im packing right now..
- the sad thing: its not even projects im doing.. all ee stuff lol...
my own stuff.. i think i'll pack it tomorrow morning lol
so i wont be on scs much today, if you need me, i have sent my cell # around... or email me, I have my blackberry with me, and will reply to you almost instantly..
i will be dropping by the coffee place tonight, but don't know when.. if you are new and don;t see me, just look around for a bunch of crazy yakking women, saying "embellish this, swap that" then you know you came to the right place.
wow.
it is like my tiny
little
"not- very- consequential- in- the- big- scheme- of- things- world "
*knows *
somehow understands
that I am planning on checking out for a few days
having everything on the back burner
trading it all away for some 'me time'...
a million little things keep popping up to distract me from my ultimate purpose
to get away this weekend
funny that all I can think of is to get on the computer and waste more time...LOL!

Reason: typos because the phone was ringing!
Desperate last minute plea for help... I am in need of 3-4 sheets of garden green. If any of you who are coming has it, can I trade for another colour I have on hand.... I'd be very grateful...
goodmorning !
coffe date was great ... releived to see everybody made it.
we closed the place down!
well, actually everyone was pleased but tuckered out and the coffe shop closed at
gasp !
nine pee-ehm!
so we were all turned out into the streets.
it's anyone's guess how the dorm gals finished up the night though...
I packed some more and turned in early.
I am erring on the side of
the always popular,
"pack too much of everything"
...except fibers and embellies... and oddly ... rubber
I am taking cs and all my tools ...
I will concentrate on cutting many letters for wall words...
hopefully I can borrow a stamp or two if I need one!!
LOL!!!!

I just wanted to pop in here and say a big THANK YOU for your contribution of cards to the military project. I got them all counted tonight (aren't you impressed Loretta!?!?;)) and you donated 453 cards! I still have to do the cardfronts so that will add another 20-25. I will update the card total on the thread in red on my siggy line.
Your generosity will not go unnoticed.
Now...does anybody have an "in" for envelopes? I am in desperate need and Carlton won't donate anymore and Hallmark is being frugal. I'm going to contact my local Staples store to see if they will donate to me. Any other ideas? Please PM me.
Thanks again! Hope you have a great Sunday finishing up all the projects you brought! hee hee :p
Had a great first day at EE3, Did absolutely nothing. Had a great time visting with friends not seen in a long while and checking out everyone's amazing projects. So many talented ladies all in one room.
Looking forward to another day of pretty much the same.
Carolyn, You are the lady I have been waiting for! I get tons of envelopes all the time and I never know what to do with them. They are the Carlton one. I will round some up for you.
Louise
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a lot of fun on Saturday!
I wanted to thank everyone for the card front swaps I had gotten. I emailed those of you who had that info on the back but I have a few cards with no info at all and can't thank you the same way.

Thank you to all the attendees of EE 3. It was such a great weekend filled with good company and good times. It was a pleasure to meet you and spend a weekend crafting with you.
Anna - Your class was a HUGE hit and people loved it. Talk about talent!
Can't wait for your next project/class at EE 4 (lol). Thanks to you and your generosity to teach (and enable) others, the MS society will receive some much needed support.
To my fellow coordinators - it was a blast. Thank you for allowing me to take part. I had a great time.
I don't think I have ever laughed so much before... I was laughing so hard, I was crying -Thanks Judy!
I think I may need a few days to recover... (lol)
Nancy, hope you have a safe journey home. Ruth, glad to hear that you made it home safe n sound. Thank you for making the long trek to join us!

[QUOTE=smallpigpig;14157330]Just a little (insider) funny...
Things I learn at EE....
1) there's no such thing as too much ribbon (Diane) yeah, and I had to cut it all... jk! Meters, right Pegs, and not yards?
2) The new meaning of "walking the dog" (Loretta)
Loretta, I too figured the same thing. I mean, really, how long does it take to "walk the dog"? Honestly... (lol)... P, we are onto you and these "code" words (lol)
3) fushia ink stains more than purple ink (Jessica)
Poor Jessica... Wing, you definitely picked the "right" color ;)
The fusia should wash off in the next week or two (lol)... but nonetheless your sign was da bomb!
4) the michaels in Sherwood park is easier to get to than the one in S. Common (gail) Bet now, she is wondering how come she didn't take Mike's cell phone number ;)
5) witnessing that a DD card CAN be done in 30min (dawn) Didn't you know that cards have an expiry? After 30 mins, it's garbage.
Dawn, you and Lisa were hilarious. Glad that you came!
6) EE is now that first event ever that employs a "kill-the-bee-carry-my-tote-walking-alarm-clock-self-proclaimed-funny-man" (Mike) Poor Mike... this guy truly loves you P! Two full days in an estrogen-filled room, the man deserves an award...or better yet an EXTRAlong dog walk (LOL)
7) the controversy between spitting or swallowing *bubble tea* (amanda) No comment... No, it isn't what you think everyone, I promise ;)
It's Peggy's "code" words again...

