I've had a few people ask about the number for the card swap and tell me they don't want to do 35-40 so they may drop out. Would it be helpful if we had 2 groups of 15-20?
If you signed up for the swap please let us know (post to the thread or e-mail Joy) which you prefer...swap with everyone no matter how many...or swap 20 max. If you are dropping out of the swap entirely then please let Joy know right away so she can adjust the number.
Jyll - I'm sorry you're going through a rough time. I sure am looking forward to seeing you!
I don't remember if I signed up for the swap or not, but two smaller groups sounds best to me. I'm also worried about making a huge amount so a smaller number is much better.
I can't wait to meet everyone! Anyone from San Diego want to carpool? I'd be happy to drive and can take 6 others.
I think 40 sounds manageable, but splitting it up would be much more manageable!!!;)
(I do need your hugs and prayers. My sweet, silly Daddy has inoperable, untreatable liver cancer. He is physically wasting away and won't be here much longer; but he still keeps his sense of humor and his hope that he will be miraculously cured-don't ya love him!! I do love him so much, and it is hard to watch him suffer and, on a very selfish note, it's hard to imagine my life without his laughter and encouragement.)

Hopefully I will be able to swap with everyone, so 40 is fine with me. First I have to get ready for Vegas though. Haven't even started those swaps yet. I might do 2 different cards for So Cal as I get tired of making too many of the same one. Thanks for all your work on this event.
I think breaking it up into two groups would be fine. Although...if you do I would LOVE to sign up for both groups if possible.
My husband just brought up a point...if there are a few people in both groups, those in both groups would end up getting duplicates from those people right??

I'm heading to Vegas so I'm caught up in thinking about that swap, YIKES! After I get back then I'll know better my capabilities! A split swap sounds good, and definately count me in for one swap at this point! Arlynn
OK.... I just sent out e-mails, but I got a bunch of them returned.... so I'm not sure who all it went out to, but please let me know what type of swap you are interested in....
If you would like to just post your preference here, that would be fine. If not, please e-mail me at joyarevalo(at)gmail(got)com.
Correction on my registration .... it's crn5731 (#64 on the reg list). I would be fine with 2 swap groups but would probably like to particpate in both groups.
Thanks
Carrie
Anyone from SoCal StampMania going to the Carson Convention this weekend. It would be nice to meet someone before StampMania. I will be there in the AM.
Irene there are a few of us talking about going - probably arriving around 10:30. PM me if you'd like to hook up. I can give you my cell # - maybe you could have lunch with us.
Tomorrow is the last day to register! You can still do it via e-mail and Paypal. Joy is getting ready for a trip so please don't delay. We don't want anyone to miss out.
I believe we still have a few spots for dinner so if you did not sign up for dinner but would like to add it now please contact Joy ASAP! I promise you that you will not want to miss out on dinner! If you don't sign up for it you will be sad when the afternoon draws to a close! Don't worry about not knowing anyone - you will by then!!!!
Hello Everyone:
I was wondering has a decision been made on the amout of swaps being swapped. Why don't we just swap like convention style for example if 40 people are going to swap and all you want to make is 20 swaps then you will swap with 20 people. If you want to make two different sets of 10 cards then do that. I was just wondering what had been decided because I have a few committments going and need to get started. Thanks Las Vegas Bound For Regionals This evening. Tai

I'm going to the convention in Carson on Saturday with Samwich and we'd love to meet some of you if it works out. We will be there about 10:30. Let me know if you've made any plans! (PMing me would probably be best because I'm not a faithful follower of threads).

This sounds like a good idea.
I'm also wondering what has been decided for swapping. I need to get started!
While you are waiting for a number on the swaps today maybe everyone can get to work on your name tags! Don't forget everyone must bring their own name tag with both your real name and your SCS screen name on it. There will be a contest and a prize for everyone's favorite name tag!
OK girls, we have 50 people signed up for the swaps. So, I need to break it up into 2 groups. So, 25/group.
I will let you all know which group you are in at a later date. But, the important thing is that you need to make 25.
Unfortunately, because there are so many signed up, we couldn't accomodate having people join both swaps. So, with that said, if any of you would like to bring EXTRA swaps to swap with those that are not in your swap group, that would be great.
