Hello ladies! 2 months before Go Time for our 2nd Annual NTX Shoebox Swap. I'm excited all over again!
Do I have anyone here on this thread who is interested in being on the Prize Patrol? I would like to have someone (or a few someone's) to solicit the craft companies we all know and love for prizes for our swap. If you're interested please PM me.
Suzy, I'm on the DT for Bugaboo Stamps which sells digital stamps. I'd be happy to approach Jodie about a CD or gift certificate. Just let me know, OK? MWAH!

Good for you! I've gone no further on mine. The retired cardstock will only make your card more special. Since I've had the pleasure of seeing it, I can tell you that everyone will LOVE it! I can't wait to make it!

Bummer, Christy! I'm so sorry that you and Momma DeeDee won't be coming. I totally understand. We'll keep you posted, okay?

Whoo hoo!!!! I am off the wait list!!! This will be my first shoebox swap so I hope I don't let you ladies down!!!
I have a silly question. Do I need to provide the adhesive or does everyone bring their own for the cards they put together? Also, any suggestions on how much adhesive will be needed for 40 cards?

Thanks and looking forward to the swap!
Welcome!
You'll want to bring your own adhesive and scissors and anything else you might want to use. I usually use one roll of ATG tape, but I always bring a back up roll and a small bottle of glue (Scotch Tacky Glue).
Are you familiar with what you need to do for your kits? If you need further instruction, give me a shout and I'll do my best to explain it.
This is my first swap too. I'm very excited but also do not want to let anyone down with my swap card.
Good ? about the adhesive. So just to clarify, everyone uses their own adhesive on the swap cards?? I'd love any additional explaination of the kits too. I have a friend coming too that told me she made it from the wait list who is a first timer also. So any additional explaination would be welcomed. Including door prize?

Basicially, you design a card that will take 10 minutes or less to create. Then, you will make a card kit that consists of all the materials to make said card. You will cut your card stock for each kit and put the card stock and any embellishments into a sandwhich baggie for each kit. You'll need 40 such kits.
Rules have always been to use quality card stock (i.e. Stampin' Up!, MFT, Papertrey Ink, etc.), quality stamps (no dollar spot stamps - see FAQ documentment attached to this post for guidelines), and quality ink.
If you need some examples, use the Advance Search in the gallery and search by 'north texas card swap' and you'll find some from our past swaps.
I would be soooo nervous if I posted it early....I would be too critical if I saw it then I would feel like I need to start completely over. The cycle would be way to vicious! ;)