I must admit I did sleep in, well kinda sorta.. Drove mike to work and went back to bed.. Woke up like 1... horrible I know.
Anyhow, i spent the rest of the time totalling the Final amount fundraised from this event...
together with:
1)raffle tix
2)anna's class
3)"selling" the classes materials via donations
4)portion of proceeds from sales from PaperWorks Co.,
We were able to fundraise.. $550!!!!!!
that's an increase of about $150 from last year's event!!!! Goes to show that we all have big hearts and willing to lend a helping hand (despite the crappy economy), so give yourself a pat on the back!!!!!
I will be sending a cheque tomorrow once i catch up on PWCO stuff..
so after that if anyone wants to see a copy of the reciept I'm more than happy to supply it. just email me. I just don't feel comfortable posting it as my personal info's on it
and that concludes this year's soiree....
I've been getting alot of questions regarding EEIV. (from the subtle "are we doing it next year" to a not-so-subtle "So, for next year, can we have it here again"... lol)
to be honest, Im not sure if I can handle it as my wedding is next year in aug. and knowing the type-a-bridezilla-in-training that I am, i might be too occupied.
So I can't commit yet. BUT if any of you would like to take a stab at organizing it, let me know. I have tons of info collected through the years that will make it easier on the planning aspect.. besides.. i like to think its on autopilot now lol...
Anna, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful class, I have thought about nothing else since and believe I am now addicted. I can wait to find some time to play with it somemore, dishes, laundry and a clean house doesn't seem too important right now.lol
But really thanks for taking your "me" time to share with us.
Louise
Thanks Peggy, Kyla, Amanda and Judy for all the hard work you put into EE (and Mike!).
I had a great time! And came away with a lot more accomplished than I thought. I enjoyed reconnecting with all of you, and meeting new people. Learned lots of new techniques (thanks especially to Anna for stampscapes class).
Hi all, I made it home to Manning Monday afternoon around 4 pm. A Long tiring trip, but I do enjoy getting away and meeting new people, and re-acquainting with friends. I had an awesome time this year....better than before,....but that is all my fault, for not joining in with people.
BIG THANKS, to Peggy, Kyla, Amanda and Judy for all your hard work.
A special thank you to Char and Heather for making my weekend more special, spending it with friends.
A thank you to Helen for bringing the Flower Soft and all your hard work in getting us organized.....thank you to Carrie and Jean and Nancy for helping. Many hands makes things easier.
Next year I won't be bringing as much stuff. Have to plan to do something, and just bring what I need for that, and not bringing everything and doing nothing. Spend most of Saturday filling out that exercise Peggy gave us to do. Thankfully I managed to do my shoebox swaps, and then Sunday I did up a Flower Soft card....so not a complete waste of time.
Anyways, I truly enjoyed my weekend, and can't seem to wait for another one.
Looks like everyone is now caught up on their sleep. I am still working on that part! I am glad everyone had asuch a gerat time! It was soooo nice seeing everyone - new and old alike!
thanks again Anna for such a great class - by all the comments, sure looks like EVERYONE enjoyed it! (and who wouldn't have?? lol) It was an awesome thing you did for all of us. You ROCK!
Thanks to all of our coordinators! I had a FABULOUS time! Thanks to my table mates and my "behind me" table mates... you are all so fun It was great to meet you all (and for some a second time) and to go out to supper, and stamp images (now I'm regretting not getting at least a couple copics!
Hi everyone! I'm very pleased to have been part of the coordinating team at such a successful event. To my "partner's in crime" (the coordinators), I had a great time and thank them for their generous creative ideas and exuberant friendship. To the attendees, you are a great bunch of talented, creative women and because the time flew by so quickly, you KNOW that we were all having such a GOOD time. Thanks for your lovely comments and for taking the time to share them. Glad to know that everyone made it home safe and sound. Scrapbooking/Cardmaking Women Rock!
