ok Carrie, I took your advice. I talked to Mary at Stamp-A-Doodle today. I told her about our event and that there is a possiblility that after some of you take Anna's class, or even if you don't, but are interested in them, that she may have some shoppers stopping in to check out her selection. Because her selection is usually not a lot, she said she will bring in some of the more popular ones to have on hand.
So for any one venturing out for a field trip, it's not too far from the university.
It's a mom and pop kind of place. Very small, but, she has some nice stuff. Plus they are super friendly.
Ok Carrie, I've set up your shopping trip.
Oh and her hours on Saturdays are 12:30 - 4. She is closed on Sundays.
Woohoo! Sounds like a plan - will definately make my way that way I am sure.
Peggy are the numbers final for the swaps (general) I am limited on paper and am desperately trying not to buy more right now so if you could let me know I would appreciate it.

please check to see how many you will need to make..
(wow.. it looks light this year - everyone done with swapping? lol)
Good morning, girls!
Peggy have just been over to check the totals for the swaps and now I'm confused! Not difficult I know but don't want others to panic either. Total count for the card front swap says 20 FULL cards!!!! Shouldn't it read 20 mountable card fronts?!!!!!! Mine are cut and on the way to being assembled and I'm doing card fronts.
Bright and sunny here too, Nancy but quite breezy which unusual for here!
Hi again, Peggy, Please check the card swap .... general one.... Is it full or half cards? I read it and it says both.... I can't under stand it! I know my eyes are going to *&^! now! Helen:rolleyes:

Reason: Can't type neither let alone spell!
Helen - there was a typo, but Peggy has corrected it. The general card swap is mountable card fronts, not full cards.

I am going to for a trip next month and am heading up north..... to Peace River. I'll be going on the long weekend and coming back in time for the EEEIII!
Does any one want any flower-soft stuff.....? I've seen some cards with it but I haven't seen the real thing or tried it. It looks real neat!;)
I don't know the price yet... nor the colors available but the gal said to let her know. So I'm just asking now!
I should have asked Ruth if the containers hold a lot too... maybe we could share the cost/share colors too. But I don't know! Does any one else know anything more?
Let me know and I can pick it up and bring it to EEEIII.
Helen

Hi Deb, Hugs! Talk to you in real life soon!
Thanks! You know I was beginning to wonder if the mind is going ... eyes next...you know the car parts are working .... but the body is wearing out..... got gas though! Put! Put! Put! still driving around!
Regina - I got your hat pins today. I picked up 25 silver and 25 gold. I hope that is what you wanted. If not, you can have what you want and I'll use the rest.
Getting ready for the Oh My Crafts cruise which is on the 10th of May. I'm really not in the right frame of mind right now for this - but it's paid for, so it might do me some good.

Helen, do you have familey in Peace River? I am only 1 hour north of there in Manning. I am not sure what are plans are for the long weekend,. maybe we can get together in PR for coffee. I don't mind the hour drive. Let me know what your schedule is and I will check with DH to see what we are doing. Talk to you soon.

The containers of flower soft go a LONG way....which is nice when you want to split with someone. I have used many colours and they are awesome! Be sure to get the flower soft glue though...it works best for sure.
I used a light lilac colour for a workshop of 20 cards and I have done many for myself and I still have half a container.
Here is my card Thoughts and Prayers. You can see I used quite a bit of it and it has stayed on pretty good.

Oh, yes, you're close by! That's kinda far for coffee!/ tea! I was just going to tell Deb that a change of scenery would do her good! you know relax and breathe in different air. Talk to some new people! Speak some new languages..... it's a new way to look at life sometimes!
Yes, we have family there..... How long have you lived in Manning for now? I was just going up to buy some flower-soft.... really....;) haveta to some stuff like that if you wanna come to town to go shopping!:-D
We 're coming for the weekend...Fri/Sat/Sun and then probably go home on Monday......cause I can always clean house with kids at home!
Thanks Dawn! Now I know a little more.... so you are saying that we can't use regular stuff we have at home for the flower soft? Like mono or elmers and such wouldn't work?
I found a little more information now so I'll stick it on here and then ask if any one wants to share a box.... as I guess it's cheaper that way and then just buy some glue and such. :-D
Just a minute!
Here's the info that I found. The stuff comes in individual jars or mixed jars as well as a whole box of them! Does anyone wanna share in a box..... a whole jar or something....it's cheaper to do that and then buy a glue to go with it. There's a box of pastels and then a box of /brights- rainbow primary colors.
I don't have a preference ! Just wanna try some!
Here's a website with the colors we can get..... but it's in US dollars!
There is a combination box that has hot pink, orange, red, green, yellow, blue and violet plus a project booklet and tip sheet included with it and they will be $36 including taxes. There are two other box sets as well - one that has the mixed colors and the other is pastel colors. They all have 7 jars of flower soft though and I find this to be a more economical way of buying it than individual jars which are $7 - 8 each. I will also be getting in the glue and wires along with a small assortment of toppers and sentiments (there is just so much to choose from!!) Just to give you an idea but check out there web site (it's US pricing but at least you can see what is available) and I can order whatver you would like - no problem
Pin me up Deb!~
Okay.... I gotta ask you.... are you going as a single or a double????;)
I'm going as a double (actually a triple). I'm going with my DH's sister and our mutual friend. It is an Alaskan cruise leaving from Seattle and cruising both ways. On the days that we are at sea, we do classes. Provo Craft, Bazzill, YuDu, Cricut, Cuttlebug, Vinyl Outlet, Scrapbook Trends, Basic Grey are just some of the classes and teachers that we'll have. It'll be a great cruise - lots of freebies given out. I'll bring some of it to EE III to show.

What's the price for one jar in Calgary? I haven't thought that far ahead.... What colors do you want Carrie? I was thinking of getting a box and some glue. and maybe some wires? If any other gals want to just get a jar from a box that would work too. just need some glue. Not sure what else. I was going to drive up north for the weekend and pick up some and bring it back to the city for EEEIII.

I don't think I need a whole box to myself..... now if it is chocolates I could take care of a whole box!
Peggy, Have a fantastic Birthday.....you are only 29 once, so make the best of it.
Helen....where are you buying this flower-soft in Peace River...If that is all you were coming for, I could probably save you a trip and pick it up for you. I have to go through PR to come to Edmonton. It isn't that far, and we also go to PR for groceries...they are a little cheaper there than here in Manning. Let me know you plans.

I think the price of one jar here is 10 bucks. I personally like the mixes but not sure if I should just buy a jar (though 10 is rediculous). What were you hoping to get? Maybe we can figure out a way to split it or something. Send me a pm and we can go from there.
