I registered for SU Convention this morning. This is my 5th convention. They are so much fun. Who else is going from our group? And is there anything on Splitcoast about convention. Like Swaps or get togethers. I can't seem to find anything. I'm doing a Shoebox on Wednesday July 30 with Sudsol. I'm with Track 11. Because that is my Birthday Day. Hope you are doing lots of STamping.
Do I have to sign up somewhere to get on the Convention Chatter. It said I didn't have permission to access the site. I am a member of Splitcoast. I paid my $25. Convention is going to be fun. I'm going to make a bunch of Dog Cards. I sent some with my friend for Regionals and they were chasing her down to get a Dog Card. I'm busy making Cardstock Flower Boxes for my Flowers. My Bishop boought my flowers for Mothers Day. 120 of my precious Violas. They smell so good and they are so pretty. So I'm decorating my 4" pots up. You just can't give a plain old pot. I Love my Scor-Pal. It makes these boxes easy. I haven't had a chance to use my Cuddlebug yet. But I will.

Ron was supposed to go home today but he spiked a temp so they are keeping him to make sure everything is okay. It may be just the vaccine they gave him. He was sure disappointed as I was too but better to catch it before he went home.
Sorry he wasn't able to come home last night. He'll be outta there before you know it! I am LOVING the picture of you two!! How cute is that!!

Thanks for the Congrats on my card on Stampers Showcase. Michelle called me up today and said it was on Sunday. Wow. I've been on about 6 times. They must like my cards. WaHoo. I'm working on a Horse Card now. We do a card swap everymonth due on the 15th. And then Tessa sends them to Stampin'Up. It's so awesome.
Rachel thanks for sending my Pink Marker back with a Beautiful card. it was a good thing I put my Initials on my Marker. Thanks again. There always seems to be something lost of misplaced or forgotten. Have fun stampin Girls. I just made 120 stamped 4" pot boxes for mothers day to put my flowers in for my church. They turned out so cute. The Scor-Pat worked beautifully.
Ron is home from the hospital. He came home Monday evening. He is happy to be home too. He has got to go to therapy now. Thank you for the cards and prayers. I couldn't have got thru this without all my family and friends.
I picked you up on another convention thread. This is your first convention? How long have you been a demonstrator? You sure do good work. I finally got on the convention chatter under events. I guess I've been living under a rock. I missed the signup for the SCS dinner. That is closed. But I had already singed up for a shoebox Swap on Wednesday of convention last March. it is from a Merle Bennett from Canada. Then I found another ShoeboxSwap and Pajama Party that on Friday. I signed up for that one. You could come to convention for a week and go to all the Swap and Parties and have a good old time. I also found my Track 11 Thread. Boy these girls are having a good time. We are doing a 3D Swap at Lunch on Friday. We are also having a surprise Birthday party for a girl that has never had a Birthday party. That should be lots of fun. I will also do the Swap with Sudsol. I have belonged to that group for about 2 years. They have excellent Business Stuff and helps. With all this stuff going on What a RIOT.
Now to get down to the bag. This is my 5th convention. I have found that a Back Pack with wheels is the easiest. You don't want to carry heavey stuff all day long. And I do mean heavy. We usually get 4 stamp sets plus all the make and take stuff and catalogues. Then if you have your Swaps it gets really heavy. of course you have to have your snacks etc. I found it is alot easier not to have to carry anything. After I learned the hard way after about 3 conventions. I'm on Track 11. I chose tht because I turn 60 on August 11. And 11 is my lucky number.
July will be my 2 year anniversary as a demo, so I could have gone for the last two years but didn't. My baby was just too little. This year my husband told me I should do it! I am really excited--I think you're right, it's just a week-long party! We need to find each other so we can swap!
That's good advice about the bag. I've been kind of looking for a rolling backpack, but I haven't found anything I really like yet. Any advice where to buy one?
I'm so excited that you're going to convention. You are going to have a Great Time. The Swapping is beyond your imagination. My first convention was in Las Vegas with 7000 demonstrators. it was great. I still wasn't feeling well and it was my first real trip in 5 years. But I had a great time. My husband went with me because I couldn't travel by myself at that time. The next 2 were in Salt Lake. I stayed with my sister but she yelled at me. So I won't stay with my family anymore. Then last year I went to Denver all by myself. It was a test to see if I could do it. it was a great mile stone for me. I had a great time. I love to travel and the stroke did me in for awhile. So this year I'm traveling by myself and staying with a gal I just found yesterday from Arizona. This is going to work out great.
I bought a School Back Pack with rolling wheels. I have really used it for all my trips for the last 3 years. I have to buy a new one this year. Wait until July when the school stuff comes out. And I bet you can find one. it's kind of nice that it is soft so that you stuff it into places. it has lots of pockets and holds lots of stuff so you don't have to carry it. I will give you my cell phone number when I figure out how to use it. I'm getting cell phone lessons. Then we can find each other. I have Michelle my demonstrator going also. So we will all need a cell phone. I went one year and didn't even see my Boise people for 3 days. The Salt Palace is a big place. It will be great to Swap out with you. I will save you a swap of each for you. Which I don't know how many yet. I'm actually waiting for the Retired list. The ladies will not swap with you if you have a retired stamp card or paper. We are going to be the Party Harty group. Track 11.
Hey ladies my little girl will turn 3 on July 10th she loves getting mail and would love to get cards in the mail.
Whenever she gets a card she keeps it she puts it in her book shelf with her books she loves her cards .
So if any one has time to drop a card in the mail for her she would love it.
Pm me for my address if you want to send one.
Thank you

I just came across this thread, and would love to attent your next event! I've been a demonstrator for a little over 3 years, and just found out my upline is "retired" from SU! :( I miss the interaction with fellow demonstrators.
I had a great time at Convention. Saw Amy a few times. She was always swapping. of course I was too. Learned so much. I also went to 2 shoebox swaps. Wow you could stamp all week. Had a great time in Las Vegas for my 60th Birthday. it was Glorious.
Ii's time to start planning our next SWISS 7. Do we need to start looking for a place to hold our Shoebox Swap. They are so much fun. And you sure do learn alot. I can always help out.
Happy Stamping. Edith - Queen Lilac - Glitterella

I would be glad to help with the shoebox swap 7 if you need any help. I'm in the process of looking for a place for our Red Hat Swap. We had to cancel it in February because we were all snowed in. And the Queens have been bugging me about it ever since. I do have a request. Don't Plan our SWISS 7 on October 17-18. BeBop the Clown is coming for a workshop for the Clowns. i plan on clowning after the workshop. I'm getting well enough. I still have to make my clown costume. You girls Rock. I really like Amy's quote "I Swap, therefore I am." She really swapped at convention. I also did. I participated in a 75 card swap with Sudsol on our Friday Lunch. it was awesome. WAHOO. I have all my swaps for 7 years. I guess I should swap them out. 5 or those are convention swaps.
Have fun stamping. i did buy the Big Shot from convention. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I will.
