S. IL. 2nd Card Frenzy (shoebox swap) June 28, 2008
We are planning our 2nd splitcoast stamper's "card frenzy" for the Southern Illinois area. We will have to limit this to around 25 people as space is limited.
Where: Calvary Bible Church-1649 S. Cherry St-West Frankfort IL
Date: June 28, 2008
Time: 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Deadline for sign up: June 14th
The fee will be $25. (non refundable) This will include breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks.
As all of you know, that attended last year, the food was yummy.
Everyone will need to bring enough card kits for each person registered to come to the event, plus two extra that are completed. One to be donated to our soldiers to send home to their families and the other one will be entered into our card contest ( Top 3 to receive prize). These cards should be able to be made in about 15 minutes. Please have all supplies in baggies with paper cut and ready to stamp. Try to have atleast one embellishment for your card. Please use card stock for your cards. No construction paper, please.
We will have a special gallery on Splitcoast set up for everyone to upload their cards and pictures from this event.
You are welcome to make yourself a special name tag, if you like or we will have the sticker type tags available for you.
This year we will have a theme of "Tropical Paradise". I know some like to have a theme to know how to plan their card. If you do not want to do your card in tune with the theme, that is ok, too.
Rummage sale tables will be provided for any stamps or stamping tools you no longer want and would like to sell. You are responsible for collecting your money for these items. All items need to have a paper with with them with your name on it. - We will need to know if you want a table reserved for you. All current "Stampin
Up" stamp sets will be for trade only.
I know that Becky has sent out emails regarding this event to everyone who attended last year and we already have several who have committed to coming. We had a wonderful time last year and I think our 2nd year is going to be even better. Lots of prizes and games.
If you are interested in attending you may p.m. me and I will see that a registration form is emailed to you. It must be returned by mail with your fee enclosed.
This should be a fun event for all participants. Please let me know if you have any questions. Hoping to see all of you again, plus some new faces.

Hey, Shirley I can't wait for this years shoebox swap. Everyone who came last year had such a great time and if anyone went home hungry something was really wrong with them. I have used so many of the ideas from the cards from last years swap that I wouldn't miss this for anything. I hope everyon joins quickly before we run out of spaces.
Jessie, I am so glad that you will be joining us. It will be fun to finally get to meet you. I did see where you attended the TX (I think it was that one) swap. Bet that was great. Didn't I see your picture with Cammie? She is so sweet.

Their is no restrictions of layers or products. We ask that it does have one embellishment such as a ribbon, brad, button, etc.. You may add more if you like.
I have had some responses from some ladies saying they don't have tropical stamps. You do not have to do something related to tropical if you don't want to. Some ladies prefer to have a theme to make their cards by. Make what type you like. We don't want to make this hard, we want it to be fun for you.
I think that would be awesome!! At Arlington a lot of the ladies designed their name tags to match their cards, and it was so cool!! Getting excited, let me know if you need any help, I live really close to WF and can help with anything you all need!!

I never thought of making one to match our cards. I made one that went with my SCS name. That is a cool idea.
Thanks for the offer of help. I am sure they did a lot of neat things at the one in TX. We are open to any suggestions or ideas.

I will certainly do that. Actually I am working on getting the form out to the others today, as well. I don't know Patty, but I will be happy to meet her.

Spots are going fast, I figured they would the way word got around about the great time we had last year. Everyone is still talking about the food. The prizes were great and everyone's cards were so creative.
