Oh, no, Heather!! So sorry for your loss!! Hope your other kitty handles it ok... :(
Me too!! So far, he seems to be okay. He's definitely looking for his buddy, but otherwise seems good. DH is already talking about wanting another cat, but we know now is not the time. I told him tonight that when we're ready, the right cat will come to us. It's happened twice before, with both the cats we have...hmmm, had....now.
In other news....Toni, your box arrived today. Thank you!!! Love it! I thought the inside was terry, but it's softer and warmer than that! It's also bigger than I expected. Also loved the craft items and the book. Dr. Suess was on my "to acquire" list....all kids need them!!

And you're right...another kitty will appear when you least expect it but at just the right moment! I was looking for a solid grey kitty when my friend told me her son's cat had kittens and one was grey. When she brought him she brought his brother and told me whichever one I didn't take was going to the humane society! Well, two kitties are no harder to take care of than one! LOL. So I ended up with the 2 boys and they get along great with my boxer mix...now to talk DH into another dog...hmmm...
Christina - Your gorgeous blanket arrived yesterday. It's beautiful!! Thank you so much.
Our week got off to a rotten start - really rotten. Yesterday was a holiday here and DH and I decided to go out for breakfast. Had our coats on an were ready to go and heard a loud crash from the basement. Our 11 year old cat, Checkers, must have suffered a heart attack. DH found him at the bottom of the stairs and he died in his arms within a few minutes.
He was diagnosed with a heart murmer about three years ago and we were warned it could lead to heart failure. But there were no signs that it was getting worse.
DH is heartbroken!! Checkers adored him...they adored each other! :(
Oh sweetie. So sorry for the both of you. They are family members through and through. Hugs!

According to the humane society where I got her, she's mixed with Akita. Her mother was a purebred white boxer for sure; the CAHS had the mother and all the puppies in the litter (12 in all!) until the pups were weened and the mother went back to her owner... What's yours mixed with?? Dixie is solid fawn color and weighs just a tad over 70 lbs...she was 6 weeks old and only 8 lbs when I got her!
Well, as you know, my peanut was breech. What my secret was, is that due to that fact, DH and I elected to take our doctor's recommendation and go with a scheduled c-section. We've known the delivery date (barring early labour) for the last two weeks.
This morning, as scheduled, we welcomed our sweetie.
Did you know that apparently most breech babies are girls? But Daddy was a breech baby.
Regardless, Baby Bolli went with statistics. Claire Sharon arrived at 9:23am weighing in at a respectable 8lbs, 3oz. So far, Claire's hobbies are sleeping, sucking her adorable thumb and winding her mommy and daddy around her little fingers.
I am doing well. Trying to take it easy and not rush things. Feeling pretty good considering.
It sure helps to be snuggled up in bed with this precious bundle to admire!!
I'll post more, including a picture, when I can. Thank you all for you support, gifts and good thoughts.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How wonderful, I get chills everytime I read the wonderful news of a baby arriving to bless lives!!!!! So glad all are well and full of love and joy!!!
Holy cow! Way to be sneaky! Love it! And a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS. You must be doing well if you are up and online already. Can wait to see photos when you get around to it. No hurry.
Our "Woody" is boxer/border collie. He is too smart for his own good. The boxer is protective and the border collie wants to know where everyone is ALL the time. He is brindle, which is why we named him Woody, as in cheap paneling, lol.... Ah, memories from my childhood, lol. We torture him when we are spread out through the house and he can't see everyone at once. He goes around seeing where we all are and then picks a central location to park it.

Well, life is lovely but messages are slow. Gotta type one-handed while cuddling Claire, or else put her down and hope that she doesn't fuss once she finds out she's no longer being held. Today was the first time I was able to do that for any period of time....I ended up running upstairs to check on her THREE times, even though the baby monitor clearly told me she was fine. New mommy syndrome, right?
Anyway, I did promise a photo of Claire. However, DH and I are trying to limit her internet exposure, at least until she gets her first international modeling contract so I'd request that you check out my blog tomorrow (Tuesday) for her debut.
Thanks to you all!!
Oh, I can't remember if I posted that Toni's package arrived, but it did...last week. Kelly's package arrived this morning...it's GORGEOUS, Kelly. DH was very impressed too.

She is just TOO precious, Heather! I left love under the shower post. So happy you like the album. Insert picture and journaling is all you have to do to complete her first album.
Right now, you won't see some of the subtle changes she'll go through from month to month but will when you look back through the album in years to come.
