CLOSED! It’s time for our Spring 2009 get-together!
We will be meeting at the Deer Flat LDS church in Kuna on Friday, May 15th from 5 o'clock pm through 10:00 pm.
The cost will be $5, which will reserve your spot and cover some munchies and various meeting supplies and costs. Please send your payments by April 28th to my Paypal address <[email protected]> or pm me for my address to mail a check. Your payment will reserve your place.
We have a limit of 22 people, so that will be first-paid, first admitted.
And now, to the swap!
Please plan your swap to take no longer than 10 minutes, so that everyone gets a chance to finish up. You'll need to bring:
Your shoebox swap including all supplies needed to complete it. Please prepare a supply packet (can be a sandwich bag or something similar) for each person. There a FEW outlets available for embossing.
You will need to bring:
a completed version of your swap for a sample
Your own scissors
your own adhesive
A stamping related doorprize ($5 in value--can be handmade or purchased) for the drawing. Everyone will go home with a prize!
Protective mat for the table surface (like an acrylic stamping mat, or grid paper).
a stamp cleaner (suggestion)
A sack dinner (there is a microwave available)
Your own drink/s with a lid.
Directions to church:
South on Meridian Road. Make a right at the light at Deer Flat Road. The church is right next door to the high school. Park in the first driveway. If you get to the Linder Rd. stop light you've gone too far.
If you have any questions, please post them here!
Thanks, Sue

Wahoo a ShoeBox Swap. I think May 15th will work for me. I do accompany a Suzuki Violin Group again on that day. I don't get done until 5:30 at the Caldwell Library. So I will be late. Probably more like 6:00. I get paid to play the piano for this group. I won't get lost again. I now have GPS. WAHOO. So sign me up. Gee I can't do an EAT CAKE CARD. It's been retired. Thank you so much SUE for setting up our Shoe Box Swap. Need any help? Send me your address so I can send you a fun card and a check. WAHOO.

Stamping the night away

How did that happen that you get to do your 4th grade field trip? I haven't even started on my swap card yet. I will Sunday. I have been making flower pot boxes for the flowers I sell to my church for Mothers Day. All 125 of them. Yes they are rolled with the big jumbo Stampinup Rollers with a fancy edge and a tag. Yes they have been fun. But you just can't give a flower in an ugly pot. Our SWISS 8 is going to be fun. I'm going to use my GPS to find the LDS church. I won't get lost this time.
Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!! It's TOMORROW?!! Wow, time flies!

What a great swap ladies and what a creative bunch! Kudos to Sue for spearheading. I'm already looking forward to our next gathering in the fall.
I left my gift exchange bag at the table where we all made the SMILE!! foldout project. It contained a couple of the cards made at that table plus a set of Chalk VersaMark TearDrop ink pads, some dimensionals, and Fiskar Fasteners. I'm hoping one of you noticed it was left behind and took it home with you. If so, please email me and I'll arrange to pick it up. I felt like I was missing somethnng but didn't realize what it was until this morning.
I had a great time! Thanks to those who planned it...Sue and Celeste. Once again, we had such a fun variety of cards! It was fun to see everyone again! Can't wait until the fall get together!
It is always fun to get together and share ideas and stories. Even though I was late I was able to do all the cards. Now I need to put some together. I didn't get lost going home. I can't believe I got lost again. I know it's funny and you can laugh all you want to. I will pay closer attention. My life is a real adventure. I'm going to make a bunch of the Butterfly cards. The projects were fantastic. You girls ROCK.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made extra kits to send in to the hospital for me. The cards are all so cute, and I have loved having a project to keep me busy. I wish I could've been there, and I will plan on seeing everybody in the fall. THANKS AGAIN! You are all so sweet.
