Are you getting an itch to do a Shoebox Swap as much as I am? I thought what a good time to do one with preorder out June 1 and we should all have our new catalogs by this time so we will have fun things to talk about. What a perfect time to do a swap!
I want to do it a little different this time. I know with all the new stuff coming out, gas prices and life is tough in general I want to make it as cheap as possible for all of us. So I am only charging $10 per person-this will cover the $50 church rental fee, it will buy plates, napkins, cutlery, pop and water. If there is money left over I will refund the difference to everyone in attendence. I am not doing any door prizes I am not providing any meats unless money is left over which we can decide as a group. I don't mind picking up lunch meats. I am asking everyone to bring some type of dish for lunch. The area we have is not near a kitchen so it needs to be brought in a cooler or a warmer (sorry). I am not going to provide breakfast food either. Between breakfast and door prizes I think this is where a lot of extra cost comes into play and that is not important to me. What is important is your attendence and ideas.

You will be designing a full card using Stampin' Up! current product only, cutting enough for each participant to replicate your work, and will bring home a great assortment of beautiful hand-stamped cards. No envelopes necessary. It will be fun to see what you all create since there's a new catalog with beautiful new stamps to choose from! (The set you choose does not have to be new, as long as it is in the current catalog.)
Please bring a dish to share as we will enjoy a potluck lunch. Refrigeration not available but power outlets are available. If you are need of coffee there is a UDF really close. **it would be nice if you could make a table tent with your recipe of your dish so we can copy it if wanted.
** optional 3D swap ** This swap is for anything 3 dimensional and requires that you bring already completed swaps for the total number of participants. Please contact us should you have any questions about this optional swap.
Registration forms and the swap guidelines are attached to this thread. Please download these attachments and read through the information. Your registration form and fee are due to me no later than June 11, 2011. We hope to see you all there!
A garage sale/swap table will be available at the Shoebox Swap! Feel free to bring retired Stampin' Up! items, cards, 3D items, etc. and label them with your name and price. Everyone is welcome to bring their own items for sale or trade. Start digging through your stash now!
Sounds like fun. I am going to convention and making 500 swaps, so let me get a few things finished before I commit to something else, but I am very interested and want to join and meet other demos in the area.
