okay-so I guess I better not start the diet til after stamp-a-palooza? Anyway I will bring something? Any suggestions?? Do you all prefer something that you can snack on while you are stamping or something different?
Looking forward to the 13th-see you then. Barb
Hi there ladies
I am soooooooooo excited about coming to this event. It will be so cool to meet so many new people. Ok, I get the part of bringing a shoe box card for 10 (or 12), but what are we doing the rest of the day??? I figure eating and socializing will take a while, but 5 hours? Do I make my card very complex for advanced card makers, or are we going to have newbies who would appreciate something simple?
Are we also having regular swap? And, do they need to be SU only? I really want to use my cuttlebug! I'm having a blast with it!
thank you for answering all my questions!

You won't hardly have a minute to spare. You will be making 10 different cards. Each card will take approximately 20 minutes maybe more. That 2.5 plus hours for just doing the cards. Add lunch, door prize time, raffle time, make and take time and you might be lucky if we have a little extra visiting time as well.
As for the complexity of your card. You will have all types of stamping levels. That doesn't mean that it has to be simple or complex.....a middle road approach. You just need to consider the time to make your card. Don't make it so simple that it is done in 5 minutes. They will have at least 20 minutes to work on your card. There will be no cutting tools like paper cutters there so you will want to pre-cut all your pieces for assembly. We are allowed to use heat guns and glitter....woo hoo! So embossing is possible.
Sound right to you too, Doodah?
Hope that answers a lot of your questions.

Thanks for answering and also to the OP for asking the question. That helps me a bunch! I have my card ready to go but after looking at it I think I'll add some Embossing so we'll have the extra fun! Good times will be had....whether we want to or not...bwahaha! *evil laugh* Soon, I will get to meet all of you wonderful ladies!

Yes! And I would just add if you want to use your bug go for it!!
Stampincass asked if the stuff for the swap was to be all SU! products , no one said yes or no and I reread the front page and it doesn't specify on there either , someone may have answered it way early in the thread but I haven't read it all , it would take me to long . But I guess if the cuttlebug can be used that means NVR....right ?
I need to know before I figure out my swaps....please . Thanks a bunch !
