Heather, I recall you mentioned wanting to collect books for Baby; I work at a high school and we have book sellers set up quite often, and those books and CDs were part of the vendor's setup and I just had to get them for you; the card is a "Punch art" card that went along with the theme!
Yep, I was an SU dealer and Manager too, probably met even. haha
My son and daughter both graduated from THS. I used to work downtown in the avenues, then went to work for Intel in American Fork then to Riverton when they had that buildilng. Left in 2003.... paid my 12 yrs pennance living there. Hehe
Where are you now? SLC isn't perfect but I have a lot of really great friends, the best daycare ever and a wonderful cost of living.
Oh I agree, I still have a lot of the books from my son and daughter who are now 26 and 29, hung on to them for my grandkids, and now i have one grandson so far so am excited to share them with him too. And had tons of music for kids and still have some of them even! On LP no less since I'm that old! haha

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD BOOK?
So Heather can start a list to buy for her kiddo(s)!
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. but my mom says she used to read a book about a Dramdary camel OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. i donot remember it though
My fave books would have to be anything about Mickey Mouse 'cause I was going to marry Mickey and I told everyone in my family and every relative that I was going to be Mrs. Mickey Mouse, so my uncle nicknamed me "smickem" and it stuck for many years!

I had so many favorite books... I still have most of them to read to my kids. One I loved as a small child was "Good Little Bad Little Girl"... It was a Golden Book. And yes, I re-read the same books over and over and over to the kids. It's a good thing though.
I have favorites for jsut about every age...
loved reading with my kids.
But there was this book when they were a little older, elementary age, about a dragon named Serendipity. It just stuck. Became my favorite word too, even my email and website later on... seekingserendipity. THough on here I'm Stampingooddeeds.
Mine was "Black Star" about a pony. To this day I can't read or hear to "I'll love you forever", I absolutely SOB! (and my parents are alive and well!, I have NO IDEA why it affects me so!)
Melina sent me a frog teething toy and and mysteriously wrapped yellow ball, which is a.....<unwrapping>....<giggle>...Melina, that's the BEST wrap job!! And, it arrived safely.
It's a hand decorated jar...piggy bank, Melina?
And a brag book...about a 3x3 size. Perfect for my pocket to show all the ladies in line at the grocery store, right?

Not mine, but my favorite for my kids was "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", by Judith Viorst. And my grandson (and I!) love most all of Sandra Boynton's books, but my very fave (which I couldn't find when I went shopping for Heather) is "Fifteen Animals".
