Guess what arrived today!?! So, naturally I shook it, sniffed it, held it to the light and stared at it hoping a mental image of the contents would telepathically appear in my brain.
The only image that appeared in my brain were cupcakes, so either my telepathy is on the fritz or I'll have a big moldy mess by February 17th. :razz:
This is my first one too, I would love to see the other thread as well!!

Glad you have a distraction, Heather. Just wish it wasn't the ailing kind. Be careful tomorrow. How much longer before you start your maternity leave?
I'm waiting for an order to arrive then it won't take me long to put it together.
I mailed a package to Alberta this morning about the same size and weight cost $13. So that wasn't too bad.
I'm pushing for another month. Busy, busy. And, I'd rather be distracted than waiting at home. It's just a question of what will come first...my maternity leave, or the baby.
Another question do we mail when we are ready or after the shower?
Here's the basics, Tami. Thanks for asking since we have some new people. :-)
1: Take pictures of your gift.
2: Package your gift and mail it to Heather ASAP. We hope for her to have lots of things to open the night of the shower.
3: The night of the shower, Heather will tell us who's gift she is opening. While she is oohing and ahhhing over everything, you post the pictures here of what you sent so we can all see what she's seeing.
Also... the pictures ahead of time are great in case her package does not reach her in time.. you can say 'this is my gift' and post your pics.

Baby gift enroute from Ohio as of yesterday morning. I really squeezed stuff in the box, so the wrapping may not be so pretty anymore, but it's the thought that counts, right?
Doctor's appointment is tomorrow morning and we'll find out if baby's done the ole' flipper-roo! I'll make sure I post sometime tomorrow what the result is.

Heather, don't lose hope. I had one friend who was all set to go, baby in position. On night, super active baby then the next day labor. She labored at home until she was an 8only to get to the hospital was to find all that activity was the baby flipping in to breech and she had to have a c-section. So if a baby can do a late term flip the wrong way, there is no reason a baby can't do a late term flip the other way.
FYI, I've got my little party favor cards ready, but I'm holding off til we have the shower to mail them so I can add prizes to the ones who win the games that night, and because we may or may not have some folks not able to participate after all or drop or such.
I still need addies on two folks, PMd those.
Its just been a really busy month of late for me and I'm exhausted. Stayed home today feeling under the weather and we had freezing rain/ice, so it worked out for the best. Feels like I could use a week of sleep though!

My giftie is store bought, but the card will be handmade! I ordered the Giftie and it will not be delivered to me until Friday so I'll get it mailed out to Heather on Monday; I've been told it takes at least 14 days for first class mail to be delivered from my "neck of the woods" to Canada.
My pkg will go postal this week too, when I get to the post office, hopefully this afternoon. Ice rain here all day yesterday so I wasn't going anywhere! Battling the head cold thing... its trying to get ahold of me and I'm resisting with all the stuff... neti pot, salt water gargle, sudafed.... oh joy. Just don't want bronchitis again.

If I can get things where they need to be this week, mine will go postal Monday at the latest. I'm trying for Saturday but I got a new assignment from my editor yesterday and it is also due before Feb. 3rd.

I got 3 things made today for Heather! I have 1 other thing I want to do and then I bought one thing this evening. So, I should be postal by Friday....no later than Monday anyway.
Good evening everyone! Thought I'd check in. After a quick check of my threads, I'm off to stand on my head for a bit and see if I can convince baby to do an about face. I'll chat later, as long as I don't get dizzy and knock myself out.
Thanks for the prayers, this head cold is hitting me at the worst time, major crunch at work on a project and far too much going on this weekend with church... including I'm hosting the women's ministry program kick off at my house on Friday night!

When I first read that, i swore it said a few days and not a few weeks. I panicked!!!!!!:shock:
Just checking in to find out how everyone is doing! I'm fine. Feeling a tad on the large side and I don't think baby's flipped yet, but otherwise okay. Did some shopping on Saturday and got a few things for the nursery. It's still not fully painted, but we're working on it. This week it should be done, for sure!
