heehee doesn't everyone just love the "enabling" that goes on here?! heehee
Hey! What are you talking about?;)
I help my stampin' sisters anytime!
I'm arranging a zoo trip in my "lil' red rubber bus" so if any one wants to come for "coffee" I'll bring them along! I think I've Judy coming and I have to find my navigator and then there's some more room in the back!
oh, if you are hungry we can stop for lunch too!
I'm looking for Nancy, Ruth or Dawn or anyone else who can answer my question of flower-soft stuff. I'm just wondering....
Can you tell me what the texture is like? heavy? light? like embossing powder or glitter? Is it static-y? If I were to open a jar and share it.... what would work the best?
I haven't seen it or touched it yet. but soon.... Thanks!:-D
Helen....where are you buying this flower-soft in Peace River...If that is all you were coming for, I could probably save you a trip and pick it up for you. I have to go through PR to come to Edmonton. It isn't that far, and we also go to PR for groceries...they are a little cheaper there than here in Manning. Let me know you plans.[/QUOTE]
Thanks for the offer Judy, If the stuff doesnt' come in the weekend I'm there, then I'll ask you to be my back up delivery gal! You could save me the trip but.... can you take my appoint ment too ? then I don't have to come at all!
Think about it!
Okay, I have to say I'm not going to get a spa / massage appointment but it's actually a visit to the dentists.... :(
Helen, you should post a picture of yourself so I know who to look for if I meet you in Peace River. I have a vague idea, but I could be wrong.
Oh, yes, I might not recognize you either.....!:-D
I'll be the gal with a pain-ed look on her face, fat lips with drool on them ...... Under the influence of drugs possibly......and no one will be able to understand garbled attempts at speaking..... stand back so I don't spit on you by mistake! Are you sure you wanna meet me still;)
maybe we should do coffee or shopping on Saturday. Do you shop in town or at the top of the hill....as is the trend these days. When it gets closer to the long weekend we could make plans and see if it works out.

Hey there!
The stuff is really light...but it's packed into those containers really tight. You will need to almost roll it between your fingers to break it up. It does have a little static to it but nothing a little embossing buddy wouldn't take care of. I've given some to friends before and put it in those little cheapie bags from the dollarama...they are like a 1 x 2 inch bag?? They have the ziploc top on them and found them in the craft isle.
Helen, which dentist are you going to? and when is your appointment? Why do you have to come to PR to see a dentist, don't they have any where you live????
Let me know your schedule, and as it gets closer to the day, we can exchange phone #'s and get together.
Happy Belated Birthday Peggy! Now that you've reached 29 - just stay there. It will only become a problem if you have kids and they eventually reach the same age as you or older. Until then, just smile, be happy and stay 29!
peggy,
happy belated birthday !
Glad to hear it was great
love ya!

I have an EEIII question...
I am prepping today...
so far as I can tell...
On Saturday, full cards shoebox swap
there 16 are people listed...
are you making smaller sub groups ***requiring less cards*** ?
( I hope not since I can do 16!)
as in you wrote:
"We will be spliting everyone in groups at a later date. We are thinking groups of 5-6 depending on the final count."
or was this just for seating arrangements?
sorry if I am overthinking
but I wanna do this logistical stuff all today..
I always have so many great projects prepped for classes taht don't coalesce
that I can find something special to tweak for in each category....
my men are giving me a mental health day that I am planning to spend in my Creativitorium...
TIA,
char
oh!
last thing ... 20 buck glaze pen set please for at EE.. do I need to make a pwco order or just ask and cashncarry that day?
I just found out that they color on clear sheets
(canadian scrapbooker this month)
... yummy!

5+1 is easier ~

and made another teeny order...
i think Basic Grey is my new middle name...
they always give me what I want before I know I want it...

She's actually kind of cute even if she is drooling....
Hey, I'm wondering how you all are packing for this? I tend to pack anything and everything that I might need, in case inspiration strikes... but I'm thinking about just picking a project or two and packing the necessary stuff for that... suggestions?
well.. this is what i usually suggest to everyone:
-plan some projects and bring the materials you need.
-bring cardstock and black ink... in case you get stamped out, you can always go around and borrow images... so bring you colors (markers, pencil crayons etc)
-dont over pack... dont worry about forgetting something, chances are someone at the event can lend it to you

I always tell myself that I only pack what I need but somehow jean and I manage to take up an entire backseat of a car and truck with our stuff and then stick our overnight stuff at our feet - but really we only pack what we need.
Seriously though this year i am only bringing a little bit of stuff - just don't know what that is yet.
I have been lurking...!
(aving hi!)
I'm trying to keep quiet
-ish
but the excitement is making me a little ,
ahem... exuberant!
I didn't get *so very much* done the other day...
a ' day off ' **to me** means about 10 solid hours,
but my men gave me a 'day off' of only about 3 or 4...
oh well -
it was nice to visit with my stamproom,
lol!
however short,
it was productive:
I found my big table and planned out using it on my next day off!
LOL!

halo?? it sure is quiet!!! there is only 17 more sleeps!!!!!! Yippee!!!!
Wasn't around last weekend because we were finally painting the front deck at the house! only 3 yrs later! lol Looks good now! So when ya all come to see me now you have to look for the grey and white deck not the icky weathered deck~! lol
Drove to Calgary yesterday for some mts but didn't have a chance to hit any stores as I had to drive home again too! not a nice drive by yourself for sure! 3 hrs per day is now my new max of driving ! not 6 hrs of driving and 5 hrs of mtgs! Was a little tired this morning!
Looking forward tot he weekend to finish my swaps. doesn't look like a great weekend for weather and the lake, so basement here I come!
oh forgot to let ya know about those horrible fires are where I work - Redwater / Gibbons area.
Where I am is ok (so far fingers crossed), but not far away about 4 people lost their homes. Some of the guys from work here left yesterday afternoon to go and fight some fires around a co-workers house! I guess they worked for something like 8 hrs (after working all day at their jobs) to fight fires! and they are back at work today!
Hello to all! Just checkin' in to see what's been going on. I've been up to my eyeballs organizing a golf tournament and banquet which finally took place yesterday - whew! So now I'm ready to think about EEIII and what I plan to work on that weekend. I love golf and gardening but it sure cuts into my stamping time - SMILE!! Looking forward to seeing and meeting everyone on the 23rd. It won't be long now!
alright.. i think its about time to talk about friday night..
i don't think we'll organize dinner... but you all are more than welcome to get together for that. i think i might be having dinner with some VIPs.. not sure need to confirm though lol.
but lets do coffee or something...
i would love to do starbucks, but given that are a bunch of ladies who dont know the city very well, there is a local coffee shop at the university (by earls and booster juice)
here are the details:
Good Earth Cafe
Campus Tower, Edmonton
8623 112 Street
Edmonton, Alberta
Non-smoking. Patio. Wheelchair access.
Open Monday - Saturday 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
780-434-4892
on friday it's open till 10pm...
its fairly big, so we can all mingle without taking over the starbucks like the first year lol
and there's a patio, so if weather permits, we can relax in the sun.
this is really informal. you can come and leave whenever, but probably after dinner.. so lets say 7ish..or so?
I'm in, I think. Some of us that are staying in res were talking earlier about ordering in supper. No concrete plans there tho'. Are we still doing that ladies??
Ruth - what time does your flight get in on Friday? Do you need a ride from the airport? I drive right by and if needed, I would be more than happy to stop and pick you up.
Nancy - what about you? Are you flying in, or driving, or godforibid bussing it again? Do you need a ride?
Robin - I'm alone - do you want to carpool it from my house? You could leave your car here and hop in too.
Let me know ladies....
