What about end of Sept.? and i looked on travelocity and a flight and room combo was $600ish. That was at an embassy suites (and they have an awesome free breakfast and happy hour), but i dont know the area to know if it was in a good location or not kwim?

What fun! What about a scrapbook retreat? Like Branson, MO? I have been to a few here in Minnesota and Wisconsin and they are so economical with great accommodations? Just an idea....

I would prefer unisex and more a tunic length.. actually I would prefer buying my own shirt then I know that I like the fit and the length and could send it for screen printing OR... I also like doing the design-your-own with an artist at the mall here....

Hmmm...isn't a retreat more for scrapbookers?? I mainly only do cards. Is there more to do there than scrapbook?? I have never been to one so excuse the lack of knowledge...LOL

This is why I think everyone should just buy their own t-shirts and have them made.. This way everyone can get the style they like.. and the color.. Just as long as they say Piffers Unite Fall 2011 on the front.. or something like that

I think this might be getting a little "bigger" then what we/I initially had the idea of. This being the FIRST time we meet one another in person I thought it would be good just to get together and meet one another in person have dinner that night, shop the next day in the surrounding stores, and maybe have a shoebox swap/party one night. Just my thoughts
Jen...that is exactley what I was hoping for. Something a little laid back so that we can get together and get to know each other. I know I will not get much stamping done with so many wonderful people to chat with.
I think a small shoebox swap would be perfect. We could each make a project or card and bring enough supplies for everyone to do one.
If we share rooms then the hotel charges should not be that much. I know we can get up to 4 people in a room with 2 on air mattresses. I don't mind sleeping on one if anyone wants to share.

I never get anything done.. LOL I also hate trying to think up what I might want to create that weekend and try to think of all the things I need to buy.

Sorry, Jen - hope i didn't step on toes. I was just throwing ideas out that I had done and thought were fun and were economical. I would probably have to sleep in my truck cuz I am not sleeping with the bed bugs in hotels! Hehehehe...
but remember we are not all cardmakers.....LOL..i like the idea of a ss thing...and a big supper and getting to know you evening...

Nope.. no toes stepped on If this becomes an annual thing, then a retreat might be a great option for future trips. (for those that actually work on things when they meet! ) LMBO
