Be sure to check under the fridge, too! That was nasty with cat hair and dust. I had forgotten that there was a drip pan underneath. Bonus...Now DH is using his Spin Mop (he claims it is the best birthday present ever...LOL!) to wash the kitchen floor! Gotta love a guy who knows how to clean!
Since I'm confined to the living room now while the kitchen floor is wet I can assemble my NVRs.

Hello ladies, just wanted to drop in and say I'm going to miss you! Nancy I would like to offer some gifties, how many do you need?
We'll miss you, too, Sherry! There are no door prizes this time. Nancy is putting together 16 goodie bags. Good luck to your guys and you with school and sports, etc.!
Here's a pic of the faster plaster cabin crafting.

Inspiration for my ATC arrived in the mail today! And this project involves washi tape, too. I have them 3/4 finished. I need to wait for tomorrow morning so I have daylight to check my final color choices. I have a couple of basic ideas for my other two projects.

Arlene, Sherry means for the goodie bags, I am sure everyone would want extra goodies in their bags, I know I would.
Sherry if you want to send 16 for the bags I would be happy to add them for you, I am sure Nancy would love it.

LOL! I was trying to be subtle, Pat, without outrght begging...
This morning in the daylight I was checking my two ATC color choices and they both look good. So I asked Stephen and he said they were equal so I should do some of each color!
Work is slow so I wish I was home working on my swaps. I don't like to bring them to work to work on 'cause I don't want to give our employee ideas. Of course, that doesn't seem to matter because he's worked on his daughter's wedding invitations on company time and most recently on her baby shower invitations...while sitting right next to DH. He could come in before hours and do personal stuff. Guess who REALLY paid for her invites??? He has been here 36 years and we really don't offer any benefits so I guess free invites is a perk...it just would have been nice to have been asked if it was OK.
I tried the first step for my twisted but I haven't figured out the best way to make the whole thing work. I think that I need to save that one to work on Saturday.
thought I would update you guys on kari. got a last minute email Saturday saying she knew it was late notice but she & her mom would be at the cabin on sunday. if possible they would love to see allen & I for dinner. so we changed our plans and went up for a few hours.
kari was there w/ wayne and his two kids. his son was one of kari first students more than 10 years ago. Charlie is 15 . his daughter is 12.
wayne and kari have bought a house together. so kari has more than a hours drive into work(same school),in MA. she will also be teaching an evening class one night a week.
she seems so happy! they "go together". seem happy. kids adore her. miss that she is so far away but the move from ny seems the right fit for her.
allen took the dogs for quite a hike w/ her mom. boy she looks great! she has a trip planned w/friends. going to Panama,in nov. after the 1st of the year back to Norway.
kari says hello to all. missing the NY stampin girls. to replace stamping she is taking pottery classes. I let her know we miss and ask about her often!
which reminds me I need to email her-I never got her new mailing address!
WOW! I have been sitting at the computer at work all day without a break the last two days! That needs to stop or my shoulders will REALLY be sore and locked into humpbacked position!
When I woke up this morning I thought of a "nauti-cool" idea for my my shoebox using all stamps - old and new - that have not seen ink before! I will try it out tonight to see if it works.
Looks like I won't be working on cards Saturday. We learned this morning that we will be going to Rochester Saturday morning for a memorial service. The 32 year old mother of our great-nephew (3rd grader) and his three half-siblings passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. Our nephew is going to have a memorial service for his ex-wife...that's a long, complicated story (Sarah's parents want custody of all four children who have been living with them most of their lives accept when Jason and Sarah were married.). I guess Jason is quite devastated even though they were divorced for a few years...she was his first love at age 15. They had become close friends again. I feel SOOOOO sad for the four children!
Wow, this week stinks. We lost a dear family friend this week and memorial service will be September 14. Then yesterday DeMud lost her first Father in Law. She was widowed when Jen was 9 and so Jen lost her Grandpa and they were very close. Just talked to Denise and that service will also be sometime next week. At this point, I need to bow out. Sorry ladies.

Trying to clean my craft room again today. Need space to work at my desk so I can do my NVR's. If I had a nickel for every time I had to clean my work area............I could buy lots more stamping stuff to fill it up again!
Hope everyone is having a happy crafting day!

The memorial service was nice this morning on the beach near Seabreeze Amusement Park. The rain stopped long enough for the short service. There were about 25 people. My BIL read something my FIL the minister wrote. Our nephew read the Irish poem Remembered Joy that I had put on the back of the memorial cards I made. A few people mentioned some nice things about Sarah. We released balloons (not so environmentally friendly but pretty). Afterward DH and I went to brunch with his brother, sister, BIL, and two of their grand kids. After that DH said let's go to the George Eastman House so we took the tour and got home about an hour ago. We're tired! I dozed off a little bit in the car coming home.
"Tied The Knot?" is the name of my shoebox, Nancy. I'll cut the paper for that tomorrow and then figure out my twisted swap.
Anyone else cold??? I have my little heater on warming my feet!
