Hello, new to site but not to stamping!
love to go to retreats or get togethers? Anything planed for Ohio this summer?
Welcome to SCS!! There are a few of us in Wayne and Medina counties who are spending more and more time stamping together! I hosted a shoebox swap back in February, and am planning another one in the early fall, although I may weaken and have it over the summer instead. There are also a few of us meeting at my house this weekend, and in May to stamp together!
Tammy....when are you getting together in May?? (nothing like inviting myself!!!) LOL!!! Have all my stuff ready for the shoebox swap in Massilon this weekend. I've been signed up for it for sooo long now and it is almost here! YEA!!

The gathering in May is nothing formal. I just offered up my house for anyone that wants to spend several hours chatting, laughing, having fun, and oh yeah, stamping! Bring your own things as far as paper, embellishments, etc. I have all the classic ink pads, and everyone can use those. Bring your stamps, and be willing to share. We could do something more organized if that's what everyone wants, or just bring whatever you're currently working on. This is going to be Saturday, May 20th. Not sure that we've designated a starting time yet...probably early afternoon until whenever we're tired of each other! I'm planning a stamp camp for my customers on May 23rd, so if no one wants to do something specific, I'll probably spend my time getting prepared for that. Orrville-person....what's your real name? Where do you live in Orrville? Just curious!

AAHH!! May 20th is Medina's prom and I am helping decorate for the afterprom in the afternoon on Friday the 19th and all day on May 20th....doesn't it figure???!!! Oh well, another time then. Have a great weekend!

That's cool! All you have to do is skip across Back Massillon Road, and go north on 94 to get to Marshallville!

I am in NW Ohio, in Tiffin. About an hour south of Toledo and two hours north of Columbus.
I am excited to see so many of us!! (even tho my heart belongs in Michigan).
Hey I found a house and moving to Wadsworth next month! It's great to see so many stampers in the area....is there something planned for July yet Tammy? I remember talking about the in another Ohio thread somewhere... shoe box swap? maybe i'll look for it tonight.

I just accepted a new position & we'll be moving to Ohio- Canton / Akron area next month. I'm really excited about my new position but I'm going to miss all of my stamping and scrapbooking buddies. I looked thru this thread but since I don't know my OH geography yet, I'm not sure how close I'm going to be to some of you who posted? Are you still having the get-together in July? It would be fun to meet new stampin' friends & I thought this would be a great place to do that.

I'm in Piqua and will start to have a FREE crop once a month beginning in July. Anyone is welcome to join me. I will demo some Su products and help poeple who are less familiar with stamping and scrapping to complete pages and just chat and have fun. It usually runs the 3rd friday of the month and is from 5pm to midnight. If anyone is interested PLEASE PM ME so i can give you more details and get a basic head count in order to secure a big enough space

I wanted to bump this thread, in hopes of finding a stamping friend Here's my story.
I live in Tipp City, Ohio, right off of I75. Pretty close to West Milton, Troy, Huber Heights, Casstown (grew up there), Christiansburg, Piqua, about 45 minutes away from St. Paris, Urbana-(have family there and in West Liberty) I am close to Dayton ohio, about 20 miles north, but am scared to drive through dayton. I don't know why, I just get really scared when I see lots of semi's and construction.
I started stamping back in 1999, My best friend introduced me to stamping. She was a SU demo, and we had a BLAST together. Our kids were close in age, so we got together at least 3 times a week just to stamp. Our hubbys were great friends too, so it was perfect. Then she moved to Arkansas, and I lost my stamping buddy :( It's been years, and I haven't found a stampin friend yet, but would love to have one ! I always had it in my mind that she would move back close by.
I signed up as a SU demo when she left for 2 reasons, to save money (at that time, I didn't know of any other demo) and to make new friends. I have since gave up demoing, for a number of reasons. I want to enjoy stamping like I did when my friend Tam was here, but I just can't find the inspiration anymore.
My hubby and I have 5 children, and they keep me pretty busy. (all 6 of them) 3 boys and 2 girls, the girls are 17 & 18, boys are 6, 10, and 15. I am hoping that one of these days, I will meet someone else who has children in the same age range as mine, and also loves stamping, isn't partial to a particular company, and is also looking for someone to get together with and just stamp for no reason at all, just to enjoy stamping.
I have recently discovered the angel company, and I am loving this idea. I love to stamp, and it doesn't matter to me where the stamp came from, but I am a color book fan, love elegant stamps that require a lot of coloring
If there is anyone out there close by, and would like to get together to stamp, contact me! I don't know why I didn't think of looking here sooner, but I guess I assumed all stampers lived south of I70, and I was a lone duck. I would love to attend an all nighter, but I work 3rd shift, 365 days a year, and I will probably never get a day off! But will stay awake all day long to stamp

Woohoo! I was SO excited to see your posts! Headed off to check out the thread you sent me ... I'm already working in OH, I stay during the week in Copley (Extended Stay). As soon as we sell our house, we're moving into the area, hopefully b4 school starts so the boys can start in school in OH. Hopefully our budget will cover a large enough house for a finished basement or extra room for a scrapping room and everyone can come over soon! Keep me posted on upcoming events!
