I don't live in Columbus, but, depending on the weekend, would love to participate. My weekends can be pretty full, but with enough notice, I should be able to pull it off! It would be fun.
Hello ladies our family is moving this summer to the Dayton area and I am subbing in to meet people and get familliar with the ladies on SCS. We are making a huge jump from Germany to Ohio so I have no idea what area's you ladies are talking about but I'll dig out a map and try to keep up.

Hi, Tasha! Welcome to O-H-I-O! It's an OSU Buckeyes thing, but if anyone ever yells: "O-H" at ya, just yell "I-O" back! lol! Dayton is roughly an hour, hour and a half from Columbus. I'd suggest looking up Audrey (hippieaud) - she's in Beavercreek which is a suburb of Dayton (she's an awesome lady!!). Good luck with your move!
Thanks for the info Toni, I will be on the look out for crazy people. I've heard pleanty about beavercreek so it shouldn't be too hard to find. But it would be nice to know someone.
I live about 25 miles outside of Canton area - south/east. I lived in Massillon for about 5 years prior to getting married and moving into a very Rural area. I still have family and friends in the Massillon/Canton area and would love to meet up with another card-maker/scrapbooker. PM if you might be interested. I do have a 2 year old DS- so I would have to find a sitter or drop him off at my sisters in Massillon before meeting up. I do have a craft room in my home but I truly live in the middle of no-where- so I can't imagine someone wanting to travel to my place, but I do have plenty of room!
I read thru all the posts in this thread and see no-one really in my direct area except people from Canton or Stark co. I really am not very far from there about 45 minutes or so but I live in rural, ohio in Jefferson Co right on the Carroll Co line. I am very interested in meeting up with any other papercrafters. I am in Stark Co quite often and don't mind traveling there at all since I have family around.
Is ther anyone in Jefferson Co/ Carroll Co/ Harrison Co. areas? If so PM me
I was starting to think that I am on the wrong side of Ohio with all these ladies in the Dayton and Toledo area. :P Then I got to page 3 of posts and found all these wonderful ladies in my area.
I'm in Dover and would love a stampin' friend.

Well, I'm not exactly a neighbor, but not too far. I'm in Ravenna (Portage County), northeast of Akron, so a bit more than an hour from you. Bolek's Crafts (beads, etc.) is in Dover, I think?

You'll have to let me know when you get here in Dayton. Would love to meet ya! We have a couple of great scrap stores, but are close to fab museums, shopping, restaurants,... If hubby likes baseball, the Dragons are here and are having another great season! The Philharmonic, and Dayton Art Institute, as well as the Children's Museum and Air Force Museum are family favorites.

That's pretty much right down the street from me. It would be about half a mile if the bridge wasn't out between my side of the river and theirs. Nice to meet you.
Anybody going to the CKC scrapbook convention in Cincinnati, OH Sept 11 and 12?
Never have been to a CKC convention but the August Stampaway in Sharonville is awesome! I been to it many times over the years and always over buy, lol.
Hello all stampers in the Dayton area! A group of us are planning another fall showbox swap in early October at Wright Pat...stay tuned for more details to come in the next few weeks (or sooner!!!!) Hope to see you all there!!

Hi Columbus Girls! I see back in older posts you were trying to meet up for a night of stamping. Did that ever pan out? I'd love to join you guys some time!
As far as I'm aware, nothing has ever gotten organized. I would suggest Archiver's at Easton as they have the tables available to use, as long as we do it before their nighttime crop starts...at least I believe that's how it works there. Does anyone have a preference of what day (Saturday or Sunday) and what weekend they'd want to do it? I'd be willing to check with Archiver's to see what their policies are. Unless someone else has a big enough house or knows of a scrapbook store or whatever that we can use?
Maggie

I'm from Central Ohio and I'll be at Stampaway USA on Saturday in the Verses booth from 1-5 helping out. Would love to met those of you that will be there!
Suzanne Dean is starting Copic on the road classes and I was thinking of hosting one here in the Canton area of Ohio, I would need to have 15 people for her class before I could actually do it. I am thinking of making it an all day or 2 day event with possibly other classes and all day cropping/fun. Talking late witner or early spring, would anyone be interested.

I'm interested! If it's on a weekend, for sure. During the week, depends on vacation time, blah, blah, blah...you know the drill.
Oh, and I live in Ravenna, work in Akron, so Canton is very do-able for me.

Gosh, this would be awesome! I've take a couple of beginning Copic classes with Tammy at Toyrifix and would love to learn more! With enough notice (a month or so), I'm quite certain I can make it. Count me in!!!!
I live in North Canton, work in Akron and am in the process of moving (URGH!) to Massillon!
I can't believe you're going to make me wish for winter! LOL
Are you near Ohio (I am about 70 miles from Pittsburgh)
I live now in Uniontown, PA which is south of Pittsburgh but I grew up in Jackson Township near the new Buehlers. I go back to visit my mom at the old homestead frequently and will just plan a visit when you have the class. Where do you think you will hold it? My DH bought me a set of 36 for my birthday and I would love to learn to use them better. Karen M (aka mimsymarie)
I'd LOVE to take some Copic classes. I'd be coming up from Columbus, so preferably, I'd vote for an all-day or 2 day thing! And, weekend, of course. Count me in!

I am so excited to see all your responses. Are you all familiar with Suzanne Dean. If not let me know and I will post a link to her blogs.
Not sure exactly where I will hold it yet, but just wanted to see if there was enough interest. She has beginner classes and more adnvanced. The price runs from 75.00-85.00 for a 5 hour class.
I'd like the link, if you don't mind. I've never heard of her.

I live in Lockbourne -- just outside of Grove City. This means I am in Columbus, Ohio. I have no problem in traveling anywhere in the state for a stamping get together and Reynoldsburg is really close. I go to the Newark area because I love going to Dresden to purchase items for my baskets.
I am interested in the shoebox swap. I have never done one and they sound like loads of fun.
It would be fun to put something together and I am willing to help organize a get together.
Count me in --

I live near Circleville,Orient,Ashville,Grove City. Thanks,Kathy B.

Oh, thank goodness!!! I was beginning to think I was the only person on here from Northeast Ohio. I'm in Trumbull County. Just curious . . .where are you?
Hey, it's really nice to find out someone lives so CLOSE!! I just sent you a PM...
Is anyone planning on going to Adventures in Stamping in Strongsville, OH on October 11th? I want to go but I would like to meet some other SCS'ers there.
Kathy
Nice to "meet' you! My hubby is Army, but we go to the AFB to do alot of stuff since hubby's base is very limited. What part of NE Ohio do you live in??
