Heres the Plan... Design a card (or other project... ornament, box, bag, etc)
Create 2 completed items (1 for a sample at the craft table and 1 to display for voting)
Create 20 kits of your card. (number may be smaller-- depends on attendees) Put the kits in a shoebox or small basket.
Using 20 small bags or envelopes make a kit for each of the gals attending.
Be sure to print 20 copies of your instructions... one for each gal.
You do not need to provide tape and glue for your project.... each swapper should bring her own.
Your project/shoebox will be set at a marked space.
Swappers will move from project to project. (Some people will finish faster than others, but there is plenty of space to work side by side when needed. Each of us will go home with 19 new projects.)
What to bring... Your "shoebox" with...
* the 20 kits (19 for us gals to make + 1 in case there are any mistakes)
* any "stuff" we will need to create your project
* the 2 completed items
* Your own "tool kit" to carry with you from project to project.tape, glue, pop-dots, scissors, pen, pencils et cetera.
* If you have extra cards at home that you would like to donate to the church's card ministry, we would be delighted to have them.
Sack Lunch This has worked well previously and no leftovers!
Name Tag... Create your own name tag. Make it a piece of artwork that you can be proud to wear.
Janitors request...
No loose glitter. No embossing powder. Those things get in the carpet and stay for months. Stickles are fine. Watercolors and chalk are great.
Hi Garnet, I spoke to Shirley yesterday and she won't be able to attend the swap this year :(. Still hoping more will sign up. I do have my project all done! Not a winter card, just a card I hope everyone will like!

I'm sorry I haven't responded before this, I've had an out of state sister visiting for the last month. I am planning to attend, I'll get the check out this week. I should be able to get a project put together in time, if I keep it fairly simple.

Hi Julie, Thanks for your note. I will watch the mail for your check. (Nothing to worry about, as my mailbox is locked).

Garnet, if we want to donate completed cards from our stash for the church- should they be in individual baggies/cellophane and have envelopes?thanks!
Julia

Hi Julia.. Just the cards with an envelope. No need for baggies or cellophane.

I just want to check in and ask.....
I see you only have 9 people signed up, am I only making 8 kits plus my 2 demo cards?
I just want to touch base as I have a lot going on this week before the swap.
Thank you
I think Karen has a good idea. Make 1 or 2 extra just in case there is a mishap. (Of course, all of us are so perfect we never make mistakes lol!)

Got my cards ready on Sunday. Had to buy a package of glue sticks yesterday. the card is rather messy.
Today I need to organize the PRIZES! But first I need to see doctor. Hoping she can diagnose what's wrong with my legs. Getting tired of the pain.
