unless you ladies start practicing putting your feet behind your head and riding a unicycle at the same time....YUP! ;)
Maybe I can sneak over before hand and just visit for a few minutes. We'll see. DS actually takes Circus Class that morning...maybe in-betweeen the little prince's events! LOL
I could probably dangle upside down from a bungee cord, that looks like fun.

I really want to join you all! Im not sure about what it is exactly I am supposed to do,lol, but it sounds great! And to add to jenmson I have heard rave reviews about the Pomegranate Bistro. Im not sure exactly how many people they can accomodate as it doesnt look to big though. Im just over in Carnation not too far away. There are so many good rests. in Redmond to choose from! What is the fee to attend?
Regarding Pomegranate, it would depend on how many are going to dinner. We should know that next week to know if the Pomegranate will work.
jamielady - you create a card, they you cut all the pieces to make 10 more. You put all those card pieces and everything you need to make that card (ribbon, inks, stamp set, brads, etc) in a box. We all get together and trade boxes. So you take home 10 different cards that someone else created but you made.
The fee is $10. There will be some drawings, a goodie bag at check in and 2 make n' takes during the day. You can also bring things you want to get rid for the sell table. We are doing a potluck type lunch. You can either bring something to share or brown bag it. Totally up to you!
Let us know if you have any more questions. You should come. It is tons of fun!
What kind of things can I bring for the sell table? Do they need to be SU products? How are the items priced?
You can bring any craft items you like. There is no vendor restriction. You price the items. Just make sure they are marked with your name, or some way of identifying them as yours... stickers, whatever.

Would love to attend. Where do I send the $$? I'm a beginner and always looking for inspiration
Do we actually make the projects there? Sure sounds like fun.

Hi and welcome!!!
You make one as a sample and then cut and prepackage for 12 more. 10+2 in case people mess up. When you go home you take 10 different cards with you all made up. (Or if you are like me and talk all the time you take home about 5 made and the pieces for the rest). We have a great time and even though I am just an attendee I want to say welcome!!!!
Check in the first post in this thread...Raindeer Trout has all the instructions there
Roseanne
I'm Nora and I live in Ferndale..... Today is my 3rd time carpooling and taking the bus. My work hours have been changed from 7:30 - 4:30 so I have a few minutes to check my emails, etc.
Reason I'm doing this? Gasoline is quite expensive and our employer will be giving us free bus passes for the next 5 months..... so I figure the money I save from gas, I can treat myself to stamping products including going to the swap on May 17th....
Have a great day!

Got the info I needed to join you all on the 17th and the "check's in the mail"!. Thanks for your help! I've only been making cards for a year or so but find it great therapy!! It sure sounds like this is a great event! I sent the info to some other card addict friends too.
How complicated should we make the cards? Do you stamp the cards ahead of time or is it like a "stamp camp" where you do everything but cut the paper there? Just like to be prepared.....less stress, more fun
Stamp camp. Precut the paper and any other supplies you can (ribbon, etc.) and the projects will be assembled at the swap. Projects should take about 15 minutes to complete.

I'm thinking that I might decide to come to this shindig after all. Just heard an ad for a Steven Curtis Chapman concert to be held at Overlake Community Church on that same night. Do you think an old lady like me might have enough energy for both??
I'm new to this community and saw your post on the shoe box swap meet. What is this?
Definition #1: You design a card or project, make enough of the pieces for your project so everyone can create a copy of your masterpiece. You put all the pieces in a shoebox and we all get together and share.
Go to the first page of this thread and you will find more details. If you live anywhere near (driving distance) to Redmond, WA you will love this event.
Do you folks know this is the weekend of the Puyallup Rubber Stamp Convention?? Please come and support the vendors. At least come on Sunday! I'll be working the Scarlet Empress booth, come by and say Hello!
I don't think I'm going to make this event :( We have 3 other things to juggle that day so I just don't see how I can do it. I'm sorry......I'm really bummed.

OH NO!!! just drop them and come see us. After all stampin is a priority!!!
Tomorrow is the last day to get your money to RT for this fun fun event! Don't forget, we want you here!!! Come to beautiful downtown Redmond on Sat. and then head over to Puyallup on Sun for the stamp show
Can I still register. This sounds fun. Finally get to meet other splitcoaststampers in Seattle.
