough for everyone.
My style tends to belong to the KISS group so this particular design does not have any embellishments (i.e. brads, ribbon, glitter, embossing, etc.) but if I have anything that complements the design I will bring it for you to use (or not ... as you choose!)
With luck I will make a similar post about project number 2 very soon (tomorrow - I hope).
Happy Crafting!
Tina
I modified Project # 1 so it now uses 1/4-inch grosgrain (celery) and Stickles (gold).
I labeled a Ziploc bag with each person's name and one for "extras" so all I have to do is find a "shoebox" to pack this project in.
The "extras" bag includes several pieces of cut-to-size weather-stripping (on waxed paper so it peels off and can be used) but I did not have enough for all 13 bags.
I'm rethinking my swap (only have 8 or so) since I cannot decide what color to use for the actual front (there is an apricot-ish color layered on chocolate and I was thinking Rose Red for the cardfront but forgot and used most of my stash for Project # 1). I will do Project # 2 first so I don't repeat my mistake!
Has anyone checked if the swaps have to be identical? Similar? Or okay to be a variety?
Hi Tina!
I've got extra pop-dots I'll bring for your project.
You also asked me to remind you to bring your coffee carafes. We'll be getting a box of joe at Dunkin' Donuts, so those will work perfectly.
Rochelle has offered to bring a crockpot of chili, and I will bring a crockpot of ministrone soup, so we could probably all stay in for lunch, and just have a field trip to Coldstone in the afternoon. I know other people are bringing yummy stuff as well.
I finished bagging up my second card last night.
For the card swap, I'm doing 6 of one card, and the rest another card, because I had started some with a stamp I had borrowed but no longer have.

Hi Kerry!
Thanks for the reminder re: carafes --- I am starting a Word document on what I "MUST NOT FORGET" for Saturday and will include them.
I have made each of us a foodie goodie bag (mostly chocolate!).
My hubby is negotiating with me 'coz I asked him to bake "something to share" --- he thinks my request enables him to extract some housekeeping from me but I am waaay more stubborn than he is so I expect to have some baked goodies also.
Chili and Minestrone soup sound yummy!
I think my swaps will be a mixed bag (some will have multiples but not 13 of any single design).
Still need to work on Project # 2 but have a design (actually two) in my head. But I need to gather trash and deal with something for my FIL.
I don't think I PMd Rochelle but I have 1 or 2 items for a door prize (I think the retailvalue of each is about $5). So, Rochelle if you read this lmk if this is okay.
Better finish reading some threads I follow, take a quick trip in the gallery and then gather trash etc.

I forgot to say thanks - I probably have some too (in my adhesives bag) but was thinking I might need them to complete other projects since we are to provide our own basic supplies. I am happy to share any extras I might end up having but I do want to be sure I can finish all the projects, kwim?
Also, it is not essential to my design --- but I do like to have some dimension on my cards so I used the foam tape (aka weatherstripping) to pop-up one panel.
I am sure it will all work out because stampers are fun and generous people.
I'm sure it will all work out fine too.... I have a bunch of cheap pop dots from the $1 store that I will bring along too.
As for the Yankee Swap, I'd love to get something bought as my gift, didn't mean to cause panic when I said I was "working" on mine!! But I do hope you all like it!
I will list my supplies tonight after I decide on the final design and have a bit more time.

This sounds lovely, I would rather stay and stamp and just eat those delicious alternatives. I think I will bring some cheese and crackers and hummus (for those who like it). Probably won't have time to make my own, so I'll buy some.
if i haven't posted/ asked....
the following things would help out on kari and my large project.
1. 2 wheel handles(reg. size)
2. the hat from set named "merry"
sounds great ladies
i'm bringing iced tea-w/ lemons and ice.
i will bring cups also.
Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is no ordinary iced tea and I missed my chance to taste it in May (distracted by stamping!)
BTW, Tony is making chocolate chip cookies (without nuts) --- he checked his recipe to the pantry and added stuff to our shopping list.
I just printed instructions for Project #1 and realized I included a color photo of the plain (no ribbon or Stickles) version. As the last one came out of the printer it was flashing about replacing a cartridge so I doubt I'll have color photos for Project # 2 (unless he has cartridges hidden someplace).
Going to brew some coffee for our THU night TV date (Survivor: China then CSI and then I will do some stamping, packing, etc.

Directions for most people:
Take I-84 to exit 11. Turn left at light. Go up hill, thru 1st stop light, past John Reed school on right, up another hill to 2nd light.Take a left onto Route 25/S Main Street.
Stay on this road, go thru light at Stop & Shop Plaza on right. As you go up hill, 2 lanes will merge to one. When you see the next stop light ahead, look for Red Baron Carpet on your left. The Botsford Firehouse is the next building after it. The entrance is to the left of the firehouse.
Park in the back gravel area. We can use the parking spots next to the door briefly, to unload crockpots, but need to move out of there asap, because that is parking for firefighters coming in for a fire.
(I'm picturing this all in my head as I type. Forgive me if I missed a light on Rt. 25, that's why I'm also giving building landmarks!)
Ok, my shoebox is all set and ready to go, except for the directions part. I'll do that tomorrow evening, or maybe at school.
Anyhoo, here's what you could bring to help the process:
Cool caribbean ink
snow flurries stamp set
penguin from Wild About You
pokey-pokey gizmo and poking pad (sorry it's REALLY late... what's that thing called?)
slot punch
Most everything else is ready... oh yeah... except for the swaps, but of course I need something to do tomorrow night!!!

