Ooh! you're only about 45 minutes from me! I'm excited, closest one yet that I met on SCS. East Berlin is south of Dillsburg. We should get together sometime! I see you have two boys, how old? I have a DD that will be 2 a month from today and I'm expecting #2 in March. We have friends who lived in Duncannon for 5 years and sold their house to move closer to family, but haven't been able to find a home they like that suits so they are living with family. They are looking in you're area.
Oh how fun, you are the closest to me that I have met too. ;-)
I have two boys a 4 and 2 year old. I work full time in Harrisburg on 2nd St. I graduated from Greenwood which is in Millerstown. I have family that lives in Grantham.
Wow, this is great!! Do you ever attend local crops or anything of the sort?
I work full-time (self-employed) a half mile from home. We are currently working 6 days a week. I graduated from York College. We'll be at Williams Grove all of labor day weekend, which is right near grantham!
I have never attended a local crop because I never had anyone to go with. Also, I am so far behind in scrapping that I have SOOO much stuff to go through every time I scrap. I am a SU! demo and teach classes out of my home. I've been trying to get regular scrap nights going (and did for a little bit when I belonged to a mommy's group, but I had a difference of opinion with them and left) so I'm always looking for people to scrap with me. I currently have all my stamping/scrapping supplies in a 9x15 spare bedroom that will be changed in the next few months to move in DD and then the nursery will be in her old room. When I designed my house to be built, I left a bonus room upstairs that is 20x56 unfinished with the intention of moving my scrap room and a play room for the kids into some day. Looks like that will be happening sooner rather than later now! It's going to have the bare necessities to get us through for a while as we were never expecting to concieve a 2nd child so quickly after it took us more than 4 years for the first. Funny, I used to work on 2nd street in wormleysburg for about 4 months back in 2003. I'm 28.
Hello everyone in PA! I'm in Chambersburg and have met a few of you. I just wanted to point out this get together Susan (StampinGoodDeeds) is putting on. Some of you maybe close enough to join us.

cupojafa and mnewby~a lunch date sound great! I'm generally free on Sundays. I may be able to do a saturday afternoon if I can get someone to watch DD. I work till noon though, so couldn't leave before then on Saturdays. Sundays I'm open.
I am just thinking about this, not really ready to commit yet but I wanted to see if there was any interest before I decided. I thought I might set up a Christmas card shoebox swap (which is funny because I have never done one and don't really know how to do it LOL!) around the cranberry area. Maybe around early November before everyone gets busy during the holidays. There is a room for rent (I don't think it is very costly) at the Mars library and I thought I would collect a small fee to cover that and some basic supplies like coffee and doughnuts. Anyone interested?
Your shoebox swap sounds wonderful, but Cranberry is more than 3 hours for me, a little farther than I can go for a day trip. I hope you get lots of takers though, it seems like a fairly large group is near you around Pittsburgh. Good Luck!
Would be up for the cranberry swap depending on which day it is, I work Saturdays occasionally but if I'm not working I would love to come! Will be happy to chip in money and help you set up if you want.
subbing...interested in a shoebox swap as well. Will travel - Pittsburgh or Philadelphia needs to be a long weekend but I'm game. Harrisburg isn't that far for a day swap either.
Any more interested in a shoebox swap,Southcentral PA? I am able to fit about 8 in my garage with moving around room, will provide water, coffee or tea,and some munchies, maybe everyone could bring a snack.Great time to complete or even start Christmas cards, tags, whatever.
Hey there! I'm in Middletown which is just outside of Harrisburg. It looks like there are quite a few of us in the area. I would be up for a get together!! Weekends are bad for me though I work 4p-12a. So it would have to be an earlier get together or maybe I can play hookie. ;)

My in-laws live in Slippery Rock. I am in Berks County, PA, but we will be visiting them the end of November for a few days (after Thanksgiving). Maybe we could get together for some stampy-time if you are interested.

Hello, stampers! I am resurrecting this older thread because I'm moving to Pittsburgh in just a few weeks! I'll be living in the McCandless area. If anyone wants to get together to stamp (or just to go out to lunch or a coffee) please send me a PM! Also, I'll need the inside scoop on the best local places to shop (no Archivers in Pittsburgh? wah!).
I'm in south central PA between Harrisburg, York and Gettysburg. I have a private 20x40 studio in my home with a separate bathroom and Four 6 ft tables, one 8 ft table and 3 2x4 tables. I'd love to host something if anyone is interested. I can mostly do weekends though at this time of the year, maybe a wednesday during the winter.
I am about 40 minutes North of Pittsburgh but honestly, afraid to drive into "the big city"! Would be happy to meet you in Robinson sometime for tea/coffee/chatting. Two stores locally for crafting, Scrapbook Super Station in Butler and Stamp Fanci in Wexford if ever you want to take a little drive.

I checked on Mapquest, and it looks like Stamp Fanci is just ten minutes from my house! woo hoo!
I seriously need to meet y'all after my move! I really had no crafty friends here in Indy, which was such a shame. My new house has a big den with built-ins that will be my future craft room, and I can't wait to get started!
I am North of Pittsburgh too, a little town called Monaca in Beaver County but I work in Robinson Town Center so that might be a good place for all of us to meet sometime. I am off most weekends. There is also the cardmaking/scrap convention in Monroeville in July, might be fun to go that together. I have no crafty friends here either so would be great to have people to meet up with!

Is this the Stamp Scrap Art Tour you speak of in Monroeville (Pittsburgh)? I'm so tickled to be working that show! I've never had the pleasure of visiting PA, so I'm really looking forward to this one. Would love to meet some PA SCS'ers there for sure!

You have GOT to make Stamp Fanci a priority when you move!!! Margi (the owner) is such a sweetie. With the so much variety being available online I honestly don't know how much longer she will stay open. The sign on the front window says "a stamper's paradise" and it truly, truly is!!!
Each May she has an annual used stamp sale as well (this years it is 5/19 9 - 11; rain or shine). Great prices on stuff!!!!
I live about 30 minutes from "dawntawn" and work at a lawfirm "dawntawn".
Would love to hook up if my schedule permits!!
Now I am super excited! I'll have to add a trip to Monroeville on my calendar! Bev, we will get something organized by then, I promise!
It would be a treat to meet you, Maryrose! It's unlikely that I'll be able to do more than visit at the booth itself, as I'm at the mercy of the company owners when we leave for dinner & hotel, etc. ;) However, I truly adore getting to meet SCS'ers at shows for sure! Looking forward!!
I will be selling stuff at the used stamp sale at stamp fanci if anyone is going. I cleared a lot of stuff out of my craft room and I have a couple cricuts for sale!
