Well, my cards are cut and ready to go. I have to decide on what dessert to bring.. Hmm. If only all the choices in life were this easy.
I am looking forward to getting to see some the ones from the first swap again and meeting the new ones. I am really looking forward to getting to sit and do the projects this time instead of running like a chicken with it's head cut off! Thanks again Melissa for heading this one up.
I missed posting yesterday. I'm trying to get over a nasty cold. I looked at the weather and it looks like the storm will be over by Saturday! Yeah!! I'm so excited. I finished my door prizes and put my swaps together, so I'm almost ready. I just need to go and get the plates, bowls, etc and get the stuff for the taco soup.
I'm so excited!!

It's snowing like mad at my house! 2 inches already. Our puppy is outside having the time of his life. He loves the snow, crazy mutt! Since I'm still home from work, maybe I'll get to stamp today! I can't wait for Saturday!!! I'm so excited to see everyones projects.

:mrgreen: Hi - I'm in Morgan, and we're DEFINITELY getting dumped on! I love it though - just having recently moved here from kinda the south (Arkansas)! We're excited to see all this white stuff! Even went out and bought a 4 wheel drive SUV so we could always get out in it! ha ha
So..... this is my first shoebox swap. I have ideas, and am headed in to Roy today to get the rest of what I need for Saturday. Which brings me to the next question: I forgot to check, Missi, if this needs to be all SU supplies!! Will you call me or let me know via a post so I can make sure, before I mess this up?!

We ended up with about 3 inches today, so the little snow blower did the trick. My poor DH is just dying to break out the big boy, he's had him gassed up and ready since November Personally I'm happy with small amounts of the white stuff!

Hi girlies.......I'm so bummed, we are having company coming in from out of town late Friday/early Saturday and will only be here Saturday on there way to Las Vegas to I can't come, waaaaa.
I'm actually pretty excited to see the neice who is coming from So Dakota just wish it were a different weekend, and now this weather is making me nervous for their travel.
I have my project all ready to go and was planning on bringing a nice tossed salad to go with all the mexican food so I'm really sad I can't make it.
I guess I'll save it all (not the salad) for the next one. Have a Blast...
I just got a call from my friend Nancy, who was also suppose to come, telling me that she got called into work on Saturday and could not talk herself out of it so she won't be able to come either but she is working on getting me her stuff so I can at least bring the project she had planned and then I will just take her the ones that need to be finished.
I guess in the future, January is NOT a good time for a get-together. . .
Hopefully we won't have any more cancellations and we will see the rest of you all on Saturday.
BUMMER! I just got sick this afternoon and I feel AWFUL! Got the whole works - sniffles, runny nose, sneezing, coughing - - - so I'm taking a dose of super strength nite-time Nyquil and see if I can knock this thing. Hopefully I will get to come, but if I'm still this sick, I'd better not. Don't want to spread it around. I'll keep you updated!!!

Julie, drink lots of orange juice and gets lots of rest. That's what has helped me get over this nasty bug that is going around. I hope you're feeling better by Saturday! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks, y'all for telling me about Roberts in Centerville - - I went there after our swap and bought a Cuttlebug at 40% off, and they also had Sizzix die cuts (alphabets) for 50% off clearance - so I bought two of those, and then there were some Sizzix embossing plates which were 75% off, which made them $1.50 each, - - - - and YES, I bought them too! I'm waiting for my husband to turn his attention elsewhere:cool: , so I can run out in the garage and put it all in my craft room before he "catches on" (if you know what I mean!!)
So are we gonna try this again NEXT month? I'm READY!!!!

Hey Julie, you scored! I showed my MIL our cards & she really liked them, too. (She babysat for me while I was there.) I'm thinking I need to use the monkey "Thanks a Bunch" card for her babysitting service today. ;)
Julie- Go to the Get it Together forum and start a new thread and see if you get interest.. Usually we post a poll to see what date works best. I am thinking if you start planning now you could maybe get one in March. . . Depends on schedules and stuff.. Worth a try.

Thank you again so much for putting the swap together. We had so much fun and would love to have another one. I agree that march would be better!! It was very fun to meet everyone and make some new friends.