Hi Everybody,
I am so excited for tomorrow, I can hardly wait. My question is can we get a final count or final instructions and supply list posted? I am so new to all of this, I would hate to get there tomorrow and realize I had forgot to bring something or had miss read a post somewhere. Sorry to be such a pain. Thanks, Anavon
I was traveling home from Danbury this morning and normally when I get off Exit 11, I turn right, however today I went left to clock the mileage.
The distance from the bottom of the exit ramp to Route 25 = 1.5 miles.
The distance from Route 25 to the firehouse = 3.1 miles.
To give you some more visuals to find the firehouse, there is an American flag hanging in front of the firehouse, and also an A-frame sign regarding election day. The firehouse is white/light gray.
if i haven't posted/ asked....

I think I have 2 wheel handles ... it's just a matter of finding them after DH made me "organize my crap" ... men argh!

See you girls soon!!!!!!
I'll look for my pokey-pokey gizmo and slot punch. I have Snow Flurries but Project # 2 (which is still in my head ... yikes!) might use it.
Does your project need all 6 images? My idea probably only needs 3 or 4 so it might still help.
Okay ... y'all can consider this me talking out loud but here is my list of what I need to bring. If you asked me to bring something and it is not listed, pls PM by 10pm as I plan to be in bed shortly after watching Numbers.
Carafes (larger for coffee; smaller for milk)
Foodie Goodie bags (mostly chocolate)
Door Prize gifts
Door Prize tickets
Stamps for B/S/T
Project 1 for 13 plus some extras
Project 2 for 13 plus some extras
Yankee Swap gift
Cards/Cardfronts for swapping
Basic Tool Kit (trimmer, scissors, various adhesives, stamp cleaner
Real Red Classic inkpad and.or spot (Gayla)
2 standard wheel handles (Gayla)
Pokey-pokey gizmo (Kari)
Slit punch (Kari)
Snow Flurries set (Kari ~ we might have to share it.)
Crystal Effects (Rochelle) --- it might be Diamond Glaze.
Off to get Project # 2 and swaps ready and pack up my stuff - but I won't load up my car until morning since it is parked outside until DH sells his motorcycle.

I think I used 3 of the snowflakes, doesn't really matter, right? I'm bringing them all so people can choose whichever they prefer.
The pokey pokey gizmo is really a paper piercer!!! I remembered! And of course the mat guide thingy would be handy too, as I have only one (and it's a makeshift one at that).
If you have any of the stamp sets or inks, bring them along so things move along....see you tomorrow... Diane

While I am bringing everything to complete the projects, it can take some time with one stamp set and ink pad for each color.
Project One:
This is a Fall project that can use any fall stamp set you like. I am bringing FALL WHIMSY (as it is the only Fall set I have). If you have FALL WHIMSY or another favorite Fall stamp set, please bring them along.
I am bringing the following color ink pads for this project. If you have the colors, and think it would be a good idea to move the project along, please bring them or other favorite fall colors:
Pumpkin Pie
Always Artichoke
So Saffron
Old Olive
Basic Black
I am also bringing the same color markers.
Project 2
This is a holiday project and it will use the PAPER TREY INK stamp set called Holiday Treats. If you have that (and blocks) I think it would be very helpful to bring so that more than one person can stamp at a time. If no one else has it, no problem, it may just take a little while to get around the table. I will pre-stamp some items to have on hand just in case it takes too long.
The ink pad colors for this project are:
Sage Shadow
Bashful Blue
Encore Silver
If you can bring those along, great! I will, of course, have one of each.
Edited to add: I also use ticket corner punch in this project. If you have that please bring it. Mine is acting up and I have to poke it around to make it work. I don't know how long it will work before it completely breaks. I love the punch but I am not satisfied with the quality of these small SU punches,. I always seem to have problems.
I will have a Yankee Swap Gift and a Door Prize Donation.
Looking forward to a fun day.
Diane
P.S. I am bring a crock pot of meatballs!

Logged on to check something and figured I might as well post ...
I am packing So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Always Artichoke full inkpads and a Basic Black spot for one of Diane's projects.
I have already packed the carafes, two door prize gifts (I might have more as I rediscover my craft area!), paper piercing tool, guide and cutting mat, Snow Flurries, two standard wheel handles, full-size and spot in Real Red, slit punch and Diamond Glaze (about 1/3 bottle but it is flowing!), foodie goodie bags, Yankee gift swap, and Project #1.
Now to get Project # 2 and some swaps done and packed!
PS - My first project uses Old Olive so it might be possible to share it. I guess it will depend upon how the tables and projects get set-up.
