I got an email from Karen...doc said no to ride next week, so that means a YES for the swap...yippee
Karen, I know that you are somewhat disappointed since you have been preparing for months for the ride...hopefully, the swap will ease the "pain"...lol.
I'm very much looking forward to Saturday:
1. Card #1 made (#2 coming at the end of the packaging process)
2. Paper cut ( Thanks Scrapbook Village for letting me cut it there! )
3. Paper edged (click click click click)
4. Door prizes purchased
5. Now just to stamp ~~~and die cut ~~~~~~and package them all up!

Woo Hoo - you go...sounds like you have everything under control...can't wait til Saturday!
Anita, are you going to send out an email with directions since the location is different this year? Many may not be checking this thread.
You are so good...actually Jonathan put them into the snail mail for me...I tried to color code a map coming in on SH 36 and FM 521 - from West Columbia, Angleton and Lake Jackson. I may try again to scan it in...user issues, so that I can send the map in an email as well...I can't get my scanner to cooperate with me.
I know y'all don't think I'm coming, but I am. I have my card. Everything's cut, cuttlebugged, and counted. I have my door prize. I'm trying to decide if I'm making something for a snack or bringing the oversized bag of Snickers, MilkyWays, and Three Muskateers. I'll decide on Friday. I guess it will depend on if I have eaten them all by then. My biggest problem at this point is that I have't done my taxes. I have a tradition that I drive to the post office and mail them just before midnight on the fifteenth. Since I now do mine with Turbo Tax, I just drive to the post office for fun. I'm not crazy. Just a little set in my ways. I usually call my closest friends while I'm there. This year I might just have to end all that. I can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!
Wow! Teddie, I believe you when you say you are not crazy. Really I do! Me, I'd go for the sleep instead. But have fun, whatever you do and save some of those candies for us! I guess I need to decide what snack I will bring.
Teddie, you are too funny (not crazy, though)! Don't call me when you take your traditional drive to the post office, I too will be asleep. I am planning on making Coffee Toffee Brownies recommended by the Pioneer Woman to bring as a snack.
Sounds yummy......and thanks for the encouragement of not being crazy. I really need it to be April 30th....that would really help. The TAKS test will be over...field trips over....and only a month of school left.....Things are really crazy here.....and I know it's crazy everywhere. So I won't complain any more.
Card...check
Door Prize....check
Snack....check
TAXES...........CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!
(Except it was my debit card and not a check, but they are filed!! Early!!)

Anita, thank you so much for the map in the mail! You are awesome!
I have an unprecedented announcement to make. It's 2 days before the swap and my card is designed and prepped and ready to bag. Seriously, I'm known for my procrastination.
But you know what this means...
...I'll have plenty of time to roll some balls...

Oh dear, the famous "balls" that I keep hearing about and haven't had yet! They sound so good!
Anita, thanks so much for the map--you are really on top of things--thanks for all you do!

I hope you like my balls. Really they're Bakerella's but she lets me borrow her recipes. ;)

Linda, how did you get that "quiet and shy" under your name?
Because I'm incredibly quiet and shy. And I never post anything...
I'll wait while you stop laughing.
A while back, in the beginning days of SCS, when you got to 20K posts you could pick your own title. Evidently, I jabber quite a bit. For a while I had "Hungry" under there. I had it changed to "quiet and shy" at one point and I forget it's there until someone says something.

Karen,
I snail mailed everyone a color coded map...if you don't get it, let me know and I can send you typed directions using a google map...just let me know which direction you are coming into Brazoria -

Well, looks like there is a lot of activity going on here and we only have one day left to get everything ready for one of the best stamping events in Brazoria.
Do I have all my papers cut? Yep
Do I have all my stamps and ink pads together? Yep
Do I have my directions? Yep...thanks ot Anita who always seems to be on top of things.
Adhesives, pop dots, glue dots? Yep
Oh, how about the ribbons and flowers? Yep...Karen, I got some different ones...there were more in the tin than the other one.
Bling, Bling, Blink....got that too.
My samples ready? Yep
Snacks...contemplating making some cupcakes, but it depends on the ingredients I have on hand....may bring something else. How about Black Bean Salsa? Very tasty.
The only thing I have to do is put the kits together. Now have I forgotten anything. Let's see, got that, got that, yep that too. Oh, I must not forget to pick up my friend who is riding along with me....now what was her name and were does she live? I know it's along the way. I know she lives close by and in First Colony....hummmmmm! Darn it, I must be having one of those senior moments...hummmmmm.
Oh, don't fret, Billie Dee, I really didn't forget about you. I'll see you at 7 in the morning.
I am so excited about the swap - I can't sleep...just like the first day of school (that was along time ago). I am looking over my list and making another list, checking them all. Appears that everything is set...sooo, I'll see everyone Sat. morning.
I will be away from the computer most of the evening...going to watch a baseball game... however, I will have my phone, so call me if you need to, otherwise -see ya soon!
