Hey, I live just down from Nipper's corner (funny name! Still trying to get used to that!) I just moved here from VA. and I live down Edmonson Pike beyond Edmondson Elementary. We've only lived here for 2 months and I would love to get some locals together to stamp!! Another gal I met at the swap lives in the same area. We need to hook-up. Sorry you couldn't make it, but we did have a lot of fun and I know we'll get together again. Great group of ladies and awesome projects! Let's talk! jan

The pen I used is the Gelly Roll Clear Sparkle pen, made by Sakura. I got mine at JoAnn, so it should be easy to find! The paper pieces were SU--the new Halloween Night paper in the Holiday Mini. HTH!
Apparently Joann in Knoxville isn't as great as hers.
I heard Amanda say she got hers there, so I went to ours on Sunday, but no luck. They hardly have any Jelly Pens at all! Ugh! I also tried Michael's, Hobby Lobby and Glenneth is going to AC Moore tonight.
I want that pen!!!

This may not be of any help, but I thought I'd throw it out there...Target and Walmart carry packs of GellyRoll pens in their regular school supplies aisle. There might be a clear one in one of the packs! All the colors are fun to use. Good luck!

Ok, I'm convinced that it is not meant for me to have this pen! Ha,ha! I went to Jerry's Artaromma (yes, that's a real name) Walmart, Target, Staples, Office Depot and back to Joann's last night in search of the elusive thing.
They did finally say at Joann's that they have them, they just don't know where they are. According to the manager, they are either lost in the store or have been shoplifted. Nice.
So, the search continues...

She did try Hobby Lobby. She has tried everything office supply, arts & craft and target/walmart store in town. She has been a very busy girl. Still no such luck. I know Joanns is saying they will order some for us.

We don't really have scrapbook stores. We have Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, etc. I went to the only one we have last night, but no luck. They only have the glaze pens. I looked at the Sakura website and it told me to go to Jerry's Artaramma, but they didn't have them either.

...and you girls are cracking me up! I tell you what. I will check our JoAnn and see if I can locate the elusive Sparkle pen again! If I can find them, I'll buy several and mail them out to all of y'all who have been searching for them!
I had SO much fun meeting everyone. I only wish I could have gone to dinner too! Jan and the other lady who mentioned she lived near Nippers Corner--we should get together! I'm right there too, and have a couple of customers nearby as well!

Mary, The brown spots on the banana came up during dinner. Seven of us went out to dinner after the swap and had a funny conversation with these two sisters. Seems one of the sisters has a banana problem or obsession! ha! The conversation just got really kookie and we just can't let it go! Hey, I can show you the cards since you live near me. I would post, but not sure if everyone would want me to. Banana card w/brown spots.....hmmmm....I think you've inspired something!!!!!! Hope you can make it to our next gathering. ;)

We could all post our own card that we made for the swap. Mine is totally cased though (with permission from the designer).
Ok, and since Jan just outed me :razz: ....Yes, I did buy some control top thongs :shock: . Believe me, it ain't a pretty sight! I mean how in the world do people wear those things? And as far as control top, what a joke! Somehow I managed to look fatter in them :rolleyes: . You all have seen thongs, they don't cover that much so yes, maybe the little patch that had the "control" in it may have been a centimeter or two "tighter" but as for the rest of me that the thong didn't cover.............ok, ok, TMI. But I say, anyone that can get used that little string, I tip my pink cowboy hat to you.:lol:

Howdy from San Antonio, TX. I made it home safe and sound after having a fabulous time with my new TN friends! My sister, Donna also says hello but works way to hard to spend much time on Splitcoast.
I've flipped though my new cards a dozen times and they are all terrific. Thank you to everyone that came to the Shoebox swap and designed such fun cards! And special thanks to Keva who planned the whole thing!
Yes, it is me! I'm the one that has a thing for bananas! But not just any banana--it can't have spots or bruises. Okay, I'll admit I'm particular. And my big question was how do you eat a banana in public anyway?
To all who missed dinner that night, you missed a rip roaring good time. And the food was good, too. I can't wait to meet up with y'all again!
OK, ladies...does anyone still need a Sakura Stardust Jelly Roll pen? 'Cause I found some in JoAnn today and picked them up! Just drop me a PM if you want me to mail you one. And I'd love to get together again soon!
